He had nothing else better to do, apparently it was useless trying to bring her back to life. Could they fight from this end? "Amrita?" He started off slowly, barely a whisper. "Amrita can you hear me?" A little louder, a little more insistent. He pushed one of the chairs on the other side of her so he could sit in it. Staring at the ghoul, he grabbed her hand. "C'mon Rita," He used her nickname. "You cant let this be the end. I know you are strong, you helped keep my lazy a** in line all this time. Not an easy feat, only a few have tried and actually gotten somewhere." He felt like he was pleading with a statue, but still he continued. He had to. "Rita they are all fighting for you, can you see them?" The floor was still moving, but he was trying his best to ignore it. He couldn't help them from this end, they needed to take care of things themselves. "They are trying to get you out of here, just as i am trying. Rita... So many people love you, I love you too. We need to find a way out, there is still hope. There is still a chance. You just need to come back to us. Dont leave us, open your eyes!"

"No." She said softly and then, fingers curled into fists, she stomped her foot on the ground and said it solidly again. " No. I am not arguing, I am simply stating what we are. We have a choice..." And they had made that choice by walking through the door. She shuddered as her vision faltered, swaying on her feet as the hunger threatened to finish consuming her again. "Is this what you want? The chaos of children scrapping in front of you?" Her voice was low, worn and simmering with anger. "One by one until you find someone to consume, until we consume each other. One by one." There was a singsong trace of madness in her words at the end; the only trace of a warning before she lunged forward to attack. [[ 2d6-6 Stamina: 2 ]]

Chaos was breaking out once again. Shun narrowed his eye as everything transpired, leaving Jove to deal with Pachua and the blade. For now he turned towards the figure.
"What do you mean, as you awaken?" he asked lowly.

He let out an explosive HISS of frustration and pulled out the sword he'd found in one of the treasure rooms. "Give it back… give it back or I'll just use this instead…" All the same he attempted to swat the dagger out of Jove's grip before, if that failed he turned the blade around, shielding his sides with his wings and pointed it at his core with a determined expression and shaking hands. "Rita… Remi… if you can hear me, we're willing to die for BOTH of you, and I want to believe you can, but I'll damned well do it and it might make him stronger, so you need to listen…because I'm going to start counting, and if I don't get the dagger back this…really might be worse…and hurt a LOT MORE." He shook his head vigorously. "Don't assume I'm some wet behind the ears newbie… I was here when remi was just starting, Ive been away…but I'm not…weak, or stupid or in need of protecting, its high time I protected"

"In theory yes," the figure replied to Lan, "but it seems a choice has already been made. If you have reason to find me, and you seek revenge, then we can make another bargain sometime, young horseman."

As Aldara moved forward to attack, the figure raised their staff, the harpy colliding with the staff instead.
As she touched the staff, a part of her began to grow cold, spreading through her, her limbs, her arms heavy. She felt herself fall to the ground, and then everything around her darken before fell out of existence.
Where Aldara stood there was only a statue in her place.

He stepped over her statue now, and turned away from Shun, walking towards the throne to sit steadily on it. A small smile grazed his features. "I mean as I said. When I awaken. As I awaken. Both are promises."
He sat, and simply watched the chaos unfold, like an orchestra around him.

The statue stirred, Amrita's statue, and it turned to look at Remi. It raised one arm towards him.
"That's good," the figure said, leaning back, "Tell them more."

Lan took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as she began to smile.
Hope-
Revenge-
She would have given herself up a dozen times if it would mean they would be back, returned, whole. Able to take back what had been lost while crushing those who had taken.
"I would love that.' She bowed, arms folding into robes, stepping back, letting the students do as they wished.
She'd been given and offer-
And it was too good to pass up.

Shun gritted his teeth as he saw one of the younger ones get turned to stone. There went his plan of attacking the figure for now. They were currently up against something more powerful. That much was obvious. He stared down at the runes scrawled in his arms, then turned back to the staff user.
"And what exactly causes you to awaken? Can't you Legacies just stay asleep for once?"
Upon hearing Lan, he began to open his mouth to object but soon closed it and just placed a hand up to his head. Why. Just why.

Jove was taken off guard by the surprise attack, and his feet stumbled over the rough floor. The dagger slipped, and skidded noisily across the ground while Jove simultaneously attempted to keep from falling over, and reach for the dagger again. Even if the coatl knew Remi and Amrita long before Jove had arrived, he had known them too. And he knew neither of them would forgive him if he let one of their friends die on his watch! The pup struggled, but in the end gravity won out and he fell over before getting his tendrils back on that dagger.

Gene had enough. She walked forward, still hurting from hunger, still in her ridiculous get up, and looked the figure straight in the face.
"What do you think we are? Playthings? What makes you so much better? I'll tell you what - nothing. You're awful, terrible, cruel and mean. I can't believe you'd do something as awful as this. You should truly be ashamed of yourself."
Yeah, she even went mom and the big bad.

he lunged and snatched up the dagger, sending the sword skittering into a corner and pressed the tip to his chest breathing hard, wild eyed. "If I do this… At least one of them comes back… yes?… He stopped for a moment, jaw slackening as he saw what was becoming of Aldira, the beautiful harpy ghoul whom he'd dragged into this terrible mess. A statue… a lifeless piece of stone, he wasn't sure if that meant she were truly dead, or simply frozen. They'd take it away again if he let them, or Ghosts and goblins knew what else. It was a slim chance, but if it wasn't the right one then… well with her, as stone, and Remi gone… the nice ghoul who'd been turned into a monster trapped… maybe gone. What else could he do? Protect… Sacrifice. He plunged the dagger home.

At least the feeling of turning to stone was one that she had recently become familiar with. In another nightmare she had been a marionette unable to keep her Queen from falling. She had paid the price then, just as she was now...
The cold moved far more quickly than the petrification process had in Wonderland. Instead of giving her a chance to move slowly, to attack again (or say goodbyes), it knocked her to the floor. From there the chill moved rapidly, consuming her as it converted what remained of her FEAR starved body to stone.

It moved. "Why isn't she replying?" She tossed over at the figure. "Is she really in there or are you toying with me? "Rita? Rita can you hear me?" He continued on, speaking with the statue as it started to move more, its arm reaching for him. Instinct forced him to grab the hand, to see if it perhaps wanted help standing? "Amrita, c'mon girl you cant leave us here." "Remember all the stupid trouble we used to get in to?" He hadn't exactly been a good influence on her life, seemingly going on stupid little adventures together. "Remember the train? And the Butterfly nets? Remember the stupid walks through the forest as we pondered what to do next?" He paused, staring even more at her. "C'mon, i cant lose one of my best friends. Not now, not like this. Dont let them beat you!"
