Shaitani watched the twins carefully, gauging the red one's reations. She's stupid to think that the two of them could survive in the wild on their own right now... he thought to himself. He said nothing, however, not wanting to start anything, and, really, not caring one way or another. Even though it's very noble of her to want to protect her sister, one should, and eventually will, end up living only for themself. The blue twin won't be able to do that if she is kept hidden from the world by her sister... He pondered this a moment before tearing another chunk of meat form the boar. Chewing quietly, ruminating slightly further, he trotted away from the carcass and settled himself down slightly near Akira and cleaned himself of the blood and dust.

The king of the pride sat near the water of the lake. The cool grasses of the oasis were all he needed right now to calm him. He starred deeply into the water, his mind lost in deep thought. This was a different side of Ling, the calculating side, the darker side.
'This red cub, Akira, Shaitani...they are all so strange to me. What do I do with a pride that cannot coexist?' He rested his head on his paws, the dark hair of his long mane falling in the lake water, making waves. 'Do I punish them? No, that would do no good' He tore at the ground with a claw. "the red one must be dealt with. Though, I do not even know if she will stay. Leanna seems to want them there, and they would be her problem, but..."
He fell silent again, his eyes closing as he searched for answers deep inside himself. Shaitani would be taken exploring when it was safe enough. Akira would get to know the others, Ling would assure that, but this new one...She would have to be shown her place, he would have to be King for her, not just Ling, the leader.

Akira watched the red cub for a while after her feirce conversation with Leanna, he sighed again to himself and shook his kitten head to forget their words, and noticed shaitani next to him "shes a feisty one isn't she.." he said motioning towards the red kitten and shaking his head "she should know better than to challenge lions twice her size..."he said quietly

Shaitani snorted at Akiras comment, "Fiesty and stupid," he replied simply and sharply, returning to cleaning himself.

Xiao wasn't sure what to do. She had opened her mouth several times to say that she could take care of herself, but instead of interupting she would just take a nibble of the meat that Leanna had provided so kindly.
She was shocked when Kun Yi turned to her for comfort. She then looked to the other lions and growled a soft, almost pitiful growl. The comments from the other kits stung her, and if it hurt her, it hurt her sister more. "Kun Yi can protect me. And herself. She's done it for weeks. You wouldn't understand..." She said harshly, trying to be as threatening as her sister, though she knew she was failing miserably.

Nola growled a little and stood up getting closer to the foolish little kits. How could she possibly get it through their thick skulls that they were on a track to shorten their lives? There was none. Instead of saying anything she turned aburptly and stauked off towards a darker corner of the cave lashing her tail as she went. Once there she sat down again and sighed. She knew the dangers out there. She had watched her sisters die when they got too far from their parents. And of course her father didn't stop them. He had said there were too many lionesses in the pride already. In truth she hadn't gotten lost at all but had been left to die at the border of the desert. she hadn't survived because she picked fights with everything. She survived because she hide and hunted small things until Ling had found her.

Leanna awoke slowly at the bickering cubs. She obviously could not leave them alone for a while. Getting up, she gave a warning snarl to all of them to be quiet. Stepping over to the twins, she laid down infront of them and gave them a gentle, but fierce, gaze. "What is with you two that you will not understand how dangerous it is in the wild? You two could not survive much longer if things got hectic. Xiao, I know you're trying to defend your sister's pride, but I think she needs it once in a while as a cub. She wouldn't be strong enought o defend you from rampaging wilderbeasts, or other hungry lions looking for a quick meal. What about famine and disease? Could she get inside you, and protect you from sickness as well? I think not. You need to understand, as well as your sister, that it is safe here. Until you two are old enough to leave, I will not argue, but for now, please." She sighed and gazed all around her at the others. "Let us not speak of this anymore until King Ling comes back and has decided what to do with them. Now.." She got up and shook herself. "Would anyone care for a game?" She gave one of her gentle smiles trying to get this foul mood to lighten up. "Any game really, I'm open for suggestions."

For the time being Nola had lost her desire to have fun. She drew further into the shadows of the cave and laid down to calm her mind. She knew that it was silly to let this bother her but she had hoped that maybe this new pride would let her have sisters and brothers again.

Xiao was thankful for Leanna's intrusion. She liked this lioness... she looked out for their well being... "I wanna play!" Xiao said stepping foreward timidly, "But... I don't know any games..." She added sadly.

Akira looked up at leanna happy that she was trying to break the tense mood in the cave. he stood up and trotted over to leanna and Xiao, "i want to play something too!" he said trying to help lighten the mood a bit also "but i'm not sure what to play, i only know tag" he said looking down at his paws

"Oh I know of one. My brother and I use to play it all the time. It's a guessing game. I act out something or someone that I want you to guess. The thing is, I can't tell you. You have to guess by my actions. If you don't get it right after 5 tries, We move on to another one. If you do get it right, it's your turn." She smiled over at Xiao. "Want to try it?" She wanted to get the kits mind off of these gloomy things. If only the others would play along...

"Don't worry. First round is practice round." She smiled and then got up. "Alright, let's start." She thought a moment, then suddenly went down on her stomach. Her limbs stuck to her body as she slowly cralwed on her belly. Her tongue flicked in and out ever so often and she gave a small hiss noise.

She jumped up on her paws and nodded. "Yup, you got it right, Akira. You get to go next." She looked over at the other kits to see if they got what she was doing.
