"You talk as though there's someone else with you. Do you have a missing friend somewhere?" Cross asked, looking around, "This town is called Sybak, and is a part of the Plane of Aselia." Her mana was different too.
"I presume you've come here from elsewhere as well..." He didn't mention she was from another world, but he would not hide what he was. If the others were worried then he'd keep quiet about their lack of familiarity with this world.



'You're scared of me. Aren't you Emil?' Seras said telepathically, communicating with Emil through their minds. She didn't want to alarm Aeris, but this Emil character seemed like someone to watch out for. Maybe if he knew just how dangerous she truly was, then he'd think twice about attacking her.

Sesshōmaru wasn't sure what was happening, but at the same time, he wasn't too surprised either. Kagome had come to the feudal era through a well, so being surprised about being taken somewhere else was ridiculous. His only concern was getting somewhere safe for Rin before more wolves attacked. He had noticed some sort of bear as well. Thankfully, there was a place close by and he managed to reach it before another fight. It was the kind of place he'd normally find, and the number of people made him uncomfortable. "Are you still hurt, Lord Sesshōmaru?" He looked back at Rin, who was resting on his mokomoko-sama. The mass of fluff was also bleeding up front, but a few wolf bites weren't going to do much to him. "I'm fine, Rin." It did still hurt, though he couldn't tell Rin that. She'd worry and then he'd have to find some way to reassure her. Sesshōmaru wasn't that good with humans yet. He walked up to the gates of the prosperious, castle-like city. There was a sign of sorts that had the word "Meltokio" engraved on it. The name of the city perhaps? "Stay close to me, Rin." "Yes, Lord Sesshōmaru." The girl didn't move from her place on the fluff mass, and for a brief second, the daiyōkai smiled softly. It vanished quickly, though, as he looked around to find a place where Rin could rest properly. He also needed to find out where he was exactly.

Arianna smiled a bit at Sophie. At least she knew more than they did. "Palmacoasta sounds sort of cool." So, Natalia was a princess and it sounded like Sophie was friends with royalty, too. And, she herself was just a simple glass maker. Hkw did she end up with such a high-ranking lot? Arlin spoke to her about the Poké Balls and she smiled. "I'm not sure exactly how they work, but they're called Poké Balls. Typically, when a person's travelling, they carry their Pokémon in them for easier trips. We can also transport one Poké Ball for another with a Pokémon inside it. I'm pretty sure it's molecular reconstruction, but no one tells me anything. All I know is that it's a place for them to go when they're tired." She suddenly remembered that this place probably didn't have a Pokémon Center. How was she supposed to take care of the Pokémon if they got severely hurt?

Scythe watched eagerly as the lance fell; he had his hands clasped and his tails were wagging, his ear pricked and he turned abruptly as a tall blond man in red came dashing up at high speed ''Oh hi there, are you here for water to-whoa!'' as Scythe talked he shifted slightly causing him to slip into the oasis with a loud splash, spluttering he leaned on the bank with arms folded, meanwhile the lance continued it's descent...

Sophie looked at Arianna as she explained what the Poké Balls were. Molecular reconstruction? She didn't really understand that term, but it sounded like something the Fodrans would have eventually come up with. "Do they ever get bored or...stir crazy? What's it like inside a Poké Ball?" Sophie looked Hōpu, wondering why she hadn't recalled him. He must be very important to her if she didn't use one on him. "...What do I do now? Should I find a way home? I hope Asbel and the others don't miss me too much."

Poké Balls. That sounded way lamer than Arlin had thought. But, the function itself was interesting. Somehow, he couldn't help but think how convinent it would be if he could pull Natalia into one of those things when she forgot to take care of herself.

"Your people seem to have convinent items...."

Natalia smirked a bit. It was good to see Arlin so interested in something other than her training habits. He was being quite talkative, too, but she knew that would end when his interest was lost. Looking at Sophie, Natalia noticed she looked upset and then heard her quiet words. She mentioned the name Asbel, which the princess could only assume was the name of a close friend or something along those lines.

"...Is that a steamship? I've never seen one before. How about we go have a look. Doesn't that sound like fun, Sophie?"

It made Natalia sad to see such a young girl look so depressed. The least she could do was try to cheer her up.






Distract it? Hubert was sure a small distraction would end in a lot of injuries. But, if Gaius had a way to end this fight quickly, then distract he would do. The blue-haired teen attacked the creature with a flurry of shots before quickly striking with Tiger Blade again, jumping back as Serenity's dragon attacked the monster. Serenity went to follow up with an attack, but was hit and sent back. "Are you alright, Serenity?" Hubert went over to her and knelt. She was stunned, but who wouldn't be after an attack like that? Standing, he stood in front of her and used Scarlet Salvo to keep the monster away from her while she recovered. It was enough to send it back and make it slump as it grew tired. Whatever it was Gaius was going to do, it had to happen quickly. Hubert didn't want to take the risk of this thing having healing abilities.

Jade fell silent for a few moments as he examined the map. After Zaul pointed out Palmacosta, he tried to imagine the boat routes originating from there, and soon gauged that each targeted location would also take quite a while to get to by sea. To him, Palmacosta seemed like a slightly inconvenient place for a port considering how much landmass there was to navigate around. But then he also considered it must have been the easiest for big ships to gather there.

After having taken a few hearty spoonfuls of his meal while the others talked over the map, Zaul answered the women, first turning to Maka. "Yep, Luin. Ah think we can def'nitely make it within th' span of a day, provided nothin' holds us up. Then turning to Krystal, "Not much, Ah'm 'fraid. People gen'rally travel on foot. There're a few who can afford ta maintain pers'nal horses 'r ridin' dragons. The upper class have pers'nal horse-drawn carriages, then there's merchants' s'pply caravans that go from town ta town---but they're sure ta charge a hefty sum 'cause they do mind people takin' up space 'mong their goods."

Looking up from the map, Jade lightly smiled in amusement. "Hm. Sounds much like home, to be honest. Suffice it to say, we'll be primarily traveling on foot ourselves. I trust that everyone's alright with that?"

"Ah, is it now...?" Zaul uttered under his breath at the Colonel's remark, mildly curious. He was starting to become interested in learning more about the others' worlds, if time would provide it. Turning his glance to Soul and Maka, he asked, "What's a motorbike, by th' way?"

Sophie listened to Arianna. So, they did get lonely if kept inside too long like people. Were Pokémon and people similar in more than that one way? From the way Aqua and Glacius acted earlier when Sophie hid, it seemed that Pokémon had the intellegence of a human. Unless they had simply been trained that way. Dogs and cats remembered things like that, too, but only if they were trained to. When Natalia mentioned a steamboat and then addressed Sophie, the humanoid looked up at her. She smiled a bit before looking the boat in the distance. It was a big boat. "Me neither. The boats on Ephinea are run by cryas artes. Ha!" Upon hearing that Hōpu couldn't see well on wood, she looked at Arianna and tilted her head. Why couldn't he see? Looking closer, Sophie noticed a white glaze over the Pokémon's eyes and realized he was blind. Was that why she didn't use the Poké Ball on him? "...If you two can't go, then let's see if there's anything we can do together. We should be leaving soon, though, if we want to figure out what happened. Maybe we should ask around?"
