"At least you're honest about it not being a sure thing," Dr. Villa said, a smile forming on his face. Shortly after that, the guard returned with the shackles, and an extra guard.
The first guard said to Gossamer, "Step away from the door."

Gossamer sighed slightly, then backed away from the door for the guards. She was a little interested to see what they were going to do about the straight jacket. If she got to keep it, or if she'd get the feeling back to her arms today.
====================================
Anna looked at the man, then let a small smile curl around her face. "I stand corrected then. I don't even understand the sentence. Sounds like old slang to me."

Arell smiled back. "Kinda funny what gets used as slang sometimes, ain't it, che'?" he asked, rather casual despite the whole "locked up in Arkham" thing. He kept an eye on the still "dozing-off" C.J., then back to Anna. It was clear that Arell (right now anyways) saw himself as a brother/father figure in the guy's life right now. Despite the both not quite all there in the sanity department, Arell actually looked pretty sane.
((OOC: I did a little research. "It's Crackers to Slip a Rozzer on the Dropsy in Snide" is more than just some oddball lyrics. It's old British slang for "It's crazy to bribe a cop with Fake Money."))

What the guards did was a kind of combination of the two thoughts Gossamer had: they undid the sleeves of the straight jacket, but put the shackles on her without taking it off. Applying the ankle cuffs, one guard took the lead while the other said, "Follow him."

"Oh, I don't pay much attention to slang. Or many of the modern trends that are far to temporary for that matter." Anne said with a small smile.
===========================
Gossamer groaned a bit as she moved her arms around. At least that felt a little better. Her arms had started to stiffen. Which... given what usually happened when her muscles stiffened... it was probably a good thing they let her loose. She'd hate for rigor mortis to set in again now that she was too drugged to keep her body in top shape the whole time.
She gave a quick glance back at the guard, then turned and moved to follow the first guard down the hall. Stumbling a bit as she got used to walking with limited stride.

"Gotta 'gree wit' ya there. Kinda left dat stuff back in high school." Arell replied . . . which would explain Arell getting C.J. to cut class to play in honky-tonks with him in bands.
"HA! THAT didn't take much!!"

Dr. Villa fell in behind the guards, knowing that they knew where to go. Soon, they were out of the solitary wing.

Doctor Gray followed closely behind Doctor Villa and the guards. Gossamer followed after the first guard, walking a bit steadier now that she'd gotten used to walking with the cuffs. She glanced around as they walked, rubbing and moving her arms the entire way to get some feeling back into them.
=======================================
Anna grinned slightly. "Highschool... I can't even remember what that was like." she said, glancing up at the ceiling.

Arell raised an eyebrow. She didn't look that much older than him or C.J. . . . maybe she partied her way through college? It was lucky that his pal Aiden or some of the guys in the Hell's Angels could barely remember their own names, much less high school.
"Fer some, dat ain't a bad thang." Arell drawled. Sure, he was on the football team and the whole "Streaking at halftime" incident, he was more the picked-ON than the picker.

It didn't take very long for the little group to reach the room, coincidentally the same one that Dr. Gray had initially taken the Joker to. As they all entered, the guards uncuffed Janet, leaving her sleeves unstrapped, and stepped outside of the door; they knew Dr. Villa's directions well enough to not have to wait for him to say them.
"Please take a seat, Gossamer," Dr. Villa said gently, motioning to one of the chairs by the table.

Gossamer stood next to the table and looked down at one of the open seats. She glanced back at Doctor Villa, then over at Doctor Gray as she moved next to him. She sighed a little to herself, then moved towards one of the seats. It took her a moment to get turned around to sit down, still fussing with the cuffs around her ankles. When she did finally manage to get settled in, she tried to make herself comfortable and quietly waited for what the doctors had to say.
Doctor Gray stood next to Hector, pulling out Gossamer's files and placing them at the top of her stack of papers. She was a little interested... the woman's behavior was considerably calmer than it had been earlier in the day. Had they tried this before Joker had taken notice of Gossamer, she doubted the woman would have been this calm or uneasy.

”It was years ago.” Anna said with a small smile. She wasn't going to say just HOW many years it had been. She wasn't sure about it herself. How bad was it that she forgot the year that she had come from? The year that she had gained her new powers. The year that all of those heroes were killed. The year that her friend had come up with her powers to go back in time to try and change things and went... too far back. Much too far. No technology in the feudal era to help them get back to the right time. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
”Ah, true.” Vice sighed. ”Suppose if you're out, the can have fun dealing with you rather than with me.” With that, he moved to the side where the controle panel for the machine was at. He looked to the large button Rogue had motioned to earlier, and pressed it down with his thumb.

Dr. Villa took a chair on the opposite side of the table from Janet, and said, "Dr. Gray, please begin recording." He looked at Gossamer, trying to make mental notes of everything he's observed of her so far.

Doctor Gray nodded and pulled the voice recorder out of her pocket. She pressed the record button down, then sat it down on the edge of the table next to Doctor Villa.
Gossamer watched as she sat the recorder down on the table across from her. Her eyes lingered on it for a long moment, frowning, then turned and looked back over at the man.

Dr. Villa began rather formally, as was protocol. "Patient interview #316, subject's name is Janet Loveless, also known as Gossamer. I am joined by Doctor Gray, as I will be for the duration of this case."
Then, he visibly relaxed, showing a smile. "Gossamer," he said directly to her, "As you're probably already aware, you are currently suffering from retrograde amnesia. An apparently total loss of previous memory. We need to recover as much of your memory as possible before we can make a true and accurate judgment of any other issues you may have, if there indeed are any. Do you understand, Gossamer?"
