Nodding quietly, Shun felt rather comfortable as she placed his head onto her lap. Sleep sounded very good. It took some time, but he managed to drift off into a sort of slumber. He was mostly still for a good portion of it, but now and then, he tossed or turned a little while muttering things incoherently. His dreams had gotten a little twisted thanks to the fever.
After some time went by, the rain had subsided. The reaper remained asleep for a little longer before he finally stirred and came around. The fever died down a little, but it was still there.

Mitsu stayed where she was in the meantime watching Shun rest as he drifted off to sleep. She wasn't put off by his tossing and turning and only tried to sooth him back into a calm state so that he would relax again. When her reaper started to stir she watched him carefully, placing a hand to his forehead. His fever had come down but it was still there. It was troubling because it could easily get worse again.
"How are you feeling?" She asked softly.

Lazily, he peered up at the lycan that was staring down at him. Reaching up, he touched the side of her cheek.
"You make a nice pillow..." he uttered while looking up at her, and not answering her right away. Shun nestled down a bit, and let his hand drop back down, "I feel.. comfortable.."
It still wasn't really answering her. He felt a little better. But it wasn't hard to see that he was a bit feverish. Maybe a little delirious. Shifting a bit, he looked towards the entrance of their little nook.
"Oh.. it stopped raining... s'my clothes dry yet?"

As Shun's hand touched her cheek she leaned her head into it, bringing up her hand to place against it to hold it in place. "T..thank you." He seemed rather out of it which was only proven further as he slurred his words.
Letting his hand fall away she watched him carefully, her expression only getting more worried as he looked around for his clothes. "You still need to rest." He was feverish and she was worried about him staying here. The rain had stopped but he was in no condition to keep hiking.
"No...I don't think they are." But he would probably do a little better being dressed. At least in something dry.
Pulling away Mitsu gently rested his head down on the bedroll and reached for his bag and started to rummage for dry clothing. There was nothing too out of the ordinary just....far more protection charms than she ever imagined possible to be in one place. He probably spent a fortune on them....
That aside, she finally dug a bit further and found a pair of clothes and pulled them free. Moving her way back toward her reaper she made an attempt to help him dress. "C-can you sit up s-so you can put some clothes on?"

Shun turned his head as Mitsu went rummaging through his bag until she pulled out some of his spare clothing.
"Uh huh," he murmured before groaning a bit as he forced himself to sit up. Rolling over a bit, he made his way towards her and sluggishly got himself dressed. A part of him wanted to lay around some more, but they needed to keep moving while the weather was nicer.
"Alright. M'all set," he murmured as he pulled his bag up onto his shoulders and started to walk on out the cave. He seemed to be walking relatively normally, though his movements were a little slower than what they usually were.
"Gotta keep movin' north," the Reaper breathed out.

After helping Shun get dressed Mitsu was in the process of figuring out how she was going to carry him and all their things when he suddenly took off toward the front of the cave. "W..wait." Grabbing up her bag she followed behind him and took hold of his arm to keep him from going any further.
"You aren't hiking any more today," Mitsu said sternly. They weren't going to stay here but she wasn't going to let him exert himself with a fever. "I want you to ride, do you think you can hang on?"

Turning around when Mitsu called to him, Shun tilted his head for the moment, leaning against her lightly as she stood by him.
"You don't need to carry me..." he said quietly, "I should be able to walk a bit on my own."
He nodded along with this. Granted, she could easily carry him along in her wolf form. But still. He didn't want to be a burden. The Reaper figured he could handle this on his own no problem.

"You don't need to be walking right now. Please." Mitsu set her bag aside as she crouched down on all fours and began her transformation. Bones snapped and cracked as they rearranged to fit her new form until finally there was a large white wolf in her place.
Shaking out to adjust to her new form she reached her head down to grab her bag between her teeth. With it secured she moved toward Shun and lowered herself so that he could climb on.

The Reaper stared as his lycan insisted on carrying him. She even went ahead and shifted forms for the matter. Heaving out a sigh, he relented and climbed onto her.. though he was a little clumsy in the process.
"I really can walk though.." he mumbled as he sort of laid against her back while grabbing onto her fur so he could hang on. At least she was nice and warm. And still very comfortable. He could probably take a nap like this, he figured.
"Your fur is soft..." he uttered randomly.

She was glad he wasn't going to fight her on the matter. He had climbed on and once he was settled Mitsu rose and started walking. His random mutterings had her really concerned but as long as he was hanging on she would hope that they could make it to a town instead. If she remembered correctly the map showed that Howling Crest wasn't too much further, she could only hope it was really there. It would be much closer than Raven's Nest but if it wasn't there then it would only prolong the time Shun was exposed to the elements and keeping him from the care he needed.
"T-thank you." She reached back her head but was barely able to nuzzle him before she turned forward again. "Just try to rest. I will get you somewhere that can help."

Shun just sort of buried his face into her back.
"Hmm.."
Mitsu seemed to be pretty worried about him, but he still felt that she was worrying too much over him right now. He was fine. Really. A little fever, but it wasn't anything serious. Even so, he stayed put on her backside, feeling pretty damn comfortable as he rode along.
At some point, he sort of drifted back to sleep there too. Hopefully no sudden movements would be made or he was probably going to fall off.

She had continued to walk, looking back now and then to make sure Shun was okay but it seemed he had drifted to sleep. Knowing that she was careful of the steps she took trying not to jar him too much as she walked. Even now she could feel the heat his body was giving off. She could only hope he didn't get worse before they found a safe place for the night. There probably wasn't a lot of daylight left.
An hour later into their journey and Mitsu felt the temperature go from cool to completely chilling. The temperature dropped so suddenly that it wasn't long after that it began to snow. She looked back again to check on Shun knowing it was going to be hard to keep him safe and warm in this environment but they were so close to where they needed to be. At least she hoped they were.

Shun stirred now and then, but aside from that, he was pretty much out cold. His body decided that it needed a great deal of rest, and as a result, he remained asleep somehow. He was in a deeper slumber than he normally would be in, seeing how he wasn't easily awaken by this or that as they traveled through the snow.
"My Mitsu.." he mumbled as he slept, "..Love.."
He kinda nuzzled into her back... then rolled over. Unfortunately, there wasn't really anything to roll over onto and he ended up rolling right onto the snowy ground with a thud.

She could hear Shun mumbling and tilted her head back just as he began to shift. Mitsu tried to move to compensate for his actions but there wasn't much she could do to prevent him from rolling off her back. Turning around quickly she moved close and nuzzled his face with her nose giving a soft whimper. When he didn't stir she looked up trying to gauge where they were. They couldn't be too far could they?
Nudging Shun again with her nose she pushed him over enough to snag some of his jacket in her teeth and lift him up that way. It probably wasn't the most comfortable way to be carried but hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with it for long.
Once she had him high enough off the ground she started to move at a faster pace, not quite able to run but unwilling to walk. She had to find shelter for Shun fast before he got any worse. It was just a matter of where.
The further she moved in her frantic pace the less and less likely it was she was going to find a safe place for them. The area was mostly flat and covered with snow with small hills peeking up here and there but nothing really able to offer them cover from the cold. White powder continued to fall from the sky quickly obscuring the tracks Mitsu had made. Backtracking was going to be difficult, not only with her bad sense of direction but it was going to be hard to even use her nose in these conditions.
After a long while she was starting to lose hope that there was going to be anything close by. Weren't there supposed to be mountains? It was a mistake to come here and now they were in danger. She had no idea if there was a pumpkin patch nearby and Shun was going to need some warmth or his situation was going to get critical. Setting him down she circled him once to find the best place to lay before she settled down and curled her body around him the best she could. She settled her tail over his legs to cover them from the elements and rested her head lightly against his chest. The thick fur around her neck would likely block a lot of the snow but it was hard to say what she was going to do. It would have been a longer trip but it looked like the better decision would have been taking him back to Raven's Nest and giving up on Howling Crest all together.
With a soft whimper she tilted her head back to lick at his face lightly, hoping he would be alright. It wasn't until she heard a strange noise that her head lifted entirely, turning this way and that trying to determine the origin of the sound. When she heard it again her ears turned completely forward and she looked down realizing the sound was coming from beneath her, it sounded like cracking. That realization came too late, however, and the ground gave way just as she had reached for Shun to try and run for it.
A frightened yelp left her which quickly turned into a scream as she transformed back into her student form and grasped for Shun desperately holding him close. The fall took them down below the snow and ice and when they finally hit something solid they still couldn't manage to stop. They banked off a hill of soft powder and began to slide down a treacherous slope narrowly avoiding sharp rocks in their path. The descent was a long one that sent the pair tumbling end of end until they finally smacked into a snowdrift bringing them to a stop.
Mitsu was the first to rise a sharp pain above her brow making her place her hand over the spot hoping to make the aching stop. She could feel something warm and wet beneath her palm but choose to ignore it as she reached for Shun. "Shun? Shun?"

For the most part, Shun had remained asleep the entire time. When Mitsu went to nestle up against him, he unconsciously shifted closer to her as she was a good source of warmth. It was unusual for him to sleep like this, but in a way, it was probably for the better lest he try walking off on his own while he was sick. His body temperature didn't rise any further at least too, though it wasn't dropping any either.
However, he did stir when there was a sudden and large drop. It really didn't last long at all as there were bumps along the way down. Thankfully, he didn't receive anything serious, but he didn't come away from that completely unscathed. Groaning, he sluggishly came around, feeling some pain around his body.
"Mitsu...?" he mumbled, not quite sounding completely conscious. He wasn't entirely awake.
Rolling onto his back, he was trying to figure out what had happened just now, but everything was going a little slowly in his head thanks to the fever.
"What.. happened.."
