Magnus stood with Rosie in the streets of Death City, looking around at all the shops and people. "To be honest, I've never seen anywhere like Death City before," he said to her as he watched Meisters and Weapons walk by shops full of magical items.

Magnus nodded. "I certainly feel more...welcome here than I did in my hometown," he said with a sad smile. He looked over at a stall where they seemed to be selling something shiny. He walked over, looking down to see what it was. There was an array of jewelry sold by an elderly lady. Practically every kind of gem and precious stone was on sale there. He leaned forward, looking at a silver necklace inlaid with bright blue Sapphires. He stood for a moment, then smiled as he pointed at it. "I'll take that one," he said to the lady. He paid for it quickly, before Rosie could see and walked over to her. He held it up before here. "Here," he said, beaming. "In celebration of our victory. It'll go perfectly with your dress."

Magnus smiled. "You don't have to do that. I'm not a big fan of jewelry," he stopped to think, knowing she probably wouldn't accept unless he at least let her do something in return. "How about...you take me out for lunch?" He asked, a friendly smile still on his face.

Magnus looked up, pretending to think. "I can't think of anything," he said, smiling mischievously. "Guess you'll just have to accept lunch."

Magnus rocked back and forth on his heels, biting his lip as he thought. "Well I...." this time he was honestly unsure. "There's this model boat that I've always wanted. It's not as expensive as a sapphire necklace but it's pretty expensive. I never really brought myself to buying it but I'd always look at it in the window as I crossed the shop." He looked at her, excited now that he thought about it. "It was made of mahogany and the craftsman had perfectly balanced it on both axises; he'd even drilled metal rods into the bow to make the weight proportionally realistic and the sails were made of real sailcloth of different ships the craftsman had sailed on and..." he went on, talking about all kinds of different aspects of the model ship that he thought were awesome, clearly enjoying himself.

"Actually, should be just around that corner there," said Magnus as he pointed down the street. He was grinning like a little kid, thinking about how awesome that model ship was. He had loved building models as a kid but never really had time for it since he had gotten older and had to learn all the ins and outs of the rich life.
