Aeilgeirr let loose a sigh."They're mostly in shock, you know. They won't move for anything." The eladrin chuckled. "So...do you know where your friends went? Pretty much the only lead we have."

"if it isn't 'Fallapart'!" returned the chuckle, before turning to Mercy. "This is Sehanine Avenger of Mercy Vondervelde, Sehanine this is Fallsapart and demon child."Again laughed,

Ambra Goldstar Mage in Training Ambra would cross her arms as her face became grumpy. "I'm part devil, not part demon. Get your extraplanar outsiders right! Also that's awfully judgmental coming from someone from the Underdark. What was that business back there? Why were you acting so weird? You also forgot to mention your own name." The pint sized tiefling's tail would twitch in obvious agitation. She would look over at the avenger and ask. "Do you know this guy?" ((At this point, if Tafiir leaves Ambra doesn't follow him.))

Suddenly, friends! Mercy was amidst making another confused face at the half-kin's increasingly unstable antics when the other two arrived. Immediately she could see the air of adventure around them. Not citizens, for sure. Acolyte as she was in the elvish culture, it was easy enough to tell the entity before her was High Elf, native to the Feywild herself. By ancestry, anyhow. This one had an odd look about him, though perhaps she was just starting to get paranoid. The other? Another half-kin, though at least this one seemed to have her wits about her.
She could only giggle and shake her head at the tiefling, "No more than I know you, cuteling. Though I am starting to get the impression 'weird' is his modus operandi. What's this about friends, now?"

@ Thork:
Kassandra would pause, looking at you thoughtfully for a few moments. "She's not here," she responded slowly, as if uncertain if you would consider that good news or bad news. "All I know is who came here wounded, or... worse. I haven't seen Miranda. Was she...?"
Though the line of questioning came end when Thork got out of bed. She hurried over to him. "Hey, hey, what are you doing? You're not going to get better quicker if you don't stay off your feet. And I got this, don't worry. I... remember the patch job you did on your mother's cow two harvests ago. Unless you've vastly improved your bedside manner since then, there's not much you can do here."
Kassandra, despite the forced smile from her own jest, would step in front of you, hands up in front of her peacefully and she makes gentle shoving motions to coax you back onto your bed.

@ Everyone Else:
(Tafiir mentioned leaving in his second-to-last post, but I can't tell if his last post, which doesn't mention leaving, means he's staying or not.
Since questions and introductions are flying around, I'll let you guys continue for now, and I'll give you a proper post when it sounds like I need to.)

Tafiir ignored Ambra's lecture and answered many of her questions with a shrug. "Tafiir, just a roaming friendly jestor" Sightly more interested in watching the small tail twitch back and forth. "hm?" Only breaking the trance with Mercy's question. "ah, friends... you know, the kind that trades grandma's pies with... someone else's grandma's pie, that is. And my only lead, not followed, we were interupted by a trio of bards... Deviling, does your tail keep time?"
(staying, for now)

Kassandra's answer carried with it just as much hope, as it did uncertainty. “Cow still no like Thork...No...Not same, this time Thork leave healing to Kassandra. Mother with Thork in battle, Mother grabbed from Thork side. Thork want find Mother. Thork want know, why beasts not stay in field and wood pass Gell farm?”
Thork tightened his muscles, least the ones that didn't hurt so much, in order to stay up. Knowing he could, in prime health, pick her up and set her on the bed, instead. But, he just reached for his glaive and used it to support his weight, in peaceful defiance. “Thork find what need know, visit tavern, bring Kassandra drink, Thork stay for month… Thork promise”
(not that he/I would care, but would he still be dressed?)

"Miss Vondervelde, I'm Aelgeirr Afvar and this is Ambra. I take it you've been enlisted to search for the Orb too?" The eladrin said as he sketched a polite bow. "As it stands, his pie trading friends are the only lead we have right now. It seems we should follow Mister Dökkálfr if he so wills. Or we can try tracking them on our own." Aelgeirr said with a resigned shrug.

@ Thork:
Seeing that she would be unable to stop you, and you were healing up surprisingly well, she relented and went back to the unconscious patient she was treating. "For what it's worth..." Kassandra said, pausing to grab a nearby pair of shears to cut the thread of the suture she had been working on, "I heard the Orb protecting this city shattered mysteriously, and the monsters are coming back. Didn't take them long." She paused. "I'm not sure if its true or not. If something really did happen to it, we may need to leave Clearwell. Especially the outlying farms, where you live."
Thork! You're still dressed from the waist down, and your (mostly shredded) missing clothes are nearby. You'll probably want to go home and change at some point; in the meantime, it's the crossbow show and everyone's invited!
You can probably safely leave now without struggle if you wanted.

Ambra Goldstar Mage in Training "Ah!" Ambra would let out a little affronted noise at the mention of her tail. She would stop twitching it and would attempt to curl it up underneath her her skirt. "I'm a Tiefling, a Tiefling! Get it right!" Ambra would look pouty for a moment before continuing. "Anyways, I have a lead of my own. One I feel is more reliable. From what I know of the magical properties of the artifact, I have deduced that it is either being kept on the edge of town or is no longer here at all. I believe it would be prudent to investigate the previously abandoned buildings on the outskirts. I also discovered the culprit had to have been here for at least a day and no one apparently has seen him, so my guess is he must hiding in a place like that."Ambra would look at the avenger. She was quite pretty and wasn't afraid to show it. She had an air of confidence about her one would get from a seasoned adventurer. "I was told that the mayor deputized other individuals besides us to help with this investigation. Do you have papers as well? Are you here to assist us?"

Mercy could only stare wide-eyed at the little wizard, unable to look away. Her hands even came up to cover her mouth and grasp at her chin, pushing her chest together quite suggestively, though it was unintentional for once. "Goddess preserve, she's too adorable to be real..."
Shaking her head to snap herself out of it, she was about to comment her approval on meeting with those type of 'friends', considering many of that type were worshipers of Sehanine. But then the cuteling brought up a very curious suggestion.
"I am just so~" she responded, pulling the papers out from her cleavage and presenting them cheerfully. "These are better leads than I had. Considering my luck so far, I would rather second the idea of going out and searching ourselves. The locals have not proven to be particularly helpful. In either case, I am at your service~"

"No good...." Thork tried to imagine how such a protected magical item could have been shattered, but in the end just shook his head... it made his head hurt, just trying to understand the basic forces of the divine and arcane. This was on a whole new level. Besides, the only image he could think of at the moment was an orb just blowing up, for no reason. What he could put together was; it was possibly going to continue and more friends would parish.
"Thank you," As he moved over to the half-elf and gave her a light hug. "Kassandra no worry 'bout Thork. Thork find truth, come back for Kassandra if bad. Move people to safer place..."
Releasing her, and before she could say anything he moved to the door and made his way to the Mayor's office. Clothing could wait; He would bet Zanther was with her, the Captain would have, and Zanther might know where Mother was.
"Thork! Look for Zanther" He called as he knocked on the door.

@ Thork:
A trio of guards would be by the mayor's office, originally startled when Thork approached. Before he even got to the door, one young human lady raised her arms up in the air victoriously, with a "YES!"
The other two sighed and fetched some coins from their purses and gave it to the first guard. Apparently, you were the subject of some sort of bet, Thork.
"Sorry, Thork, the Mayor's not to be disturbed right now," the girl would say, storing her newfound shinies.
"She be writing a speech t' address th' incident last night. Supposed t' be a rally t' th' public within th' hour," a dwarven lass would say.
When they find out you're looking for Zathers, though, the half-elf guy would inform you, "I think he's at the barracks, Thork. They have as many militia as possible riding out to catch anyone who's left Clearwell in the past two days, he's probably trying to keep the search going as well as he can and focusing on that." He would add, "Sorry, I haven't seen Miranda, not since..." You think he was about to finish the sentence with 'last night' but he decided not to say so.
If you decide to head towards the barracks, you will come across a rather chaotic scene in front of a temple with a half-elf, an eladrin, a human, and a tiefling though...

After listening to the guards speak; a low growl came from the depths of his throat, one of displeasure than anger directed at anyone. But, after thanking the three he would proceed to the barracks... Slowing down at the sight of newcomers, armed newcomers. Maybe lost?
With a hard wack of his glaive's handle against a nearby stone, an attempt gain the attention of the group in question. "Town have no lollygaging law... Thork suggest tavern, that way." and motioned in that direction.

"A rose by any other name..." Tafiir shrugged at Ambra's racial comment.
"Or she is someone that has often travels to the town; a merchant, cattlemen, traveling clergy, or an adventurer with new gear. It is easier than one thinks, to hide plain sight. Just ask Fallsapart about the guards, who almost arrested him for suspition." he finished with a devious smile.
Though, the loud crack made him jump. "we were about to move anyway."
Occ; what part of town was the rogue's den?
