I look at the FE9&10 teams and going, "This could and should be much better." I would have rather be facing Oscar, Boyd, and Rolf than Geoffrey, Lucia, and Mia. 3 swordmasters is a bit unbalanced and unnecessary. I see no need for Sigrun for the FE10 team. Nolan OR Haar would be nice, actually Sephiran could be taken out too so both can get in. Then again this is just my opinion.

Sephiran's in as the main antagonist of the story, hence his spot at the end of the list, which makes sense.

He's also the first antagonist that uses Magic NOT to be a Sorcerer, so I'm digging it.
And while I'm happy to see Nephenee and do like her, I don't think she and Brom deserve the spots. Nolan has definitely been robbed.
Ok, there's a new wave of DLC. Spirit Talisman is complete. No more redesigned characters. Nope, the next set is called...
"Path of the Grandmaster Tactician" And is composed of 3 smaller sets: "Ultimate Training" (*****) - 4 Maps The enemies fought on this set are FIERCE. Actually, "Fierce" isn't the word for it. You'll NEED Limit Breaker. You'll NEED to use Double. And you will STILL DIE. The enemy appears to be, ahem, green. And by green, I mean, they're outright capped, with stupid modifiers on them... and they're wielding Lunatic+ Skills like Great Shield+ and Absolute Hit... and Evil Dragon Scale. Oh, and if that's not enough, it's been seen-- the enemy have "Uber" weapons in the vein of the Uber Spear of FE7, but that's not all: Not only do they have that kind of power-- it's on FE4 Holy Weapon class (+20s for ****s and giggles). Only the truly skilled will have a chance! And there's Demon Entombed as well as two mystery classes lurking in the shadows... The first map is "The Boundary of Life And Death", where fighters, friend and foe alike are reduced to 1HP at the start of each phase!
"Other World Resort" (*) - 3 Maps Fire Emblem Beach Episode. No, really. The point of this set isn't much: It's all about characterization. Lots of map convos to be had while the FEA team is trying to relax (but Revenants attack anyways). The first map is "Harvest Festival Bonds", with convos focusing on same gender characters (specifically because the support system is focused on Male/Female couples for the sake of gameplay). (Hopefully, we get some more insight on Paris. While he did have a conversation with Ike on LvD, it was kinda lame.)
"The Hopeless Future" (???) - ?? Maps
Cross into Lucina's timeline and be ready to fight Gimle at full power... Details unknown as of now.
And I suppose, since this is one of the DLC announcement posts....
Oh my glob, this is what DLC is about- extra cool fun stuff! Stemmed from cliche anime filler? Who cares, it's still fun! And serenes says that there's over 200 character conversations, that is ridiculous in the best way.

I will dish out my money to get these DLC chapters if they import the DLC, too. I wanna see those 200+ conversations.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the Ultimate Training set over the other ones, but that's because I'm a tad crazy. Maybe a masochist when it comes to difficulty, but w/e.
...I hope that the Hopeless Future set is even crazier than the Ultimate Training set.
Reward for killing Ultimate Training 1's boss Algol(2) in 10 turns: Est. Well, she's a bit of a twink.Level 5 with 5 skills. ( Lightning Speed, Good Growths, Weak beats Strong, Luna, Luck+4) (Now, give us an updated Nino and Amelia for clearing the rest of these crazy maps.) "Harvest Festival Bonds" has Revenants with 50 LCK. (Alright, so you can't crit them. Whatever. It's LUCK.)
She looks like such a dude. I know drag queens that can produce bigger breasts out of nothing. I'm not saying it's bad - I love androgyny - it's just remarkable.
Too bad I don't like Est.

Back from vacation (sorta)! Well, it's great to know that this isn't the end of the DLC, and that we'll be getting more than just the spirit talisman stuff. Though of course with Est comes the desire to see more characters pop up and with them, more character art. I actually really like Est's art. While the detailing in her clothes and boots and such sort of contrast with her simple face, it's well drawn and proportioned, and the simple happy Est face reminds me of the artwork for the older FE games, which I have a major soft spot for. Mostly this one. I didn't know that Nishimura had done a fair amount of artwork for Capcom, due to there not ever being much Capcom in my life. Though I do remember her adorable contribution to Akaneia Chronicle. Time to look for more, as I like what I've seen here in FE land. I'm usually not big on Est and her ilk, but in a game where you can go past the endgame and continue to level your characters in DLC and whatnot, I could see using her.
It's also good that more than one facet of the fandom is being addressed with this DLC. Those who play for story and characters and those who play for difficulty are being served with these new DLC series. Not that people can't enjoy them both at the same time, of course.
Ultimate Training Episode 2: Merchant Rescue (*****)
Nothing spectacular. Looks to be a merchant rescue mission (like seen as a skirmish) on a lava stage. (Lava does 10 damage, as standard) It also looks like this particular map requires air units.
It IS 5-star difficulty, so expect it to be clobberin' time. There probably will be a character for a reward if you save all the merchants, but if so, said character is kept secret for now.
Saving Anna is the Merchant Rescue skirmish (Find a Skirmish on a Merchant... and bam, you've got a "lighter" version of this mission.) So, it's pretty standard. (And in case you didn't know yet, Anna = the "Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny" of Fire Emblem-- there's TONS of her/her siblings/clones/time hax) I've read from quite a few that this one is a let down ("Three weeks for this?!"). (Oh, I'd be one to laugh about it-- the enemies here are probably gonna be insane...)
