Eun-Ho Joong " Well yeah, but who cares about that? No, I mean sitting up front!" he practically cried, bouncing in the seat. " I never get to sit up front!"

Fredrich Waltz "Hmph. You got here earlier than I expected." Fredrich commended as he watched the rookie step into his office. He sat at his black chair, an arm on his desk and one long leg over the other. "I suppose you deserve something." Uncurling his fingers from his chin, he moved his arm back and pulled out a dish of cookies for the songwriter, the very same cookies he and Ellery made last night. "I should warn you that they're not the best. Do good today and I'll treat you to lunch later." Balthazar clung to the tail of Eun-Ho's shirt from behind as they entered the cold room that was the scary detective's. He peeked over the Korean once to see the man, only to see such a scary expression offer cookies. The small king pursed his lips and resumed hiding from him. Hmph. Those cookies were going to make Eun-Ho cry again, he was sure! King Balthazar

Eun-Ho Joong The blonde frowned and crossed his arms. " I'll have you know ,I'm not a dog! You can't just treat me like some lap- ooh, are those chocolate chip?" Offense suddenly thrown away, Eun-Ho happily scarfed down two cookies, handing Balthazar three. " Here, you walked fast." Mouth full, he barely noticed that they were burnt on the bottom, or that one of them had a weird sort of icing on it that he wasn't entirely sure of, but it was down his throat before he could dwell on it. Sitting on the chair in front of Fredrich's desk, he swallowing down his third cookies and held up his fourth. " So what're the plans for today, Detective?" he asked, motioning for Balthazar to sit on his lap.

Mayah Playah Icing... No... No, that's cruel. Fredrich Waltz Despite the sober look on Fredrich's face, a bead of sweat rolled down as he watched the Korean devour the cookies. Next time he'd be sure to have something ready so he could motivate the kid to actually get to work. Snapped out of his thoughts by the very main point of them, Fredrich curled his fingers beneath his chin once again and gave it thought. "Nothing out of a movie. I think it will be a slow day today. There's a quinceanera going on today, but the police will focus on that." As the detective talked, Bal felt a bead of sweat drop at the cookies offered to him. "No thanks." he murmured and shook his head vigorously. Unlike Eun-Ho, he could see the burnt side of the cookie (although he too didn't know what the icing was). That's when Fredrich noticed the boy. "You brought him here?" he asked in a stern voice. "I thought I told you to get a babysitter. He can't stay at a police departme-" "ATTACK!" Silence settled in the room. Almost like deja vu, Balthazar stood defiantly with one arm thrown out, and Fredrich sat in his chair, a fist underneath his chin calmly as a frog attached itself to his face. King Balthazar

Eun-Ho Joong " Bal!" cried Eun-Ho too late, wincing at the sight of the fierce detective with a frog on his face. Turning down to the boy, he started to scold him. " You need to stop attacking Detective Waltz with frogs, Balthazar, or I swear, I'll ground you myself! There's no chance he'll let you stay with me if you keep acting this way. And he's got a kid, so he's not afraid to yell at you!" Nervous green eyes looked back to the Austrian as he stood, picking up the kid and starting out of the office. " I'm... I'm gonna go sit at Lock's desk, mmkay?" The blonde didn't wait for a reply, ducking out and rushing tot he desk he was pretty sure Lock had taken as his own. Awesome nerd Maybe it's really icing. Maybe it's not.

Fredrich Waltz Two blue flames greeted Eun-Ho when the frog was taken off the detective's face. Fredrich did nothing else but glare hatefully at the Korean as the two younger males escaped. Once out of the cold atmosphere, Bal crossed his arms and huffed angrily at Eun-Ho. "He deserved it!" he whined in protest, even angrier about getting in trouble for this. "He's mean and gave you bad cookies!" And he made you cry, but Bal wouldn't mention that. King Balthazar

Eun-Ho Joong " I'm an adult, Balthazar!" he cried, setting the boy on the desk and standing with his own arms crossed. " I can defend myself to Detective Waltz, I don't need you to do it for me. Besides, they're just cookies. It doesn't matter. I've already let it all go." Eun-Ho exhaled through his nose, removing his right hand from its position and placed it on the Frog King's shoulder. " I don't need you to protect me, Bal. I'm protecting you, that's how it is."

Fredrich Waltz "Protecting me from what!?" demanded the small king, absolute fury on his face. Why was Eun-Ho defending that detective after all the things he had done?! Why did he like the detective better than him? What was Eun-Ho protecting him from, then? Because it definitely wasn't heartbreak. Refusing to listen to anything the pop star had to say Bal held in his angry tears and turned his head away. He crossed his arms and chewed on his inner cheek angrily. King Balthazar

Eun-Ho Joong The pop star sighed through his nose, pulling his hand back and sitting down on the chair. It's not worth the fight, he thought as he started looking through and organizing the papers he was sure had been left on the desk by the detective he was so good at pissing off. Eun-Ho worked quietly and quickly, having to check back every few seconds to recover his plentiful mistakes. He didn't even notice when it was almost time for lunch.

Fredrich Waltz "Hey." a deep voice said from a little ways behind Eun-Ho. By the time the celebrity would turn around, he would see Fredrich walking towards him and reaching into his pocket. Perhaps it was the imagination an admirer of his often had, but an artificial breeze blew through the room and blew at the detective's ink black hair. One hand swung slowly and steadily with his strides, and the other stayed in his pocket as his coattails billowed in the mysterious wind. He stopped a couple feet away from Eun-Ho and began leaning towards him... ... and held out a credit card for him to take. The wind instantly vanished and his hair and coat returned to normal. "It's time for lunch." Fredrich said. "There's a fast food restaurant nearby here, you can't miss it. Get me a number two and a Sprite. Feel free to buy whatever you and your... friend want." The card in the Korean's hand, the detective straightened up and put his hand back into his pocket. "You've got a forty minute break so don't take to long. Make sure it goes under credit." Without saying anything else, not even a goodbye, he turned around and walked out. King Balthazar

Eun-Ho Joong " Huh?" Eun-Ho looked up to the voice, eyes widening instantly and cheeks turning red. The cool detective strode closer, his mind creating a false wind to move that beautiful black hair from the cold, stony face that was so unbelievably attractive. Damn, he's so cool, thought the blonde as Fredrich came closer, holding his breath when he leaned down, only to deflate in disappointment when he was handed a credit card. With a stiff nod, he stood and sighed, sad eyes on Balthazar. " Yes sir," he murmured, reaching out for the Frog King's waist to help him down. " Come on, Bal. It's time to eat." He didn't look at him, or really at anyone. He was too humiliated.

Eun-Ho Joong A blonde whirlwind burst into the building, the flames streaked behind Eun-Ho as he rushed to his desk. Landing near his chair, he skidded to a stop and headed into Fredrich's office, panting heavily and appearance haggard. " H-here, Detective... W-Waltz," he gasped, setting the bag of food and the credit card on the desk. " Sorry... late... B-Bal!" The singer bent, his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.

Mayah Playah Pssst, I don't think Bal likes Freddy. Fredrich Waltz Somehow the Austrian wasn't surprised to see Eun-Ho so late, or disheveled. He sat at his desk, a gloved fist against his cheek as he fixed the celebrity with a bemused look. Despite his uninterested expression, the entire room was frosty from his icy glare. He took the food from Eun-Ho so that the star could catch his breath, and as he did so Fredrich looked at his food with dismay. It was cold, and he had no drink. Of course this would happen. He should have just gotten a bagel. The detective sighed and set the food on the far corner of his desk. "It's fine. Just give me my credi-" He froze when he saw a figure step inside casually. "Who are you?" he demanded, eyes glinting with many untold threats to the intruder. The visitor looked around with an equally unamused look before resting his green eyes on the detective. The two shared hateful glares, both unfazed by their silent profanities tossed at each other. "I am Balthazar." the man finally answered. He folded his arms behind his back pleasantly and smiled at the disbelief and confusion now covering the detective's face. "I told you long ago that I was a child because my curse hadn't been broken. It was just recently, and so I am myself again." Fredrich stared at the man that claimed to be the child from earlier, his head beginning to hurt with the lack of reasoning of it all. The only thing this man and Balthazar shared was their green hair and their bratty attitudes. What's more, why on earth did Eun-Ho bring him and seem perfectly fine with this - Well, he didn't seem fine, but not bothered by this man?! "So," he started slowly. "You expect me to believe that you were just earlier a little boy." "Yes." Balthazar replied just as slowly so as to annoy the detective. A small, victorious smirk twitched at the corner of his mouth when he saw that it had worked. "You work with the law. You work around a school that's seen stranger phenomena than the nearest conspiracy fan. Surely you can believe that the Frog King from fairytales has been freed from his curse." He unfolded one arm and held it out, the palm facing the ceiling. Soon there was a flash of green light, and a frog rested on his hand. "Or shall I toss this at you to prove myself?" he asked with a defiant grin on his face. King Balthazar
