She got soda pop out for them. "Mel' they'll help hide your secret. Were's have trouble with puberty and that's when they start to be able to shift. I started my period very early so I took a while to get used to it. When others were now shifting and all in fourteen years. I could keep my human skin over my fur.", she said. "And the teens I know here are nice. As they can keep an eye on you.", she smiled.

Melanie thought about that. It sounded nice, being part of a group. People who knew what she really was, and would look out for her. It sounded perfect. She's never had friends like that. Though in schools before this, she really didn't try. She was naturally suspicious. Nobody did anything to her in the past; she's just been wary. Now after being kidnapped, she only wished she was more suspicious. But she did feel like she had to lighten up a bit now. So she could actually make friends. "It sounds nice. Am I gonna have to change name, or is this place far enough from my town?" she asked. She hoped she wouldn't have to, but as of late, hee hopes seemed to be in vain.

That worried Mel a bit, and she wasn't sure why. "Won't people in the school recognize me? I'm sure I've turned up in some sort of missing report." she said. She knew her mother was inattentive at times, but she'd notice if Melanie was missing for at least a day, and would be worried enough to file a report. She was worried about being caught, and that worry made her feel strange. Shouldn't her first instict still be to get home? She felt like she belonged here, where these two can help her. She didn't feel human anymore, and she could tell because of her senses. They've heightened, and it was a constant reminder to her.

Don't worry, just say you're cell phone battery ran out at a friend's house.", she scooped up her mac and cheese only to eat it. After putting tons of bacon bits on it. As her potato was broken, steaming and drenched in ranch dressing.

"How long has it been since I've been taken? James won't tell me. He doesn't tell me anything." she said, slight bits of anger in her voice. She didn't like James one bit. He seemed to be trying to be nicer and trying to embarrass her to get a reaction from her. And it worked. Mel hated to admit it, but his charm did affect her a lot.

Mel could tell the scolding was more sister like then angry, so she started eating. Three days? It felt like a lot longer. Although Mel had been sleeping or reading most of the time in the cage, she had been sure more than three days passed. Oh well. She kept eating, dreading Jame's return. She remembered the first day she was out, when he looked so shocked.

She grabbed a calender down. And put it on the table now. "Okay, four days. But I'll try to get you back home tomorrow.", she said. Clearly the calender was marked how many days Mel had been there. It was not six in the evening yet. She wondered what they could do as she ate.

Mel blinked. "Won't my mother and friends be able to tell the difference? And what if something that I can't control happens?" she asked. What she didn't say was she liked it here. Without James, of course. But she had gotten used to him, and that annoyance of knowing whatever food he makes for her will be in the form of a sandwhich.

Mel smiled softly. "Okay. But it might be hard. My mom just knows what to say to make me angry." she said. Sad and angry. Their relationship had been getting subtly worse. Distance did that. She tried eating more, but she was nervous. The food was great, and she regretted not being able to eat a lot.

"Well one thing groups of were's normally do is, anger provoking. They say things to provoke you to loose your cool. And it's like an anger management class really. I used to loose my cool with James a lot and almost end up shifting on him, even in public. Now I can just grab him by the hair and scold him.", she stated.

Mel frowned. "How long does it usually take? For someone to get their temper under control like you?" she asked. Mel didn't usually show her anger. She just got really quiet, and it was hard to see. But she did have bit of a temper, especially so towards certain people.
