Who the hell is this Lady Sovereign you're all talking about? I'm so out the loop but I'll inherently hate her for being so chavish domokun

Oi! it's not stupid! That's Patios you're dissin' blad ya get me.
....
What is it with "British Youth" emanating all this blacktitude and whatever other subcultures are muddled in. Bah, and they call it diversity.
Whilst a lot of it goes straight over my head, it's not the patois that irritates me it's the 'song' constructed around it.

Her newer single '9 to 5' is much better. I'm not sure if I'd buy it, but it doesn't make me want to put through the speakers when I hear it. 3nodding

She's the latest flavour of the month Grime MC. The image pictured above is publicity work, she isn't always a Mel-C-a-like.

It's not something I know much about, but I prefer Shystie & they both scored major label deals. ninja Plus MIA is far better if female fronted urban is your thing ninja

Apparently everyone is from Chav Central. sweatdrop

'Cos the chavvs are EVERYWHERE.
cry
Unfortunatly, that is very very true. sweatdrop

Assholes.
The easy, and slightly inhumane, solution is to introduce genocide. It's only slightly inhumane as it's chavs, and they couldn't spell genocide even if you gave them a dictionary.

Sorry, but I don't know all the lingo of the UK. sweatdrop What is a chav? redface

ugh, music in general isn't saying much to me atm. I mean, grime? wtf is that? and what happened to garage? it used to be semi-melodic now it's all.. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM @.< as is most music. Either that, or its got Lil' John in the back shouting YEA! like a t**t or 50 cent in it. WHY!!!!?? Dear Lord why?! crying

Because you're clearly listening to the wrong music.

Surely that depends on what station you listen to & what you want to hear. Though the majority of material on our airwaves is shite yus sad

Alkaline Trio
This is our biggest fear
The only tunes that we hear
Come via antenna through your car radio

Grime is...words fail me to be honest, Garage isn't my cup o tea & using it to further dilute DnB irritates me greatly. Also is Dizzee Rascal grime? He's the biggest name attatched to the genre, but he predates it & doesn't quite fit the Garage with BITS of DnB & Hip Hop added template. confused

My current favourite album is still Arcade Fire - Funeral & has been for about 6 months since it displced Dresden Dolls. Both these are (to paraphrase the latter) 'anachronistic' rather than cutting edge.

You mean it's possible to listen to music other than on the radio! @.< I never knew! v.v

Grime is pure and utter crap, really, that's all you need to know. I think the reason DR is considered grime is because essentially he was the first artist to hit the mainstream with that sound. So people automatically associate him with it.

My current fav albums - Employment, The Score, Get lifted
