Dakota hissed as the rats kept swarming, even with Jordan's smash to the little vermin, they kept coming in larger waves.
So much that he got overwhelmed, losing Chama from the wave and watching her drift away.
"Jordan!"

The house trembled.It was noticeable, but not strong enough to cause anyone to loose their balance. The rat-monster squealed and squeaked as the two hunters beat upon it. Rats began to peel away from it enmasse -- it was attempting to flee!Attacking the boss at this time incurs no auto-attack.

When the house trembled, Cass looked up at the floor above them, before she turned to look back towards where she'd left Jordan and Dakota. "Wilson!" she half-shouted into the kitchen. "Let's regroup!" she instructed as she half-jogged towards -
Oh hell.
"If it found you guys, it didn't find her." and she didn't mean the scareling. However, as rats began to scatter, Cass swore, resummoning Nicodemus and bringing the blade swinging up in one sweeping motion, sending rats flying everywhere.

Dakota was more relieved when he saw Cass joining in the attack, especially now that the rat monster was not CHEWING OFF HIS THREADS and flesh and stuff.
"Where do you think your going?" He hissed as he rolled off the ground and swung his sword out, small spurts of FEAR flames dousing the unlucky rats close by.

"I'm trying, goddammit!" Jordan kicked several rats off his pant leg. The house trembled. "What the hell is going on?" Jordan hissed. He was running out of patience. They'd take care of the rats and find out what was up. Except that the mass of rats was now trying to get away, and wasn't that just a great sign? Cass showed up as he swung Ferros into the scrambling mass of rats again. "Cass," he shouted. "These things ate the one you caught, we've been keeping it busy." He kind of hoped the scareling had reformed back at wherever her home was, but he had the sense not to voice that thought. HP: 40/50 Dmg: 6 Charge: 2/3 Boss HP: 19/105

"It... what?" Cass tried to not look bothered by Jordan's news, but there was something disturbing about anything cannibalizing its own kind. Which meant they now didn't have the little girl to ask where the real girl (or girls) had possibly ******** swung on one heel and brought Nicodemus up in another swinging gesture through the rats. "I didn't find that little girl that was with us down here, and if this house is coming down I don't want to find out later she was still in here...."Cass's HP: 25 Damage Done: 9 Boss's HP: 10

"Let's get rid of this thing so we can finish this up." Jordan swung Ferros into the fleeing rats again; the weapon snarled in satisfaction as he obliterated the last few stragglers. I want to flame, Ferros hissed. Hold that thought, Jordan said, and tried not to fidget with the sensation of roiling heat Ferros was giving off. "Cass, did you find anything else? Where to next?" With a strangled shriek the final rat was turned into paste, sticking to Ferros before hissing and disappearing as it was crushed. The squeaking and skittering of tiny clawed feet faded. There was the sound of something very large shattering and breaking from the front of the house, followed by a loud THUD.

"There's a head in the oven, but besides that...." Cass was cut off by the disturbing noise the house was making, looking towards the front of the building with a concerned look before looking back to Jordan.
"I'm going to see what that was. Please make a quick sweep to make sure that girl we had with us earlier isn't still inside here." she instructed - or rather pleaded - as she made her way to see what was going on.

THUD!THUD!CRASH.The front door shattered, scattering wood splinters and fragments of glass as something forced its way through. Whatever it was it framed the doorway. The night sky was framed behind it as it stepped inside, followed by several more shapes. The shapes were shadowy, humanoid in appearance -- "There you are! Well, that explains why you weren't answering your phone. Oi! I need a reading!" Bree, the Mist Hunter who was with them at the briefing back on Deus Ex snapped her fingers. Another hunter dug around in their coat pocket until they held up a FEAR scanner. Even when shadowed it was easy enough to pick out their frown. "It's dry." "Damnit!" Bree turned and punched the wall, ignoring the loud WHAM! that accompanied the swift demolition of the wall. "All right. New plan. You." She pointed at Cass with her weapon. Bree's weapon happened to make her look like she was wearing some comically oversized spiked runic armor over her arms. "Call your team together, we're pulling out before the cops show up. Move!"

Cass did a barrel roll away from the door, having only half-pushed herself back to her feet when Bree, the mighty brawler apparently, stepped through the remains of the door.
"Was getting chewed on by a rat and - " dry? But there was a head in the oven.... she had to question that definition of 'dry', but she wouldn't push anything. Instead, she turned back and began a quick round through the house to find her companions, tapping each of them on the shoulder as she passed them, before nodding to the door.
"It's dry. Regroup at the front door."

Jordan hadn't gotten far before Bree made her arrival; he returned to the group, silently relieved that backup had arrived - even if backup didn't seem to be discovering anything. He nodded sharply to Cass and Bree and headed for the door.

Wilson turned around at Cass' shoulder tap. "Ah. Alrighty then." He half-nodded to the others as he arrived. Seeing Bree brought the hunter some relief--there was backup--as he headed for the dinner.

Dakota jumped at Cass's tap before looking around and then down at the mist hunter. His weapon was still handily held up and lowered when she mentioned dry.
Dry what. What was dry? Certainly not this place. This place probably leaked all over.
"Uh sure..." Once at the door, he laid eyes on a beautiful and welcoming sight to see.
A woman.
"Hey there gorgeous. Now that mission time is over, me and you should have a date..." Dakota was totally hitting on Bree.
