It must have worked - the creature's form stopped moving, turning to let loose a low hiss in Mimsy's direction. She pushed Svensyl into its mouth.

Mimsy wondered if the labyrinth shifted in their absence. She couldn't prove the differences in the tunnels, but she was sure she wouldn't get this lost after all of her successful navigation.

Mimsy followed shortly thereafter, silently ensuring Kostya was still healthy. This was wearing on both of them.
She mentally noted to be more respectful when returning from lab visits.
If she even visited the lab in the next week or so. She might just sleep right through it.

She could make out something in the near distance, almost calling to her, beckoning her forward.
She had to make it. She had to do it this time.
With one final leap, she passed the traps, finding herself in the faint glow of what seemed like some sort of dormant lava pit.

Each artifact presented before her caught her attention, her gaze darting from one to the other. Could she take them all? How was she supposed to select them?
Her fingers ghosted over a scroll, which pushed them away, repelled like some sort of Mimsyphobic surface.
