Lael grins. "Okay." She too turns to Darian, waiting for his responce to Kitara's earlier question.

Darian returns from looting the corpses carrying a small bag of gold from each and a rolled up piece af paper. "Anyone need some money? I get the feeling there's more where this came from too. This looks like a map." He moves the paper slightly.

Kitara takes a bag and hands it to Lael, "Here. This is for you, Lael. It may help with your supplies and maybe even help you with food or something."
She then turns to her cousin, "I think that we could use whatever we can get. We may have a long journey ahead of us."
Jay flits to Darian's shoulder so he can look at the paper while the elf looks at it.

Lael takes the money, promising herself to throw away the bag later. She doesn't think that even if she spent hours washing it she could get the smell of blood off it. "Thanks, Kitara," she says softly.

She nods in response, "You're welcome, but why are you so quiet about this, may I ask?"

"It's t-the blood. I-I don't like it." She shrugs. "I n-never used to mind it that much but now.... I can't s-stand the smell."

The elvish lady shifts her stance before asking, "Do you wish for me to carry the bag for you? Would that make you more at ease?"

Kitara slips the bag into her quiver, since it is a large quiver/bag, and nods.
"Anything to help, Lael," she says with a nod, "Anything for a friend."
She notices her cousin looking at the paper. She then starts looking for some weapons so to be ready for the next fight, especially arrows because she has no more in her quiver.

Lael nodds, smiling. Holding her nose so she won't have to smell the blood she follows Kitara's lead and begins to search the bodies carefully and nervously.

Darian unrolls the paper. "You guys may want to take a look at this!" he shouts towards his cousin and the albino. The paper was a map, but not to where the gold had come from. It had circles around many villages, and an "x" through some of the circled vilages. The elf noticed that his own village was one of the ones crossed off.

Elvini had told Lael that she needn't search for stuff from the soldiers, though she had tried to help. The elvish lady was picking up a few arrows before Jay chirped something about danger and Darian called for their attention. She stuffs the arrows into the quiver as she quickly goes to her cousin's side.
"What is it?" she asks before taking a look at the map, "Uh-oh. That's not good to hear."

Lael lays a trembling finger on the village of Tearn. "T-t-that was my h-home..." she whispers, more to herself than anyone else, not noticing Jay and Kitara.

The elvish lady looks at the village closer and figures out that it is Tearn.
She straightens up and says, "That was a good village. The people were very kind."
After a second, she says, "I'm sorry, Lael, if I've offended you or hurt your feelings somehow by talking about your hometown...."

"The circled vilages must be the ones they plan to attack," Darian says, his shock at how organised these bandits were evident in his voice, "And the ones with "x"s are ones that have been destroyed."
