Devon smiled she kissed him then kissed him. It made him chuckle. She was adorable something. Well, most of the time. It's odd that he should fall for her. She was nothing like he thought he'd go for. But she was also better. "Good." he said. "And yes. It's Your for as long as you want it. " he answer, returning her kiss with on of his own. "Shall we go?"

Lark kissed him back with a passion knowing she would always love this room it was a treasure it was like it was made for her and it was perfect and the wolf that was kissing her made it heaven it was strange she didn't think she would ever find love because she always felt that she didn't deserve it but Devon was so wonderful much more than she could ever ask for in more ways than one

Devon pulled away reluctantly and looked down at her strawberry brown eyes. He could get drunk on those lips of her. And he only wanted more, but that would have to wait. "Unless you want to be here all day, we better get going." he said in a gravelly voice. "My little Lark." he chuckled

"As tempting as that sounds I'm sure you could use the fresh air more than me wolf man and I'm not that little am I?" She asked she put on shoes and a jacket because it was in the middle of fall and things were cold outside even in the sunshine

Devon grinned. "See as I tower over you. Your are rather small." she teased her. "I wonder if you just as light." Though he knew the answer to that very well. Moving quickly he scooped her up and jogged down the stairs and to the front door.

Lark squealed in laughter as Devon scooped her up and held her close to him like she was his baby doll or something not that she minded in fact she liked it but she still struggled a little to make it more fun even though she knew he had a really unbreakable grip on her but as always he was so gentle with her like she'd break if held to tightly. "No I'm not small your just a really tall wolf man and I'm only light to you is because your as strong as super man if you were human I'd be heavy and you would complain. But hey don't you need a jacket or something it's cold out

"I don't think I could complain about you weight, whether I was human or not. I wonder how far I can throw you." he threatened jokingly. He shook his head. "Coat's in the car. As well as umbrella in case it rains." he replied rolling his eyes. Then he stopped. "That's right. You need a coat."

She answered to his first comment and then she froze at his next remark. "You do that and I'll chain you to a tree with a nice dog house to sleep in for a week." she met his threat with one of her own but she was still smiling the thought of him chain to a tree just sent her into a fit of giggles. "And I think my sweater is just fine I don't need a coat but won't you?"

"I'll be perfectly fine." he assured her, opening the door. "I'm weather repellent." he joked. He noticed she was comfortable enough for dog jokes. "Oooh." said a voice on the porch. "So it seems the little girl our Alpha took in is real after all" A woman was leaning against the pillar on his front porch. She was beautiful. Tall and shaped like a model with short blonde hair and green eyes. Devon set Lark down. "Robin. Something up?" he asked, raising a brow. "No, no. I thought I'd just stop by." She looked down on Lark. "Hello. So your the stray we picked up?"

She got out quietly looking down at her lap pressing her lips together she soon found herself holding in tears don't cry don't cry she told herself over and over. Was she really a stray to them? To Devon?

He turned around when he thought he heard sniffling. "Hey. Are you okay?" he asked over the seat.

He turned and reached back back to grasp her face in one quick movement. His hold wasn't strong, but he did feel the wetness on her cheek before he even saw the tears. With a sigh he moved until he was sitting with her. "What's wrong Lark?" he asked softly.

When She looked into his big golden eyes the tears she had been holding back came forth without her permission she was crying freely now but she could look at him anymore she looked down letting her tears fall that begin the only movement Devon's hand would allow. "is it true then am I really just a stray you and everyone else is that what you and the rest see when you look at me if it is true i'll just leave so I won't be a bother anymore." she sobbed out

Devon sighed and pulled her toward him until she was again his chest and he had his arms around her. "Lark. I am not a pitying man. We pick up strays, yes. And you were one of them at first. None of them stay that way for long, least of all you." he said. "I don't pity people. The people I put under my protection learn quickly that they have to stand on their own two feet." He ran a hand down through her soft hair. "You are not a stray. Not at all. You did wander into my life, but you are more than that. Perhaps to some of the others you are, who don't know you. To me you are..." He trailed off... unsure how to put it now. "More. If you weren't you would have woken up in your own home."
