*Shortstraw made a face, "Well my father was always ther for me. He cared more for me then he did his job and everything. he would give everything away just to be with my mom and I. He was alsome too, we used to always build things with erectersets, or just eat at picknicks and stuff. My mom was alittle stricked on somethings, but she was always looking out for my father and I. Like one time we went on a vaction and my dad and i were goingto climb down a cliff and my mom didnt' stop us... she just made us ware a helmet." He laughed, "alot of good that did. It was a small cliff, couldn't get beat up that bad if we fell anyways..." he gave a nod, "i don't talk about them much becuse, there is so much i didn't know about them. And i miss them, and it hurts sometimes when i think of it. But it's all good, i have you and keria, and veria, and donte, and i have more freinds now, i have a diffrent life now..." he smiled, "and i still have the good memorys of back then to keep me going too."

Asher looked away in thought. "And to think. None of us would be in these positions right now if Kiera hadn't bothered to kill the scarfman." Asher's eyes grew lazier. "Just shows that one thing really does lead to another." She grinned up to Shortstraw. "Your parents sounded like really nice people. Respectable, I'd think." And to think, not too long ago Asher wouldn't give a rats a** for any mortal but her contractors.
Kiera looked away to the window although was monitoring Amelie out of the corner of her eye. Amelie sighed. "Still not gonna tell me, huh?" She frowned. "You're boring. You've grown boring. You've always been boring. A mere pawn." Kiera started giggling. "A pawn? You must be mistaken, mother." Kiera finally looked to her mother with bright red eyes. "I can never be a pawn. Especially in your games. Your games have faded into the background. You've become insignificant to the larger scheme of things." Amelie felt a growl at the back of her throat, but noticed the glint in Kiera's eye. "Ah. So this is the Kiera I knew, after all. Count me no longer disappointed." Kiera shook her head and brought a hand to cover her eye. "I'm not looking to impress you, mother." "Then why have you done so much that impresses me?" Kiera stared at her mother for a second before tilting her head. "You're easily impressed?" Amelie shrugged. "You've done so much that is a lot like my own actions. How can I not be impressed, little dove?"

*Shortstraw nodded, "i'm sorta glad though that everything is how it is. I mean, i would have never found a girl like Keria, and a never would i have a best freind as a demon cat. never would I..." he held up his hands, "Have my own chance to make all my own choices and also make a brotherhood i can lead. To me... i miss my parents and all, but it was worth it. I think even they would be proud." He nodded happily.

Asher nodded. "Things are better, now. And I'll be here to make sure they always will be." She laughed a little. "And why wouldn't they be proud? You've set yourself up as adviser of the two high princesses, become the lover of one, befriended a powerful demon and has begun to create an organisation of your own to protect people from the malevolent. I think it's plenty to be proud about."
Kiera's grin grew fainter, however it was still there in a petty smirk as she looked towards the window once more. "I won't be compared to you. I'm really nothing like you." Amelie laughed. "Your actions prove otherwise. I'm the only person who understands what it is you're doing." Kiera's smile finally faded. "Not the only one." Amelie frowned. "Someone is catching onto you?" Kiera coughed and swiped a hand through her hair. "Rather not someone. More something." Amelie bit a bit of skin on her bottom lip. "The demon." "Rightfully doesn't trust me." Amelie's grin went from ear to ear. "Never thought you would slip up, of all people."

*Shortstraw nodded, "i know right. Your absolutly correct! And i'm proud too. Just for the record." He laughed, "Who else at my age can find the love of there life, who is also a princess. I mean thats just alsome." He became more serous however, "oh crap. I think i forgot somthing. But i can't remember what it is..." he looked to Asher, "i don't think i mentioned it... but it's there... whatever it is..."

Asher pulled a face at him. "What? Forgot what? What's there?" She was confused all of a sudden.
"I didn't slip up. I don't slip up." Amelie shrugged. "If you say so. But when I was posing as that little girl, you were quick to note down all my slip ups." Kiera glared at her mother. "Because they were stupid and foolish. I won't be subjected to protect your sorry a** like that again." Amelie bit her thumb. "I'm not expecting you to, dove. But you can't deny that they were slip ups. Denying doesn't let you see the truth, and shields you from the nastier things that you need to embrace to become strong." Kiera looked away. "Now you're sounding like me." Amelie coughed then laughed. "You mean you're sounding a lot like me. Remember who came first, little dove." Kiera tilted her head slightly, letting her eyes flicker. "As I said firstly. It wasn't a slip up. The demon is suspicious. Good. Let her be. When she comes to see that I have become a benevolent soul, she will be more trusting. More compassionate. Weaker." Amelie licked her lips in anticipation. "I like where this is going." Kiera quickly snapped back to Amelie, storming close to her. "You're not going to be involved in this. Not until I tell you to be." Amelie didn't let her confidence waver. "And I suppose you came here to tell me to be?"

*Shortstraw chukkled, "i have a feeling i forgot somthing is what i ment." He laughed, "i wonder whats taking keria so long. Maybe we sould call it a night and just pick her up and head home. It was a nice trip and all, but seems the main things i wanted to do today is done." He nodded, "come on." he replied leading the way.

Asher nodded. "All right. Something must be keeping her at the castle. Her presence is still there." Asher grimaced. "I just hope she didn't get herself in a state with her parents again. That'd be a pain in the a**." Although that would be terribly unlike her recently. She didn't really want to enclose that last part. She didn't want to ruin things as they were, and Kiera really did seem.. all right.
Kiera stayed there, staring at her mother, before she backed off. "We can talk more through thoughts." Amelie smirked. "You'd have to let me in your mind to do that." Kiera smiled faintly and shook her head. "I've made a different frequency. Just for you. Feel privileged." Amelie frowned again, before she crossed her arms. "How long until I'll get word from you?" Kiera shrugged and her eyes flickered again. "Who knows. When I'm done thinking through your involvement? Don't fool me though, you already know. I already know." Amelie opened her mouth to speak again, before Kiera put a hand to her mouth, and a finger to her own. Kiera looked to the bedroom door and waited before she relaxed and took her hand off Amelie's mouth. Kiera fluffed up her scarf a little. "You have spies against you?" Kiera took a lollipop out of her jacket and put it in her mouth. "Curious ones. Nothing more. Other kingdoms. little birds, quite literally, too." Amelie looked to the door. "Your little boyfriend is on his way, and the demon too. You best be away from me." Kiera eyed Amelie. "We'll talk again soon." Amelie nodded. "Of course, my little dove. I'm waiting in anticipation for you to spread your wings." Kiera's eyed thinned as she twisted the lollipop in her mouth. "I still don't like you."

*Shortstraw and Asher came into the castle to find yuji downstairs int he kitchen just sitting there. He looked to Yuji, "Hello sir." Yuji looked to shortstraw, "Hey i wouldn't go up there. Though i will worn you to keep an eye on keria. Shes talking with ameile, and that is a disaster on it's own. Since they been in there a while and thre was no battle sounds, i would suggest they are ploting somthing. You know nothing though okay, just keep an eye on her." He nodded, "other then thats hows things going?" Shorstraw smiled, "well its been great. expechally since yesterday. Things have been even better. But i wanted to ask your permission of somthing. While i'm here. It's about Donte. I was seeing if there was a way we could perhaps get together on tuesdays and thursday nights, i figured we could go bowling or maybe skate boarding, something fun. i figured he would like that." Yuji thought aobut it, "it's it's not dangious then he can go on my behalf. But convincing amile is another thing. I'll talk to her about it. Starting tommorow or next week?" Shortstraw nodded, "Tommorow i was hoping..." yuji nodded, "i'll talk with the wife tonight." Shorstraw smiled, "thanks."

Kiera walked down the stairs twisting her lollipop around her mouth as her eyes kept shifting from red to orange. When they finally change back orange, it caught Kiera off guard and she went tumbling down the rest of the stairs. "Owch. s**t." At the bottom, she rubbed the back of her head and her back. Asher rushed to see her sitting in an awkward position at the base of the stairs. "You fell down the stairs? Seriously?" Asher was skeptical. Kiera stared at the floor before she slowly stood up and sighed. "Yes, it happens to people like me too. Thanks for showing so much concern for my health." Asher frowned. "I was just doubtful." Kiera shook her head and put one hand on her hurting back. "I must've bruised my spine." Asher tilted her head. "It'll heal soon enough." Kiera coughed. "Still doesn't stop it hurting for a while."

*Shortstraw smiled* "Hey keria." meanwhile yuji got up and pointed at his eyes before turning to head up the stars as shorstraw nodded in retrospect and walked over to keria, "Well I asked yuji for permision for donte to meet with me to go bowling and stuff, and i think everything else is done, so i'm ready to go home. Are you?" Suddenly shorstraw felt something funny run down his spine as he looked up as Veria walked out her room, she at first didn't pay anyattention to them, then suddenly as she came downstairs she noticed and gave a smile as she walked down it in her little form, "hey shorstraw. Keria. Kitty." Once she got to the bottom of the stairs she hugged shorstraw then let go quickly so keria didn't get mad, "So how are things?" Shorstraw smiled, "good." Veria nodded and looked to Keria, "hmh?" She replied as if asking keria the same thing for some reasion.

Kiera looked to Veira before turning away. "Things are fine." She looked to Shortstraw. "And yeah, I'm ready to go. I just want to sleep now." She yawned. "But I suppose dinner comes first." Asher gave some notice to Veira being there before she started to walk towards the door. "For some reason, I always feel unwelcome in this castle." Kiera chuckled at the thought and started to follow on after Asher. "And why might you think that?" Asher shrugged. "Just a feeling." Kiera pulled the lollipop out of her mouth. "When the hell did I get this?" Asher laughed. "I don't know, the lollipop fairy?" They reached the door. "I don't even like cherry flavour."

*Veria pulled Shortstraw aside and handed him somthing secritly, "This will take care of it for a while if things get out of control." she whispered. He looked to her confussed, "What are you talking about?" Veria smiled, "you remember when you saved us? That thing they talked about, that. There is a struggle in there and at one point things will... not go as needed. So use this on her if that time comes." Shortstraw shook his head now also in a whisper, "no... not you too." he looked at her, "theres nothing wrong with keria." Veria looked him in the eyes, "would i lie. have I let you done once yet since you said you trusted me." Shortstraw nodded slowly but handed it back, "but even if your right aobut whatever your talking about i'm not using anything like that. It's not how roll." Veria nodded, "vary well. I was just trying to help. i'll be here shorstraw when you need the shoulder to cry on." She smiled and walked into the kitchen to get some piosion out of the fridge as shorstraw rushed over to asher and keria like everything was okay. That was two people warning him aobut keria. Was he being decived again?

Kiera smiled to Shortstraw and took his hand as they walked through the door. "What do you want for dinner tonight? I'm not sure what I want, really. And Asher doesn't eat, so she's no help when it comes to deciding." Asher shrugged. "Not my fault I don't eat. As appealing as your food sounds, of course." Kiera puffed her cheeks out. "My cooking is good. And even if it isn't, I'm still learning. Hikari didn't teach me everything." She laughed. "And I don't trust anyone else to make dinner for us. Except maybe Cyril. He's already proved to make good food."
