Jean chuckled. "I wouldn't worry; the others here are pretty easy to get along with, though Bobby does like to pull pranks on people," she said with amusement. Akumi shrugged. "Could be worse," he muttered audibly. "I was thinking that since you two know each other, you could share a room," Jean said, her forefinger on her chin thoughtfully.(Better than me... when I was leaving my Algebra class in early high school [it was only mid October of my freshman year..] a kid shoved me from behind and put my head through a plate glass window... wahmbulance )

Twila looked at Akumi wondering what he thought of the idea. When never shared a room with a guy before. Only with girls and they drove her nuts. They liked girly things and the room always smelled like a fruit basket or flower garden. (( gonk that's not verry nice at all.... why on earth did they do that for?!?))

Jean glanced at Akumi, who chuckled. "I have nothing against it, though I don't advise asking me to paint your toenails," he said with a faint smile. He half turned, glancing at odd arching door at the end of the hall before he turned away.(No idea; never did find out who did it, though the glass did cut me... had it been a inch to the right, I would have probably lost my left eye.)

(( Well that person was mean... hope karma caught up with him.... and owch! Loseing an eye would deffinatly suck ... sad ))

Akumi nodded as he walked up the hall before he grunted as if punched. A swirling aura of energy engulfed him as he shifted to his feline form. His glowing teal irises shifted as his eyes narrowed. Something is wrong.... and it's close by, but what is it? he thought. Jean frowned slightly, sensing Akumi's thoughts. She too sensed someone in pain, but she couldn't quite tell who it was or where it was coming from.(There are two main bitches in the world. One's named 'Payback' and the other's named 'Karma'.)

Twila looked at them worried wondering what was wrong. "You alright...?" She asked. (( And oh how they love their job.... lol))

Akumi half turned. "I don't know... it feels like there's another of those odd gemstones that awakened... but I can feel it... and whoever found it either doesn't realize what they found, or its somehow reacting violently to their powers," he said, his slitted pupil landing on Twila. Jean felt the pain recede and inhaled sharply; she recognized who it was, but didn't recognize whatever was causing her pain. "Noriko," she said softly.

Twila frowned "That don't sound good..." she said worriying for whoever was being hurt.

Akumi shifted his weight. "Then we have to hurry before this 'Noriko' person is hurt any more, if it's another of those gemstones," he said simply. Hank came out of the door with a pair of sandals that looked completely made of black leather. "These may help... I've been tinkering with them, though I don't know how much friction they'll take," he said as he handed them to Akumi. Akumi quickly put them on before turning towards the door and the stairs to upstairs. "Only one way to find out, eh?" he said with a faint smile. Jean glanced at Twila. "Let's go... Noriko is a friend of mine and an electrokinetic, meaning she can control electricity," she said, ready to go.

Akumi cocked his head as Jean went up the stairs. Akumi shifted his weight. "I don't know if it's her powers, but I can't tell exactly where she is," he said in a low voice, referring to Noriko.

Akumi shifted his weight, his form blurring before a whump of air cracked in the air like a whip. He scooped up Twila behind the shoulders and knees as he passed her. Jean had already darted down the hall several feet ahead of Twila and reached the front door before waiting for the other two. She blinked, feeling a rush of air before he jaw dropped to see both of them in front of her.

Twila was slightly freeked out when she was running then next second being carryed. She closed her eyes abit scaired of being droped.

Akumi chuckled. "Oh, don't worry... I won't drop you... deliberately," he said with amusement. He let her legs drop to the floor as Jean opened the door, her eyes tight with something he was fairly sure was pain. She's empathic like me, but probably more strongly than me; I can feel the pain, but it's distant, the pulse of whatever that gemstone is overiding it, he thought.
