"Easy, boy, easy," the woman crooned, calming him down when the Teddiursa appeared. It was cute, but she knew that it would evolve eventually, and it just wasn't the pokemon for a pirate. Surely one of the trainers would catch it, or shoo it off back into the wilderness. Once she got him calm, she glanced back around the group. She noticed a woman on an arcanine, one who wasn't already talking to anyone. She didn't like interrupting conversations, so this might just work out. She led the Duduo over to where the woman was, keeping an eye on the Teddiursa. He seemed to be fairly calm at the moment, but you never knew. " Ahoy, there!" she said, grinning at Cadence. " You've got a very lovely Arcanine." It was a very nice one, even if he wasn't as unusual as some of the pokemon running around the group. It'd be pretty usefully too, if it suddenly got cold, or if they couldn't get a fire to light.

" " Marlo corrected as he folded his arms and caused a rippling down his pudgy sides. "" The Raichu granted himself the honor of a cheeky grin as if, indeed, being passed a healthy weight was certainly something brag worthy. " Osmond shut his eyes and let out a bedraggled sigh. "Yea, the politics in even the police force is something troublesome," he spoke. "I don't really like stirring the waters when it comes to it, unless its with crimes syndicates. For some reason or another, there's been a lot of those crazies hopping around the region, disrupting the peace in the city and wrecking havoc upon those trainers in the wilds. Pain in the rump, I'm telling you." The officer did not add the reason why he was so invested in the many evil groups overrunning Zatao. Main matter was, that lover of his was on Team Galactic. Not fun when affection was in the mix.

The skies were starting to grow dark. The mountains could be treacherous at night, with kids accompanying the group. There was no set leader, and no one had counted how many companions they had. The group was so large that someone could slip off the side and no one would even notice one of them was missing.
Everyone was evidently tired. Chatters had died down quite a bit. Some were complaining about breaks every 10 minutes. Your stomach growled. This was just the first day.
RP Prompt 5 (( Work as a group to decide what to do now that night is coming. ))

Jack pulled out her jerky as the group was sloing, looking around before speaking to anyone close.
"Oi. We should stop for camp." She grumbled, firmly. "Sleep, sit, eat. If we do soup, maybe stretch food a bit." Jack slid off the exhausted Doduo, the bird yawning as it slowed itself, unused to freedom.
"'Sides, Pokemon need the rest."

Jackariah's arm drooped down as she slumped over, her stomach growling. She looked over to Stein, almost on the ground as he floated next to her.
Jack sighed and said to the person closest to her. "Maybe we should find a cave to camp in." Before scooping Stein up and carrying him.

Marlo's mouth gaped as he yawned, coiling back to the gums revealing his stubby canines. He blinked back bleary eyes, rubbing one with the cleft of his paw and using the other to, once again, tug insistently at Osmond's pants leg. The officer paid attention this, considering night was falling, and knew very well his companion had a rather early bed time. Bending at the waist, he scooped his rotund friend up, and cradled him like a babe over his shoulder as he marched along with the many members of the mountain trip.
"Hey, its getting kind of late," he mentioned aloud to no one in particular. "I agree. Perhaps we should set up camp or something? I mean, we could keep going and everything, but isn't it kinda dangerous to be trekking across a mountain at night? Just my two pense, man." Osmond added with a half-shoulder shrug as Marlo snuggled his nose into the warmth of the canyon between the officer's jowl and neck.

"I agree, we should stop for the night, If anyone has wood or something we can start a fire to cook on." Keria called out to the group. "It's getting dark and even if we do have flash lights it a lot more dangerous to keep climbing. If we stop now and eat and rest early we should be able to get moving again once dawn comes." She had learned from the caravan that it was best not to try to keep moving during the night. She wished Shina was here, the gym leader had lead the caravan so she knew what she was doing better the Keria did. Plus people would be more likely to listen to a gym leader.

Shaun had hardly noticed the sky growing darker, but when some people started mentioning camp, he finally realized how late it was getting. "Oh, yes. Camping for the night would be good," he commented. "I could look for a good camping spot, I'm used to it. And Salvo can help me look for a long way around if he flies up a bit." He patted the Tropius's neck.
Salvo was certainly used to traveling all day, and could go on for a while yet. But he could do with a rest and a proper meal, especially if water could be found. Still, he was happy to help, and started looking around right then, as if he could spot a good campsite from amidst the group of travelers.

Juno would have liked to declare her intention to carry on without the rest of them, if they were such weaklings. But a little more diplomacy than she'd shown thus far would probably be preferable... for the mission's sake. "That sounds like a fine plan," she said loudly to the girl with the Shuppet, feigning enthusiasm. "I'm quite tired as well. Could that be a cave over there?" She gestured toward a particularly shadowy patch of rock wall that probably wasn't a cave.

Mortimer, fuming and enraged, followed the group at a slow pace. The nerve that Doyle had! Getting his sweet and innocent grand daughter pregnant. But, the most unnerving part about what he said, was the fact that he left her . When she was in a time of need. How dare he. And his cold and hungry state only added more fuel to the fire.
Screeching in rage, he raced towards Doyle as fast as his weak legs could go, wrinkled fists outstretched and raised. He'd show him. He'd avenge Barbie's state. He'd teach him a lesson!
Herbert, thinking it was only a game, barked and leaped towards Doyle, getting to him first.

Camping was probably a good idea, though if they did find a cave, she wasn't going to be in it. Where you found one pokemon, she was fairly certain you would find more, and some of their evolved forms as well. No way she was going to share a cave with an Ursaring.
"Stoppin' is probably a good idea," she said, adding her voice into the fray. "There's no way t' know what sort o' terrain we're goin' t' run into, and I don't know about you lot, but I don't really want t' find out in t' dark."

Looking around the darkening landscape, Shaun added, "Does anyone have a Hoothoot or another pokemon with good night sight? They'd make it easier to find a good camping spot. Even if I look from the air, dips in the land and the craggy mountainside will cast long shadows that can make it hard to see clearly."
While he was at it, he pulled out a larger camera than the small digital one he'd been using all day. He didn't have anything with true night vision settings, but this one had an infrared lens and other tricks that would make things in dim light clearer. Looking through its vewfinder would making searcing a bit more limited, but it might let him see things he'd miss otherwise.

Jackariah lifted an eyebrow at Juno. "ooookay." She looked down at Stein, who gave a kind of shrug.
Then she saw the camera Shaun held. "Oh, can that thing see in the dark?"

"I ain't got anything but this Doduo and some Duskull that keeps tailing." Jack grunted. "But I can scout. 'm' used to rock climbing. Wouldn't be hard. Plus got this."
A flashlight was pulled out, and the 6 foot behemoth flicked it on idly like a toy.
