if anything bothered him more than the pain those stomps caused, it was the words of his foe. Jarel could rarely say that he truly hated another competitor, but he hates Nuke. He will not simply lay down, no matter the damage to his leg. After taking several stomps, he rolls away and once again begins to push himself back to a vertical base

No, that just wouldn't settle for Nuke. How dare the lesser man not just lay back and take the punishment he deserves for being a comparatively lesser competitor.
Slowly following Jarel over, the Nuclear God went to keep the stomps going, even with the ref protesting about his use of the top rope for stability.

Jarel can't keep taking the stomps. Though he wouldn't tell anyone else, his leg is bordering on useless. But he's got one good leg, and he pushes himself to his feet and dives forward, swinging his right fist forward in an effort to knock Nuke's head off

Nuke just wasn''t expecting what happened as Jarel bolted forward and clocked him hard in the jaw. Staying on his feet for a few seconds and just staring out at the crowd, Fusion then gradually fell backwards in tot he ropes, where he was able to hang on just barely.

Jarel's leap of faith had done the trick, gotten Nuke off him for a few precious seconds. The Dragon regains his feet again and walks forward, even more noticeably limping. With Nuke now thrown through a loop, Jarel turns to different tactics, aiming to grab the smaller man by the throat and simply choke him against the ropes

Nuke felt the big hands of Jarel wrap around his throat, and he panicked. He had nowhere he could move, and while the ref attempted to stop the illegal hold, Fusion could get in a cheap shot; but he didn't want to end the match by disqualification.
The ref couldn't break the hold and so started his count towards DQ for Jarel.

Jarel holds the choke in, wanting to feel Nuke cease to breathe if he wants to be quite perfectly honest.
one....two....three....four....
The Dragon releases his choke abruptly, just in time to avoid his disqualification. But just as soon as he releases the hold, he throws a slap at the face of Nuke, choosing to show his own form of disrespect

Nuke coughs and splurts as his body reacts to the lack of oxygen, breathing in heavily. His face was already red, but even more so as Jarel's hand came across his face, leaving a mark and sending out a ringing noise across the arena.
Some fans shouted "WOO!" while others cheered, but Nuke was left against the ropes still, shaking his head to regain composure again.

"Where's all your talk now, big man? What's that you said about giving up?"
With each sentence, jarel would throw another slap, not aimed as much at being painful as it is humliating.
'Show me that pain you were bragging about!"

Nuke took each slap, and within his head each of them awoke his senses a little more. Perhaps a little cocky, Fusion then did something particularly stupid.
He went to spit in the face of the Dragon again, then aiming to push him away with his boot to gain some space between them.

Jarel finds spit on his face once more, and that just irritates the living crap out of him. He hates spit, especially Nuke's spit, the little b*****d, and he's pushed back a step. He wipes the spit away and quickly attempts to clock Nuke with another right to the side of the head

Whether it be him back on his feet fully or just pure instinct, Nuke ducks under the incoming strike, and gets behind Jarel. Roaring out some form of uncomprehensible war cry, Nuke aimed a series of hard kicks towards the left knee of Jarel, knowing that he already had it weakened and just wanting to damage it as much as he could.

slightly off balance, Jarel can't avoid the kicks to his already bad knee, which succeed in taking the big man off his feet yet again. so near the ropes, he rolls out onto the apron, mainly to get away from the kicks that were continuing to wear down his leg

With each kick that connected, the crowd were going quieter and quieter. Nuke was on top for sure, and he was going to make sure of that as he followed the Dragon on to the apron, each movement and thought process very deliberate. Reaching towards Jarel, he attempted a quick eye rake from an angle that the ref wouldn't be able to see anything.

has anyone mentioned that Nuke's a b*****d? If not, it' bears mentioning. The cunning little b*****d just blinded Jarel temporarily with an eye rake, leaving jarel hanging onto the ropes with only one hand at this point
