Artemis was pleasantly surprised! When the dance style was announced for the round, she hadn't expected many of the Pae to know what to do. It seemed that even if they hadn't been familiar with the style, most of them managed to at least follow their partner well enough if they did.

Artemis was starting to feel sorry for the poor Fae stuck with grumpy old Eros. It was his fault he was in this mess, afterall. But, that poor Fae. Her sharp ears had picked up Diona's plea to the love god, and even if he deigned not to listen, the Goddess of the Hunt did. If nothing else, she could try to help keep them in this contest long enough for the Fae to have some fun. She held up an 8 for Eros and Diona, saying, "Excellent work. Diona dear, give us a smile, yes? Even if our frumpy friend here isn't going to, I'd like to at least see a pleasant look on your lovely face," she finished with a conspiratory grin.

Old fashioned, yes, but still entertaining. Artemis applauded the next couple's efforts, before holding up a scorecard with an 8 for Anteros and Yukiko. They'd put on a lovely show, thus far, and without any of the chaos and craziness most of the other couples had displayed at either one point or another. "Beautiful! Feels like I've gone back in time," she said wistfully. "But, that's another day. For now, I've got lovely dancers to watch. I'll see you both in the next round, with luck!"

And with typical Himeros flair, the God of Lust took a normal swing dance and made it his own. Oh my... Artemis raised an eyebrow once or twice, questioning whether the swing was supposed to be quite so sensual, or if that was just Himeros at work. Probably the latter. She held up an 8 for Himeros and Lemon Hearts, privately wondering that the girl was still on her feet at all, with all the moves Himeros kept laying on her. "Possibly the most sensual swing dance I've ever seen," she admitted, looking bemused. "Still, your technique is solid, as was your performance. Good job."

So impressed, Artemis stood at the end of the next pair's performance, applauding. "Wonderful! You two really got into the spirit of the dance! Ah, you make me reminisce about past days," she trailed off wistfully, holding up a 10 card for Pothos and Prisma.

Well, Artemis supposed that they'd done well enough, especially given Dylo's generally lifeless behavior. She felt sorry for the poor girl who was stuck with him, but she'd let another round go by without trying anything herself. She sighed, holding up a 9 for Dylo and Iris Topaz, though she was mostly scoring the young lady. "Honey, if you gotta' keep dragging him around the floor, you do it. I dunno what's wrong with that boy, but you're putting on your own show," she smiled.

Okay, MOST of the dancers put on a good show. "Hymn! What was that? You're supposed to have this! Haven't you had any classic weddings lately? Ugh, I'm sorry, but I wasn't impressed," she commented with a frown, holding up a 3 for Hymnaios and Trixie.

Himeros and Lemon Hearts look to have regained their top spot on the leaderboard. Eros, try harder please darling.

Really, Mother? Could you be any more obvious? Himeros shot Psyche a look of sympathy, then shook his head discretely. 'She's just trying to get to you. Don't let her.' She was his Mother, yes, and he loved her, but that didn't mean he was blind to her faults and petty jealousy.
Pushing the issue aside, as well as ignoring his brother, Eros' antics with his own dancing partner, Himeros quite happily turned to his own. The lovely Lem', in her gorgeous dress, and so light on her hooves. He couldn't help being more and more drawn to her as they danced together.
The 'prize' for this game was supposed to be a date with your partner. Many of his siblings may have had to be forced into such a thing, but not Himeros. What was stopping him from spending a little time with her after the dance anyway? Nothing.

Taking Lemon Hearts' hand, he bowed and kissed her fingers. "My dear, we're up again." He stood and took her in his arms with a grin. "Now, for the Argentine Tango, it's typically done as if the dancers are embracing. Like the basic tango, it's a dance of passion and emotion, but the form is different. Like this," he explained in a gentle tone, pulling her close to his chest, and leaning down to lightly touch his forehead to hers, wary of her horn. Deep blue eyes shining with promises of something primal, passionate, he murmured, "...like so."
Though he definitely approved of the dance choice for this round, for some reason, dancing was no longer the primary thought in his mind.

Kleta raised her eyebrows at Pelagious, if he had wanted to 'shock their arses off,' Kleta was fairly certain that had already been accomplished. The green goddess hadn't even looked at Venus or the other judges to see how they had reacted to the display, it was just all so horrible. When Pelagious grabbed her and pulled her close, Kleta became incredibly uncomfortable, staring blankly at the pae. She coughed and removed herself from his grasp and put some space between them. "Yes, well..." Kleta paused and listened for a moment, "it seems they have moved onto a different dance... if only they had been able to "redeem" themselves for the swing dance, Kleta really didn't want to go back out their and dance the tango with him, especially after their most recent dance. "I do know this dance..." Ugh, whatever she would just need to get it over with and then they could be done and she could go on. "Alright..." Kleta placed his hands where they needed to be and then gave him a quick tutorial before they would go out to the dance floor again, and for hopefully the last time. Kleta wondered what kind of ruckus would come out of them returning to the dance floor several times after getting eliminated.
