If you a true fan of Metallcia you should like all albums. It's hard being in a band. I have one and you just try ******** sounding awsome and singing and playing guitar. We are all lucky the even play. They are almost gonna retire so don't jinx it. And those steel drums suck,I agree. And yeah I think James maybe can't scream/sing like he did in 80's...but who the ******** cares he is awsome and they're the ones who inspired me to start a band. Don't forget their ages...we are all lucky.

coll i will go out and buy it when it comes out ill let you guys know if it is real good or not

Metallica are writing the songs so I kinda doubt that he will have any effect on the acctual songs, if you dont mean the sound sound, then I think he will just make the song justice sound wise wink
Cause you know rick's worked with alot more bands then just slayer and slipknot. So that would be like saying the songs might have a Brittney spears sound XD

i want the old style metallica the kick a** metal thet made them famous! not the new crap they've been making!

I'm afraid that prob will never happen. They make music that they like at the time they make it. In the 80's Kill 'Em All went for that young fast metal sound because they were young and those were the times. 80's metal made the 80's but 80's metal wont make 2007 if you can see my point. Metallicas music is changing as James, Lars, Kirk and now Robert change. 20 years on you cant expect james to sing the way he did, I cant say I like where this new Metallica is going but thats one opinion. Metallica are still great to even still be going. People often say this change was Metallica 'selling out' but since when is writing the sort of music you like selling out?

^^ I'm sure the new album is going to be good! xd But then again! I like every single of their albums! xd Mwhaha.. So I doubt that I won't like the new album!
