"I'll let you down if you're a good ghoul," he promised as he patted at her thigh.

She considered the offer for a moment, but she had to be truthful with the boil. After all, Kettil deserved nothing more than the truth. So she prepared her best pouty voice, and told him.
"But I'm never a good ghoul."

Kettil affectionately rested his head against her side, "You're my good ghoul, for many different reasons," he corrected her happily. Then he gently set her down on her feet so he could kneel down and offer her his back.

..Now THAT was more like it. The moment she was on her feet, and his back was presented to her, she hopped up on it and clung to him so tightly it was more of a squeezing hug than a clutch. She just wanted to hold him so much it hurt her heart, deep down inside. So all she did was wrap her arms around his shoulders, and her legs around his middle, and squeeze him like a teddy bear.
"I loves yeh." She muffled against the back of his neck, as a tide of welled up emotion leaked from her voice.
Yes, picking her up made her feel this way.

Kettil smiled lightly as she hopped on with no hesitation, his arms reached back to support her behind and once all was secure he stood up. He felt his heart swell happily at her words, Kettil knew he would never tire hearing her say these words.
"I love you, too." He said softly.
After soaking in the radiance of her adoration he walked forward taking pathways his feet knew well despite his earlier disorientation. She would soon notice the forest thickening around them as well as the trickle of water from a nearby stream.

This was the perfect position for her to enjoy the view. She craned her head back just to see how tall the trees grew. She tried to imagine Kettil here, as a little boil. "Did yeh likes teh climbs trees a lot?" Freya murmured as she caught sight of a nest high up in a tree. "We climbed trees when the local boils dared us, but papa never liked when we came home with skinned knees. Said our skin had to be pure and soft, like snow. Hah, mama laughed! She says, when papa married her, her skin was tough like a real woman's should be!"

"Oh you couldn't keep me out of them when I was a boil. I still climb trees to this day. It is fun and I like the height," Kettil said with a grin. "Ma used to tell me that I live in a tree and that I don't need to climb the damned things."
Kettil continued to walk on with a small smile as Freya talked about her parents, "Ahh, he just loves his daughters and wants to protect them, is all."

All she could do was roll her eyes. "He wasn't tryings teh protects us. He's tryings teh makes sure we're perfect for-" She stopped herself, hesitating to say the 'm' word after the discussion they'd had earlier. So instead, she just awkwardly finished the sentence with; "aaah.. the future. Yeh knows. So we're. Still pretty. When we're old."
Nice save.
Not.
"He does loves us. Don't gets me wrong. Just.. if he was so worried about us, I thinks he would have had different priorities when it came teh our other habits. I mean he loved teh gets us out on the battle fields."

Unseen by Freya his eyebrow twitched upward as he just kept walking seeming to take in essences of her home life. After a little while the terrain became a bit rocky and uneven and the rush of a waterfall became more prominent in the distance. The stream also transformed, very gradual, into a much wider body of water - a river.
Quietly he let out a hum, "I see. Your father sounds like an interesting individual with many conflicting ideas," he laughed a bit. The idea of not wanting daughters to scrape knees but take them to battlefields seemed a bit off, but he wasn't judging.
Soon they were within view of the waterfall that Kettil wanted to show off.

Freya bounced with laughter. "Nah, not really! Yeh've never seen us in full armor, hah? Papa has us all fitted, we knows how teh fights with full suits on. But we likes teh fights bare, when he's not looking. That is when we gets all our good scrapes and bruises, ja!"
She reached in and playpunched him on the stomach.
Her laughter quieted when the sound of water started infiltrating her senses, and she went still when the sight of the waterfall started to come into view. A soft breath left her, and her head lifted to crane up for a proper view. She was quiet as a mouse, just staring in awe, until finally, when she caught the perfect view of it, her voice came out in a hushed and awed whisper.
"Wow."

Kettil shook his head, "I wouldn't mind seein' you in armor though! Bet it's real awesome," he said almost dreamily. He didn't say beautiful or pretty. Instead he used the word awesome. The Muut let out a small grunt as she hit his stomach and chuckled.
He stilled his walking once they got to a certain point so that she could fully appreciate one of his favorite places to hang out and climb around on. "Welcome to my playground~, isn't it nice?" he said cheerfully.

"I has pictures! I shows yeh, when we gets back, okays?" She had a whole book filled with pictures from home, many of them including all of her sisters. Even more were her and Hel, and a few were other, old friends from home. But there was a section devoted to sparring photos, and she couldn't believe she'd never shown Kettil before this moment.
Her head rested on his shoulder, and her face took on a lazy, contented look. "It's beautiful, Hooter. I told yeh, yehr home, it's like a wonderland." Her head pressed to the side of his, and she sighed longingly. "I would have loved growing up here."

"Okay! I look forward to it," he grinned happily. He rested his head against hers for a long moment with a small smile, "Yeah. I love it here lots but I like travelin' around, too," he said thoughtfully and let out a small hum.
Here it was warmer, the weather more mild. It was almost easy to forget that it was snowing back at Amity.
Kettil gazed over at the water a bit curiously, "...Would ya want to play about in the water?"

Freya had to look down at it, her tone hesitant when she finally spoke. "Well, that depends. How deeps is it? And is it cold..?" She loved the water, it called to her, begging to play - but the depth of the pool that the waterfall fell into would certainly indicate whether she could actually dive in, or just.. play on the edge sadly.

A small thoughtful sound exited him again, "Well the water is bound to be a bit cooler now seein' as it is gettin' toward the evening." He said softly. For now he was basking in the warmth of her being upon him and so it was easy to forget how cold one might be upon touching water.
"As for the depth of it, it's a lot deeper near the waterfall but toward like the shores and stuff it is pretty shallow." Kettil smiled a little, "If ya trust me enough you could just hang onto my neck and I can just swim us about all over the place."
