Emma rested her eyes silently, her head slightly elevated on the side of Herald's chest. Finally, a sigh could be heard from her as her ears twitched and her eyes opened slightly to look at Herald "Are you alright?" she asked, noticing he seemed to be thinking to himself about something.

"Well I can see that." Emma laughed before glancing at some of the flowers near her, choosing not to question him any further if he didn't feel like talking.

Never Again...Herald looked over at Emma again. "About the future," he explained. "Both the future we're making and the future that was before. Sooner or later we'll have to find Divine before he finds us. He's surely aware of our existence by now and the fact that I am a kishin." Will I be bound in chains

Emma looked up at Herald again "Well... we can find the others then and plan something. That way, when we face Divine, we will be ready." she suggested.

Emma's ears went back slightly before she moved and nuzzled the side of his face to try and cheer Herald up. It was almost similar to what a cat would do. She laid back down again and smiled slightly towards him "Everything will be fine."

Never Again...Herald put his hand on Emma's head and scratched behind one ear as she nuzzled him. "Yeah..." he said distantly, looking back up at the clouds. Will I be bound in chains

Emma gave a worried look towards him before sighing and closing her eyes again. Her tail swayed slightly on the ground as she laid there.

"Alright. If you say so." Emma said with a nod as she shifted slightly to make herself more comfortable. After being silent for a few moments she looked up at him again "You said you saw the future right?... If you don't mind me asking, what did you see?" she asked with a curious look in her eyes.

Never Again...Herald looked over at Emma when he heard her ask about the future. After a minute of silence he spoke. "That boy Texas was dead in our future. I had killed him. But we....you and I....were together. You were my wife and....we had two children. An older boy and a younger girl. We cared for them very much..." he broke off at the last part, still trying to process everything himself. Will I be bound in chains

Emma continued looking at Herald as he spoke until she recalled Sarah and seeing her in the illusion and when Scratch pointed her out. She smiled towards him "Alright." she replied, unsure of how else to answer. She laid her head back down on him again as she thought the whole thing over.

Never Again...Herald looked down at her. "Just "alright"?" He asked her. He didn't want to admit it but he was curious to hear what she thought about what he had just said. It was a lot for him to take in when he had first seen it through Eric's memories. Will I be bound in chains

Emma muffled a laugh "I look forward to it." she told Herald with a small smile "Having a family like that sounds exciting."
