A very familiar voice made Junko look up and blush even more. With embarrassment. "But..but I'm not up for bid!" Et tu, Seiji?!

...No.
No.
The end of the baku's tail visibly bristled at the look that the vampire shot her, and it only poofed up even further at the sickly sweet pleading tone that he had suddenly taken on. Tearing her gaze away, she folded her arms over her chest, looking quite resolute.
"I'm not bidding on you, Lou," She informed him flatly, before motioning towards Enzo, "Besides, this gentleman has already decided to bid on you. Maybe you'll become friends." And wouldn't that be a wonderful thing? ...Unless they were bad influences on one another, that was. Then that would be quite...terrible indeed.
It would have been hard for Xiu to resist the pitiful expression if Lou had received no bids by the end of this auction, but since he had gotten at least one--albeit a bid of a single seed--then she didn't feel nearly as bad.

The ghost grinned goofily up at the ghoul before making his way to the edge of the stage. "well that's good, cause I wouldn't want anyone else trying to take you home with them."

Despite Calder's warning to Christof, Amrita had been there the whole time. She had bid on Aymet in the first round but had been outbid quickly by an unknown ghoul and Shine. After she had stuck around to watch and see who else was up, which meant she was right there when Christof started to bid on the Heir of War. She didn't know what to think at first; of course he would bid on Eris. Eris was awesome, even with all that fire she seemed to enjoy throwing around. Yet there was something in her that didn't like it, that made her feel very...uncomfortable. She already felt this same discomfort over one other ghoul, she wasn't keen on making it two.
Her mind instantly wandered, making comparisons both real and imaginary before settling in to try and figure out the why. It had to be for science, she decided; the fact that she was stunning, smart, powerful, confident, everything Amrita wasn't...that was all just coincidence, right? Eris was all those things but she was also a Horseman, so there could be a lot learned in a day with her.
That still didn't make her feel better, but it at least made better sense to her. So Amrita decided it was just better to leave. First though, she picked some seeds out of her bag, stuffing them into a pocket, and then wandered over towards the boils and the stage, tapping Christof's monstrous shoulder.
"Here," she said quietly, taking one of his hands and pressing the bag of remaining seeds into it. The Vetala was smiling, trying desperately to convince the world, and herself, that she was completely fine. "Good luck~"
She then turned towards Calder, still smiling away. "Congrats to you, too!" Then, she made a gesture towards the exit. "I'm gonna see what else is around! See you later?"
After that she made a hasty exit.

Junko smiled and scratched at her cheek, shifting her weight awkwardly from one foot to the other. "Like I would anyway. I would hit them with this if they tried." She held up her heart scepter, looking as threatening as a pygmy minipet. "Are you really going to bid on someone, Seiji?" Junko glanced at the lineup beside her. She was curious who he'd pick if he picked anyone.

She had only stopped for a short moment, curious as to why there was a crowd of people wandering around and shouting out seed money to an announcer, with people standing on a table. Was it some kind of . . . bid off? It seemed odd, but intregued the horsewoman.
Hearing her name, she turned her glances down to the little noblewoman who seemed to be heeding her over, a soft smile showing the artisan as she went to stand next to her, hands lightly folded in her sleeves.
"Hello, Miss Lan, it seems pretty busy here does it not?" She asked her lightly, raising her eyebrows a little daintily before looking around again. "Is there something you wish of me?" She questioned the woman lightly, wondering why she was requested.
Lan's smile refused to leave. Yes, yes this was a most excellent plan. Two birds, one stone. As Lifen joined the noble, there was a good bit of whispering going on. The best laid plans were often those that others did not expect. So, looking to Ying, then to the two heirs on stage, Lan smiled.
She never desired to see the glare of Invictus directed at her but if all went well, he would have no reason to. "Go on Lifen. It's quite fun. Trust me. Plus if all goes well.."
If.

As the horsewoman waved at him, his face blushed, raising a hand to shyly wave back. Oh, to feel that flesh under a knife... would it be hard? Would it give?
Christof's expression went pale in patches at the sudden voice. He had been outbid! But... Amrita was standing there and... there was a look in her eyes- but it wasn't like that! He flailed as she suddenly gave him some of her seeds, his frown deepening.
Well... well.. that was her blessing to keep going, right? It wasn't like.. it wasn't like he was buying a GHOULFRIEND, that was what Amritas were for, right? But she was already hurrying off.
His hand outstretched to try to catch her, but she was too quick.
He had hoped she wouldn't find out but... he had to win her now on principal.
Indeed there had been a fair amount of whispering, which included a slightly incredulous look from the slightly taller horsewoman, mis-matched eyes looking down at the little noble as if she had grown a secondary head. Bidding on members of the clans or students?
What an odd sort of game this was.
Clearing her throat she watched as another student (it was a student, wasn't he? He seemed rather patchwork, and it intrigued the horsewoman a little,) bid on the horsewoman, before clearing her voice and softly placing a very large lump-some of seeds in a bag in front of her, peering up at the auctioneers.
"I hope this is good enough." She murmured quietly, obviously as quiet and meek as usual, for the little horseman, as she looked to Eris quietly. What Lan was truly expecting with a win was beyond the Artisan, but her little pleased smile made it all the while.
She was so soft, wasn't she.
Lifen IS BIDDING 140 SEEDS ON Eris! . . . Because she has a hard time saying no to Lan. They're sharing the pooled points.
A tall male entered the room, reaching up to brush his reddish-blonde hair from his eyes, clearing his vision. He wore a vest with a matching kilt, green and brown hues put together rather fashionably, though he seemed a little rugged.
Marosa wasn't interested in bidding, but he was interested in watching the people. He hung back, becoming a wallflower for the moment, intrigued with the interactions of the different people.
Content with this, he let his eyes wander from group to group, glancing over them for just the briefest of moments, curiosity splayed across his face with ease.

Alexander actually remembered at some point that he still needed to get signatures on his scavenger hunt list, and that one of the listed descriptions simply said 'War Clan."
Well....Eris was from the war clan?
Normally he would have felt nervous about what he was about to do next, especially considering all of the horsemen standing around, seeming to vie for the protector of wars attention. Alex had never actually spoken to the horsewoman, despite being an initiate. He never really spoke to many of the other horsemen at all, really, except for Sal. Oh and Soren, but that was so never a pleasant experience and one best avoided unless he wanted to be treated like an ignorant scareling.
But today, Alexander was feeling quite emboldened, likely from partaking in a little punch from the gym combined with the other spirits he and Mort had been sharing. He pulled the paper and a pen out of his pocket and shuffled his way up to the stage.
"Miss Eris? Might not be the best time but, mind if I get your autograph, please?" He offered her up the paper and pen, ignoring any looks he might have been getting by the others around him. He offered her a large grin, and might have even winked at her, except for the fact that only having one eye meant it would just look like blinking.
To everyone around, he probably just looked like a fanboil.

If there was someone who had been gravely absent for some time during the festivities, likely in the name of a clean change of clothing after some nice little accident with another bag of blood, Shehk seemed to play it off as though she had been there the entire time.
The pricolici seemed to be torn, folding her arms and idly tapping her lower lip. Demi. Or.....?
Demi or....
HmmmmMmmm. Did she want to claim her place as Alpha? Her tail swished from side to side once, twice, and then she suddenly raised her hand.
"Ten on the vampire."

"Mrrr . . ." It was tempting to leave as Alex said, but at the same time he didn't want to leave with his tail between his legs either. He had come to the auction in hopes of getting someone, and Jackdamn he was going to.
But first, he fiddled with the cinch of one of his belted satchel and took out a small pad, as well as the pen he had been using to get signatures for the hunt. Much like an author might carry such a thing for story ideas that came to mind, so too did Mort keep one in case an invention or improvement happened upon him. Flipping past several scratched ideas, the first as old as his his time spent at Amityville, Mort scrawled down a quick note and tore it out. "Hold up a sec," he muttered to his bro before separating.
And headed on stage.
He didn't particularly listen to the bid wars still going for Eris, nor the ones that existed outside the rules for the auction; getting control back was the Student Council's job, not his. Mort simply made his wavering, obviously drunken way towards the heir and handed her the folded slip of paper with a wordless look - one that was actually closer to sober than the zomboil had been all event long. He wanted to present himself a serious even if his judgment and behavior had an impairment.
And then he simply slipped away as Alex went to the heir as well for a signature, back to his place with a small sigh as he turned to the other auctionees and pondered. There was a boil complaining loudly about his cost, which was about as good as any he figured, but . . . Ah! Shehk was there. "Looks like o-others made it," he muttered to himself as he made a bid and wandered over.
"You look well."

Thackery's fur stood on end. Not just one competitor -- but two?! Panicked, he counted his seeds and re-counted and...re-counted, wishing he was better at math.
