Smith chimed in after having listened to enough of the pink one's jabbering. "Cypher move on to the purple one, that pink one is a dimwit she has no useful information to us because she has no information!"

Cypher quickly scooted away while Ama busied herself with getting a drink. The pup went over to Bella, plopping down in front of her and staring up at the purple adult.
"Hi!"
Lunaris growled slightly as Cypher moved closer. The little Tala was finally getting a decent conversation with someone, and this stupid pup just had to move in....

Bella looked down that the eager pup, no, make that OVEReager. She cocked an eyebrow and wondered what he wanted. "Yes?"
Ama flopped onto a patch of grass and relaxed, watching the three. "BELLA! He has an imaginary suspender friend named BOB!"

Cypher cringed at the outburst from Ama. Really...imaginary suspender friends...what was she on?!
"Do you have any other friends?"
Cypher's tail wagged a bit, the pup trying to look friendly while obtaining the information Smith wanted.
Lunaris sat silent for the moment, watching Cypher's every move with a glare.

"Furhead's not a bad lil guy!" Ama grinned happily.

That is the scariest thing I've ever seen... and I live with Amaranta. The female thought to herself. She wondered what his deal was. "Uh... no." She figured no would be a safe answer regardless of his intentions.

"Why? You making a Christmas card list?" Yep the pup was up to something; Bella just couldn't figure out what. She stood and stretched, turning her attention back to the mini for a moment. At least the little one wasn't a weasel.

Ears flattened back, in an attempt to keep up the cute and innocent look.
"I just want to meet more Tala...that's all..."
Lunaris rolled his eyes.
"Riiiight....meet more people... I bet stupid Smith just wants to know more about them, right?"
Cute and innocent went to incredibly nervous in just a few seconds.
"Erm...no?"
Lunaris snorted.
"Uh huh..."

Bella laughed heartily. Amused she patted Cypher on the head. "Just let Smith know that no one will come around here looking for trouble with me or my sister. That's all he needs to know."
Ama looked confused... again. "So Smith is your friend? Agent Bob Smith of the Benevolent Suspenders!" She grins. Smith seemed more friendly in her recollections now that he had been 'found out', as it were.

Smith having heard this whole conversation, had had enough of Ama's blatent stupidity and decided to call on Bella himself. He would get what he wanted and he would have it in an exact way. He would not fall victim to the classic 'This is all you need to know' crap, that was his schtick, and he wasn't buying it.
"Cypher! Bring Bella in here this instant!"

Cypher snarled at the head patting. Only one around here that treated him like an underling would be Smith, anyone else was subject to having their paws gnawed right off.
"...You two should come inside and rest. Besides, you haven't even seen the inside of your new 'home'."
Turning, the pup headed off into the cave. The others would just have to follow when they were ready.
