An audible gasp slipped from her lips as the pieces rose, detailed and intricate. As she glanced around it looked like what she imagined the inside of a glass pocket watch might look like, her brown eyes wide and filled with awe. The fact that he could create such intricate structures with such ease, so little concentration... admittedly the scientific part of her wanted to study him, but the rest of her was simply aghast with curiosity. "O-okay... You win, you win... I've been more amazed in these last few minutes than I have been this entire year if I have to be honest. You make me look... utterly untalented."
As he turned the request on to her, she looked up into his eyes, her own warm and excited. The turn of events that day had apparently pleased her to no end. "I couldn't... I mean... well... maybe there's one little thing," her eyes glinted mischievously and she drew her soft bottom lip between her teeth to try and hide the devious smile that came long with it, "Can you make it snow? Even just a little bit? I'd love to see the faces of anyone coming out here to a little gust of snow while they're in swim trunks and bikini's..."

"Hmm...an interesting request.." He started muttering to himself, working it over in his mind and as he did, the device that had been suspended in midair expanded apart so that the shards were floating all around him for a moment, before forming a flight of cracked looking stairs at his feet. As he walked upwards, every time he stepped off a stair it shattered and re-formed at the top of the stairs he had yet to reach, forming an endless staircase.
He kept on walking until he was up in the clouds, at which point he stopped and looked around for a bit before beginning his work. It was a beautiful view from up here, one he wished he could share with Sil but it would be entirely too much effort to bring her up here, hold the stairs and make it snow. He took in a deep breath, closed his eyes, and exhaled slowly. He could feel his body temperature dropping to extremes as the breath left his lungs, and he could also feel the moisture in the clouds dropping to below freezing. Having done all he was going to do he began to walk back down to the pool, which felt a lot longer now that he didn't have anything pressing to think about.
He stopped on the frozen patch he'd left Sil standing on and looked into her eyes once more. Not thinking it would work, he turned to her and started to apologize. "Well, I guess I-" And then a smirk crossed his lips as it began to spit tiny snowflakes. He gently laid a hand on each of her shoulders and pulled her close, still looking her in the eyes. Making it look like he was going to kiss her he moved in close until their noses were almost touching, and then simply exhaled a breath from his nose so the vapors wafted down the sides of her neck and across her collar bone.
"Not much, but I guess it's something. Right?" He chuckled.

Had the snow not worked, Sil was honestly entertained simply watching him climb to the sky left her blinking mystified standing on a block of ice on the pool. She crossed her arms and shifted nervously on the block she inhabited, wondering if it would just be moments until it melted and she plunged into the pool.
Descending back down to the Earth where his mortal companion waited, she looked into the sky expectantly. However, the sky was empty save for the clouds he had disappeared into and the slightest disappointment churned in her stomach. Guilt replaced disappointment swiftly, realizing that a request like that was as good as asking someone to move the stars themselves and she had already asked him for too much.
"It was a nice try--" she started to say, only to be interrupted by cool hands touching her warmed shoulders distracted her. His face so close to hers made her nervous and she panicked for a moment afraid he would get too close and she would have to take counter measures, but luckily as their noses almost brushed his face turned away from hers. She let out a quiet sigh of relief having no proper excuse to give him-- there was absolutely no obvious reason for her to be unreceptive to anything with her current faux unattached relationship status. His frozen breath elicited the slow rise of goosebumps along her entire body as the sky around them filled with snowflakes and she shivered ever-so-slightly.
"You... actually did it!" She gasped and then laughed, eyes directing upwards to the sky as snowflakes stuck to her hair, melting quickly in the sun soaked sea of mahogany. "It's like standing in the oddest snow globe imaginable..." She shifted the slightest of space between them to draw her hands slowly over the bumps rising on her arms and bared legs with the limited space provided from the remaining ice. "I admit defeat. I have been amazed, awed and aghast, and I believe I owe you at least a drink since you didn't specify the prize of winning this challenge," she smiled, feeling like a child that had just witnessed some of her wildest dreams come true. "Thank you for showing all of this to me. You really are something quite special and I didn't even know it before."

He chuckled at her remark
"Bah don't worry about any prize, we didn't specify terms or shake on anything, the experience of showing someone these things was enough for me. It's not every day that someone sits and watches me goof around like this, Y'know? Most of the time everyone is busy with this and that for the Order, no real time to just hang around and get some one on one time." He ran a hand through his hair, freeing it up before he shook some of the moisture from it.
"I've got a lot of time to myself to practice things like this, but no-one to sit down and really share it with. People tend to be scared of the things they don't understand, despite how awe inspiring they might actually be. It's a harsh truth to have to learn, but thankfully I've passed over that hump a quite a few years ago." He looked down at the ground for a moment before turning away and heading toward the bar to hide the mournful look on his face. He would trade anything to be able to be with someone like Sil, and it always pained him to see people take such simple things for granted. But, they had never lived without it for as long as he had so it was to be expected. "Would you like something to drink?"

"I'm pretty guilty of that busy bit," she admitted guiltily, rubbing the back of her neck with her hand as if she had been caught red handed. Between her Exorcist duties, training and wanting to still have a hand in the Science Division she hardly took enough time and she felt the acute sting of it when she realized how nice it was to spend time with some of her older acquaintances.
Quietly she watched his face as he explained, sighing softly through her nose. "Well you know, if you ever want to practice I'm always in need of sparring partners... and if you just want to show off some tricks I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing powers as unique as yours," her hand went to his shoulder, squeezing it gently as she smiled. "So come show off to me, alright? I'm really fascinated by this stuff... some might even say too fascinated," she thought of Lavi then; she couldn't help but wish he shared her interest but it was nothing she could force upon him. She was relieved that her curiosity in the unknown brought some relief to a friend who seemed to feel so alone in a world of people who were too afraid to try to understand.
"I'm going to have to take a rain check on that drink, though. I'm afraid jet lag has caught up with me and I need to go catch some proverbial z's," she grinned then, and before Domo had time to ice up her step, she stepped casually off of the ice island he had created and plunged into the pool water below. She broke the surface of the water with a spray, sputter and a playful laugh, "Thank you again, Domo!"
((I'm havin' her leave 'cause I might be gone for the next two days except tomorrow afternoon >.>;; ))

(( Sil (When you get back): What did they do?! D: ))
Kiah had gone out by the ocean by herself the night before when nearly everyone had cleared off of the beach, too embarrassed to try getting in the water with people watching. She couldn't help the tightness in her shoulders as she got closer, gasping when the cold water brushed her feet in a wave. After getting elbow deep she'd frozen, too petrified to go any further, and hightailed it back to her room on shaky legs.
Once she'd gotten a good night's sleep, Kiah was determined not to let the previous event get to her, meeting Kyle in the hallway to watch him surf. She was surprised that her friend was even up, as nearly everyone else in the resort was either still sleeping, or keeping to themselves in their rooms.
"Make sure to get someone if I don't come up within a few minutes~," he stated jokingly, ignoring her exasperated sigh. Getting on the beach quickly, Kyle waved back to Kiah while she set up a spot closer to the ocean than before, heading for the water with his surfboard in hand. If there was one thing he loved more than surfing, it was having an audience so he could show off.

((Hey Kiah ^_^ Sil: O_O))
Star walked silently across the beach with no real purpose aside from trying to distract herself, her overlong hair flowing freely in the breeze, and she allowed it, even as most of it was blown around her shoulders.
The beach was mostly empty at this time, and most of the others were too far away to see the large mark that took up most of her back, but just in case she kept a shirt in hand so she could easily pull it on if she felt it was in danger of being spotted.
She looked up at last, noticing Kiah and Kyle further up the beach, silently debating for a moment before approaching the older girl, pushing her hair back and pulling her shirt on as she did so, "Mind if I join you?" She asked when she got within range, shifting her weight slightly in the sand.

(( Welcome back, Star! How are you today? ))
Kiah startled a little at the sound of Star's voice, cursing her tendency to jump at the slightest noise. She succeeded in giving the faux impression that she was relaxed, even if her fingers twitched a little when the waves started rising further up on the shore. "Oh... no, go ahead," she stated in surprise, scooching over on her towel.
Seeing that Kiah had acquired a new companion on the beach, Kyle gave a cocky smile and put his toes on the nose of the surfboard, waving his arms to get their attention. He soon lost his balance and fell in, surfboard sent flying out into the water.
"Haha, idiot... So what brings you out here so early in the morning?"

((I'm good ^_^ You?))
"Agreed," Star said with a smirk, laughing quietly when the boy took his dive.
Star's brow furrowed at the question, and she just shrugged her shoulders before responding, "I just couldn't sleep, and this seemed like a good place to come to clear my head. You?"
((Sorry for the late reply, I was in the middle of something.))

(( That's fine. I doing pretty well! Just got done picking up a brown paper bag filled with books from my grandparents' house to donate to our campground. ))
"I suppose it could be...," Kiah commented, knowing she was biased in thinking there was nothing peaceful about being near the ocean. She could sympathize with the girl's inability to sleep- as she was in a... somewhat similar predicament when she failed to take her pills- and wondered if there was a reason for it. "I'm just here to watch the attention hog. He says he does better when he has 'faithful fans', but so far I'm not impressed."
