The Great Absolute There, now I've posted. We'll see how she does. I appreciate your post Ertai. This line screams evil b*****d: "Ertai returned his gaze to the woman or girl he was about to splay like a whore. " Thems fighting words. Have you ever watched House of Cards? I imagine Ertai sounding like the main character of that. Best supervillain voice ever.

******** people bringing like 8 swords into the arena with them.
Are you expecting them to break or something?
First Justice, then Shocking, then Ertai...

Scalar Warfare Are you expecting them to break or something? First Justice, then Shocking, then Ertai... I imagine people like to throw their weapons when lacking any other ranged option.

True that. I remember this from the Lu-Bu days: "In most cases these wire spikes are used to entangle and disarm the opposition’s weapon and sometimes gouge. Attached to the hilt facing outwards with the hand guard is a large ring, this ring is used to spin and maneuver the weapon as Ertai deems fit, often using it to change up style and stance. On the bottom of each hilt is a protruding spike. "

I imagine people like to throw their weapons when lacking any other ranged option. I do this all the time, usually with in the first few posts of the fight. Most likely will do... Not to mention... Telekinesis for really really cool combative attacks.

Ertai is the king of dead locks, making it very very rare that a fighter will escape his web of trickery and critical strikes.

I understand having different weapons for different things, but I'm not sure I understand having more than one of anything besides throwing daggers.
Normal weapons are not balanced for throwing in any meaningful sense.
Telekinesis is a possibility, but even then I'd just use an off-hand weapon while pressing the fight with my main one.
Just seems un-necessary, imo, and weighty besides.

The more a fighter relies on weaponry the more applicable this becomes. The inability to rationalize combat with out weapons becomes hard, especially to the D&D / Anime rip offs. Now Tres is something else entirely, much the same as Sieg. Weapons can work, but it is much better to clash with them hand to hand. Have an appreciation for martial arts and the details of true combat.

Throwing balanced weapons is fine and dandy, but at 10 feet or so, you can zip a sword at an opponent ( keep in mind our characters are usually pinnacles ) with no problem. Telekinesis is a problem for you when Ertai is duel wielding and a third blade comes into the picture controlled with his mind. You see just a bunch of pointy metal things. I see situation tools and epic devices to kill. Then again, I love just plain ol H2H.
