Her lips parted slightly as if to speak, but then she closed them again. Thinking to herself. She could lie and tell him it would all go away, but it just wasn't in her to do such a thing. There was no point to it really. Although she knew he probably wouldn't believe her. Mei was one of those people who just couldn't placate others with lies, even if the lie might sate any pain for just a little while. But it was always a little while, then the pain would come back.

Giving his fingers another small squeeze Mei shook her head. "I won't lie to you like that Alex. It won't all go away, but you will learn to live with it to where it doesn't tear you apart every minute of everyday. Its not always easy when relationships end..." Like she really knew. Mei barely had any experience. What experience she had with relationships was limited at best. Deep down in her heart though, she even had her own doubts that whispered in the dark. It was hard to deal with sometimes. "But once the wounds scab over and you start living for yourself and those still in your life, who want to be in your life, it becomes easier and you don't think about it all the time."

A light sigh passed through her lips. That was most certainly the truth. They had all grown, changed. Though sometimes Mei questioned if the path she had chosen, one that alienated her from most of the school and possibly a little bit from her friends, was the right path. All she had ever wanted.....

But never mind that. "You are right, things do change. But we learn and grow and make better people of ourselves through our experiences." Reaching out a hand, Mei patted his cheek lightly. "I just wish there was more I could do. All I want is for you to stop frowning all the time. Your smile is nicer." She was glad though to see the little bit of Alex still there that was so protective of his friends. It was a welcome sight.

When he ruffled her head, she pursed her lips in a pout. Was it everyone's goal to mess up her hair? It made her feel like a little kid when people did it. Resisting the urge to kick him in the shins, she let go of his hand and stood up, straightening out her skirt. "Alright." Replacing her shades, she pulled them down her nose a bit so that she was able to stare down at him. Seriousness in those big brown eyes. "Just so you know Alex, I don't care if you are in my hair." It was an awkward way of saying it, but she did that often and hoped he at least got the point. Pushing her shades back up, she made her way over to the machines again.

Senga was dancing and he didn't know why anymore.

"Hey." The man in the golem had done this song and dance before. Go in, get minipets, only this time he was doing to for pay rather than training. "Dance off. Whatever. I just need those star things for minipets."

Blinking, Mei looked up at the very tall boil, pulling her shades down just a bit. Jack he was tall. Taller than Alex and most certainly taller than her father. "Alright. Best two out of three. Feel free to pick the first song."

This boil, she found was not quite all that friendly. Hmmm, she raised a curious eyebrow at him. Though she had never seen him around before, he gave her the chills.

As the song began she was silent but she still kept a smile on her lips. The ghoul didn't figure he was up for much chatter like anyone else she'd challenged. So no point in idle chit chat.

When the scores popped up, she had to keep herself from grinning to wide. She didn't know if he might take offense, but then he only really wanted the star for minis anyhow. So he probably wasn't trying as hard to beat her.

"Next round." She flicked through the songs before settling on one and hit start.

Score: 34

Again she danced. Concentrating more on the game than her challenger for the time being.

Scores went up and she frowned just slightly. Well, at least he wasn't going to make it too easy. "Last round. The tie breaker."

Score: 26

He surprised her when he spoke. Replenish his supplies? That was kind of odd wording. "Like...replenish your supplies of minis to snuggle?" That's what she did with hers. At least the ones that would let her snuggle them. Then she wondered why he needed to replenish his supplies of snuggle!minis. Did he just snuggle them too hard? Well, from the size of him she could most certainly see that happening quite often.

When the game ended, she grinned. It was a slight victory but still a victory none the less. Stepping down, she gave a small roll of her shoulders. "Ah well, guess my winning streak stays intact. Nice try though."

She reached behind the counter for a second before tossing a blue star pin in his direction. "Thanks for the game. Feel free to come back again anytime." Even though he was kind of weird she still welcomed anyone to her booth, chatterboxes or no.

This booth. THIS BOOTH. Well, she's been here before, but she didn't earn much prize. She's not really good at dancing... But still, everyone has a second chance... Right? Ingrid stepped up to the machine. She picked a song, sighed, and said, " Here goes nothin'. ", then she danced to the beat.

Well, that was pretty... Horrible. " Ugh. Maybe hippocerf's are just not good enough at dancing... ". Well actually that she said that just to make herself feel better. One of her cousins is a dancer, and she's a hippocerf!

Still, Ingrid moved away from the booth.
