The dark look was met with level eyes for the briefest of seconds before they flicked towards the ground, intently staring. He listened to the words, not replying with any of his own. Instead he receded back into his mind, where he would process the words to himself. Mimsy wouldn't have a reason to lie to him right? Then again maybe it was just a joke. Was that all it was? He would need to think about this more later...
It wasn't until Robert left that Quinn dared look up, and give a sigh slumping his shoulders. "I have no idea what i did to piss him off." He mumbled, not even sure if anyone could hear him. Usually Quinn wasn't this quick to anger people in his past experiences, maybe he needed to be more careful in Deus.
Turning his eyes towards Shiloh, he rather belatedly greeted him. "Hi Shiloh."

[Sun Division]He was nursing his ruined pride and throbbing foot when he saw someone near another harpoon sink down probably with the same idea as him. The other guy was also covered in some sort of blue goo to go along with the indignation of having to try to make one of these god awful weapons work. "You look like something that the cat drug in." He smirked slightly, calling out to the other.

Moon Division "Right. Because this thing looks stable to begin with." He muttered, more to himself than to her. His eyes followed where her hands moved, trying to remember the trick to charging up the net gun. "Yeah, yeah, I think I've got this..." Sink or swim, Land... He stepped back slightly, aiming the device as carefully as he could before attempting to charge the Runic Net, biting down lightly on his lower lip as he focused.

[ life division ]Oh this was just a riot to watch. Jack was off to the side, still nursing his glowstick and wine bottle, smiling to himself. He passed Ami a thumbs up once she had her go of the laser. "Fun, isn't it?" His eyes were still watching the others, so it was hard to tell if he meant shooting the monster or the odd tv sitcom happening before him. He added his own kissy noises for good measure before gesturing at Noah, having just noticed the fellow had arrived. "How goes the pressure, pal?"

Moon Division "Name's Arland." He grunted as he shifted the weight of the net gun on his shoulder again, readjusting his grip on it as he revved up the second charge. "Everyone just calls me Land, though..." Or they did when there were others who knew him well enough to call him that around. His nose wrinkled at that afterthought and he shook his head, finally pulling the trigger... Only to fly backwards as the net launched forwards. That warning sounded familiar. Mimsy kept her eyes on the runes that she had been busy sorting into piles, and didn't look away until she completed her work, because it was arguably some kind of science. And there was the safety of the research she had stored away to consider. That took precedence. She barely caught the droop in Quinn's shoulders when she turned back around, and she blinked at him, curious. He truly seemed to be disappointed, but she was fairly certain that there was no sort of connection between them that merited that reaction. "Nothing," she assured him, folding her arms. "I suspect that there is someone else to blame for that particular frustration, and I sincerely apologize for the misdirected attack that you received in their stead." If she really did regret it, it wasn't very obvious; her expression didn't read 'apologetic', though she did give him a sympathetic frown (or something close enough) after glancing at Lucky to see if he'd happened to register the telltale sound of vulnerability yet. 'Race you', said the playful tilt of her head. "Please don't feel discouraged. I am sure that it will smooth over when the environment is less stressful. Either way, I am here, and can offer my assistance for anything you might need." A little broad, but most knew her well enough to not ask for anything bizarre if they ever asked a favor of her.

Life DivisionNoah jumped as someone addressed him directly. Was he being pressed into some other job - no, it was Jack. Noticing him and saying hi, even. Jack got a bright, grateful smile in response. "I got a few runes matched before I got told to get out of the way," he reported. "Are you okay?"

"No a*****e, it is not fun. It ******** sucks having your house destroyed for the second time." She thought of poor Gale and Marcus. It must've been, what, twenty or thirty for them?
She sighed. "None of this is FUN. Just focus on taking that creature down, I don't want anything else needing repairs." A bitter, hardened look crossed her face. It seemed she had no care for the people in the buildings, but instead for the bulidings themselves. Rebuilding a library was difficult, alright?

[Moon Division] He had landed in a heap, luckily without knocking anyone else over... But his net gun was finished, that much was easy to tell from glancing at the smoke curling from it as he left it on the ground, rising to his feet and dusting himself off with a groan. "Yeah, sure... Fine." He nodded, one hand coming up to rub at his face. He then glanced at her and the gun she still had in hand, wondering if he should be preparing himself to catch her once hers fired. "Careful! Thing hits back."

Stuffing hands into his pockets he approached the others next, deciding it would be better for conversation if they were closer. As Mimsy spoke, he pondered her words. It was highly possible something else was bothering Robert, and he needed something to vent it out on. "You don't need to apologize, its not like its your fault." He looked towards Lucky curiously, not catching anything that went between the other two. He decided best to think about what happened earlier a later on, and keep his thoughts on the present time. "Can you tell me whats going on here in general? Class A, does that have a meaning? What are we doing to try and keep whatever is on the other side out?"
