Jove was starting to get even more frustrated by the second. How was he supposed to catch preyons if they kept getting underfoot? At this rate his student-pet would have nothing to draw with. And Jove couldn't have that. He was always good to his pets.

At the sound of another crunch under his boots, Jove's ears flattened. This was not working. He should just sit still and let the preyons come to him. How many boxes did those deer teachers bring back anyway?

Jove took his seat next to Llyr once again, and waited. This time little tendrils were poised and ready, they could snatch up anything that came near. And soon one preyon did come within reach.
The ghost's invisible tendril struck, knocking the preyon into a chair leg and scooping it up. Great, that was two now! Jove shoved it into his pocket with the white bitey one.

With a renewed sense of focus, the pup hovered and waited. And waited. And then finally another preyon wandered by.
Jove was so eager he snapped the poor thing in half trying to snatch it.
Why did they have to be so fragile?

While Jove was scowling at all the preyons still skittering around the floor, one of them had the audacity to creep up behind him and bite his poor fluffy tail. The ghost jumped, whirled around twice, and finally removed the colourful little monster. Finally, three of them! That was enough to draw with, right?

With all three preyons safely tucked in his pocket, the pup sat down to nurse his injuries.The bite on his tail only hurt a little, most of the mouthful had been fluff. It was more shocking than anything. But the bite on his finger... It had started to bleed a bit, sickly dark blood that oozed out of the small puncture wound.
He frowned, and reluctantly grabbed a bandaid. A little white skull one, that not only fit on his tiny finger, but blended in almost entirely against his winter-white skin. Jove wagged his tail, feeling much better about the whole situation, and trotted back to his seat. He left little rainbow scuffs of preyon wax on the floor with each step.

Piper went squinty-eyed at Matty and made the I've got my eye on you motion. She probably would have shouted more, but the class was moving on.
By moving on, of course, she meant taking two steps and getting bitten by one of those darn things.

There were many frustrated and annoyed groans leaving the ghoul.
This apparently was preyon speak for let's bite her some more. She felt the weird feeling again but at least wasn't turning into more colors, thank Jack.

She gave up. She just gave up. Apparently the only way to get them to come to her was to let them bite her, and so after a nasty green one nipped at her ankle, she snatched it up and called it an overall success. Even though this was a horrible shade of red.

Grumbling curses in another language, Piper took three band-aids to cover the bite marks, feeling sorry for herself. Seriously, self? Maybe if they had been allowed to use like spells and stuff . . .
"It's going horribly," she whined at Brenley as she came back over, her hair even poofed a bit in outrage. "I can't catch anything and they kept biting and it's just so awful." She moved to lean against him for support in her terrible plight.
"How about you?" Piper eyed his new yellow color with a small wrinkle of her nose.

LOLTERNATIVE I fell asleep waiting on gaia to behave..., Rolled a 3 last post rping it here. Charybdis lunged for another preyon, gaining herself another bite. She cursed again under her breath. "My lot?" She felt a bit odd when he touched her, she wasn't use to touching. Her family had been very formal, it left her feeling...strange. "Oh dear, this is going to get weirder?"

Charybdis snatched up her final preyon and sat down beside the boy. Ca'refully, she unstuck the bandaids and tried to stick them on the right places of her skin--which wasn't easy as she'd never used a bandaid before. Her skin was a little itchy from all this air and no water.
Finally, she gave with the bandaid's--the rainbow coloured one pressed oddly to her cheek and the long yellow one with white stars trapping her two fingers to each other.
SHE DID IT!
