((A few months I guess? Half way to near or at the end?))

((*does some math* Sooo....2 months along now...30 weeks = about 7 and a half months later...Okay. ^.^ ))

A few bubbles breached the surface of the pool as Kai sighed. He was so far along he wanted to stay in the water in case he gave birth early. Curled up at the bottom of the pool, he was of course a tad lonely. He couldn't exactly ask Natalia to skip all her classes to keep him company. Feeling a strong kick brought a smile to his face though. "You'll be out soon, so just try to be patient." he said with a smile as he wrapped his arms around his stomach, which now made up most of his human torso.

Kai's face lit up when he heard Natalia's muffled voice from above the surface. The merboy could be seen cradling his stomach as he swam up from the deepest corner of the pool to greet her. Putting his hands on the edge of the pool, he pushed himself up to give his love a kiss on the cheek before falling back into the water with a small splash. "Kinda lonely, as usual." he admitted while attempting a smile for her. "Of course I'd appreciate the company more if they could hold a conversation." he joked while looking down at his stomach and rubbing it gently. "Speaking of our kids, how are the twins?" he asked while reaching up to feel her belly, pausing to make sure she didn't mind before soaking her shirt with his wet hand.

"That's good." Kai smiled, pushing himself out of the pool and laying back on the ground beside her, though the lower part of his tail stayed in the water. "Any more word from your dad about the house?" he asked as he sat up as far as he could while still giving his belly some space. "We'll both be giving birth any day now and we can't exactly raise four kids at school."

"Geeze, a beachside house with a pool? I know I need water, but that just seems like overkill." Kai said with a small chuckle. "If that's the plan, you're going to have to tell him about me soon." he told her. "Neither of us are going to be in any shape to move in, and I won't be able to stay out of the water for long."

"You know we're going to need help moving in." Kai told her as he slipped his hand into hers. "Is there some reason you keep putting off telling him?" he asked calmly. "I'm a fish boy capable of getting pregnant; I'll understand if it's because of what I am or anything like that, so don't worry about me feeling insulted." he told her with a small smile.

"True, but we made a promise to take care of the kids and each other. How many guys can really say that?" Kai pointed out. "Maybe those are some pretty big words for still being in school, but that's how we both feel. Hell, we're already trying to plan out the rest of our lives after this point. I don't mean to brag, but I think your dad should be happy you're with a guy that loves you so much and keep the anger for the guy that ditched you to begin with." he said while placing his other hand on her belly. "Maybe I didn't help make them, but I still think of them as my kids too."
