Clark nodded at the boy and looked away. Then, he cautiously put a shaky hand on his back rubbed it. Violent and bloody images flashed through his mind, thinking of the outcomes if he were to get angry. He quickly shook his head and stopped trembling.
"Alright, we can stay. But, I do have a couple more questions...Are you sure you still like me?" he asked, he felt as though tears were about to surface.

Sam smiled happily then purred as Clark rubbed his back, nuzzling agaisnt him affectionately he smiled before looking at him again. Sam looked into his eyes and gently kissed his cheek as he nodded his head.

A few tears escaped his eyes as he crashed his lips to Sam's lips. He then pulled the small boy into his lap as he hugged him tight and nuzzled in his hair, his eyes half-lidded.
"Thank you..." he whispered into his ear before nuzzling his hair again.

Sam blushed as he wrapped his arms around Clark and purred as he kissed him back. Sam looks up at him and purred louder as he nuzzled agaisnt Clark and his tail wrapped around him as well.

"Ah, so you're hungry, eh? No shame in that. I think I got some food back in dorm, be right back!" he said as took him off of his lap and ran to his dorm.
-LATER!!-
Clark walked back into the courtyard with a bag of puffy popcorn.
"Hey, Sam, I-" he stopped mid-sentence when he looked ahead and saw three menacing dudes from the brawl before slowly and quietly creeping up to the tree.
"Sam! Get in the tree!" he yelled at the boy in an attempt to save him.

Sam looked at him and nodded his head as his tummy growled again. He say there patiently with his tail in his lap as he waited for Clark, when he saw him again the boy smiled then tilted his head a little as he stopped talking mid-sentence. tilting his head a little again he heard the worry and urgency in Clark's voice as he stood up and started climbing up the tree.

Sam dropped the bag of puffy popcorn and started to run to the tree in an attempt to beat them away.
Meanwhile, as Sam started to climb up the tree, the lead attack went into a run and grabbed Sam's tail, yanking it very hard with a sneer.
'Don't think you can get away, little kitty. Boys, get the other one.' He jabbed a finger in the direction of the running Clark and the goons started after him.

Sam climbed up the tree, but his foot slipped, he regained his balance and climbed again before screaming in pain as the leader yanked hard on his tail. Sam started crying as he fell out of the tree and landed on the ground in front of the leader, the fall causing his tail to be pulled on more, which made him scream again and cry harder, not many people knew that a neko's tail was as or if not more sensitive then a male's lower region.

'Well now, aren't we sensitive.' said the leader with a smirk as he looked Sam in the eyes.
'Now, where is that other neko that was with you, the feisty one? Come on, tell me.' he said menacingly.
Back with Clark, he stopped dead when he heard the screams. He figured that he must've pulled his tail, hard, and it hurt him alot. He started to shake with anger, his fists clenched.
When the goons charged, weapons raised, Clark slammed his fist across the one's face, sending him to the ground. The other managed to cut him a couple times, but in the end, Clark got him in the groin and sent him crawling.

Sam felt tears stream down his face as he trembled a little from the fear and pain of having his tail held so tightly. Sam's ears then flickered back as he hissed a little. Why did he want to know about Max? Sam still stared fearfully at the leader, but he glanced at Clark a few times, whimpering as he saw Clark was bleeding and hurt.

'Well, say something, you little wimp!' he screamed. He didn't want to wait at all, so he slapped Sam across the face.
At this point, Clark could see Sam and the leader. He could see the tears falling down Sam's face. The rage continued to build inside of him.
"Don't touch him you scumbag!" He yelled as he charged at the leader and tackled him to the ground, causing the leader to let go of Sam.
Clark then began to punch his face repeatedly. No doubt the thug fought back, causing Clark to sustain more injuries.
Eventually, the thug leader passed out and Clark got up. As the other thugs dragged their leader away, he turned to Sam on the ground. He then got on his knees and pulled him close.
"Are you okay? Did he touch you?" he asked, tears actually brimming in his eyes. ((OOC: I hope it's okay I made the leader slap Sam. I thought it would add for dramatic effect.))

Sam looked at the leader and flinched as he yelled, yelping as he was slapped across the face. He cried more as he trembled hard and looked at the male. He then looked at Clark and quickly crawled away as he tackled the leader. The boy curled onto a ball and trembled violently as he cried and held onto his sore tail. Sam whimpered a little then looked up to see that it was Clark that had pulled him close. Another sob bursts through his chest as he wrapped his arms around Clark and nuzzled agaisnt him, his cheek had formed a small bruise and his tail felt that is had been stomped on and ripped off of his body. The boy trembled as he held onto Clark tightly and nodded a little.

"Sh, I'm here now." he said as he stroked his back. He then lifted up his face to check for injuries and found a bruise. The rage shot through him but he held himself back from chasing after the brutes. Then, sadness settled in.
"He... Hurt you...If only...I had been here sooner..." he said tears falling down his own cheeks as he kissed the bruise.
