Yin waited for the water to douse him. And waited. He glanced up as Alexander began speaking, wondering why he was not soaked already. "You won this round Alexander, you must. I am fine. Besides, you made me move the heater, so you should not worry about me getting too cold. Just enjoy it?" He forced himself to smile a little, trying to show the zomboil that it was really alright.

With that he ducked his head down a bit, not wanting to get splashed in the face with the liquid.

Alex shrugged. "Ok, if you say so." The upended the bottle over Yin's head. He now understood why pouring bottle after bottle over Alex's head may have been quite an enjoyable experience for the weremantis, thoroughly enjoying this one small victory over Yin himself. Even if this was the only one he got, it was still sweet.

Yin didn't have a shirt to soak up the water as it ran down his head and onto his back and chest, so a lot more of it ended up on the floor then it had the first time Alex had gotten soaked. When he was finished he sat back with a grin, putting the empty bottle back down next to him. "You go first this time." he nodded down towards the cards, waiting to see what number Yin flipped over this time.

Yin could not help the shiver that racked through him as the cold water hit, going quickly through his hair as short as it was, spilling over his neck and shoulders and running down both his back and chest, some of it saturating his pants and some of it just going straight to the floor.

And Alexander had acted as if this was nothing.

Thankfully the heat rolling over him combated the cold as he nodded and reached for the next card and flipped over...another person. This one was not like the one he had flipped over before, but it was male. A king? It did have a K on it. Either way it was supposed to be a rather high card. "This is a King, correct?"

Alex was happy to note that though Yin was definitely affected by the cold of the water, he was able to shake it off relatively quickly and was ready to move on to another round.

What he was not happy about, was the sight of that king that Yin turned over. "Yes, that's a king." He sighed. "So I have to turn over an ace in order to win. You might as well just get that bottle of water ready now." He laughed, reaching over to turn over his card.

Sure enough, it was another five. Of course. He picked up the bottle of water next to him and tossed it over towards Yin. "Clearly I am terrible at games of random chance. Remind me of that next time I decide to play any type of game like this with you again." He said it with a large smile though, which indicated that he wasn't upset by the loss in the slightest.

Yin could not help but grin as Alexander pointed out that he needed an Ace to win. One card? Those were low odds indeed. And it was a five. He caught the bottle tossed toward him with one hand and proceeded to open it.

"Games of random chance? But if I am lucky this time you may be lucky next time, and I for one find this game rather enjoyable. I almost hoped that we could play it again tomorrow." Had he really? Of course not, but if the zomboil was going to bemoan his luck, even if in a joking manner, Yin was going to say something about it.

"I almost do not see the point of soaking you at this point, I think the only way you could get any wetter is if you went swimming."

That did not stop him from pouring the water all over the zomboil however.

There are really only so many times one can be drenched with water before it becomes redundant. Yin basically hit the nail right on the head when he voiced exactly what Alex was thinking, though swimming for the zomboil was completely and utterly out of the question.

Alex tilted his head back and let the water wash over his face and chest, though it pretty much just streamed off of him to soak into the floor, having no where else to go.

This was like, two showers in two days, right? Surely that meant he could get away with not having another one for a year or more.

When Yin was finished, he stuck his tongue out at the weremantis in an action of incredible maturity before reaching over and picking up another card, slapping it down on the floor, almost scared to look at what he might have turned up this time.

One would think that the 5th bottle of water being dumped on someone would be so redundant as to be boring. But, in fact, it was still oddly enjoyable. Alexander had tiled his head back, and the rivulets of water were almost fascinating. The water had barely finished flowing out of the bottle when Alexander was sticking out his tongue, a gesture normally seen performed by small children.

And Yin could not help but laugh at him as the boil reached around to flip another card. He settled back in his place and flipped a card of his own. A seven...and Alexander also had a seven. He glanced up, curious. "What do we do now? Do we both get water poured over us?"

As tempting as it was to say 'No, the person to have flipped up the card first gets to dump the remainder of the water on the other.' Alex couldn't just lie to his friend and answered him with the truth instead.

"Now we put the next three cards on the deck on the floor, face down, and flip up the fourth card. Since this is supposed to be more cards, I would say it's worth more water as well." He eyed the remaining 3 bottles before continuing on.

"Soooo, how about this be the finishing round and the winner gets to pour the rest of the water left on the loser?" Alex was pretty sure Yin had already won no matter what the outcome of this final round was, but he still clung to some amount of hope that he could at least give the other boil a good soaking before they were through.

He reached out picked up the three cards, facing them face down on the floor then resting his hand atop the deck, waiting for Yin to do the same before flipping over his final card.

"That sounds as if it should be fair," Yin admitted.

At least, it did until the zomboil turned up a queen. The hauntingly feminine face stared up at him, as if mocking his pathetic three cards and daring him to try to best her. Him? Best a ghoul? Laughable.

Oh hey, look! He drew Alexander's favorite card. A five.

Shrugging he glanced up. "It appears as though you have won when it matters." Just three bottles right? That still added to...four? So he had dumped more water on the zomboil than would have dumped on him. So he added a grin and a cheeky "but I think we both know who really won."

Alex just raised an eyebrow at the boil while he busied himself with slowly unscrewing the lids off of each of the three bottles, taking his time with each one. "Oh? Well, did you think of a prize that you would want for winning then?" He asked, putting each lid on the floor before collecting all three bottles between his two hands and moving closer to the weremantis.

"Don't worry, I'll try to make this quick." He promised, before turning all three of the bottles over at once, effectively making sure that Yin got good and thoroughly soaked from head to toe as he shook out the last few drops of water on the other boil, sitting back with what might possibly be the biggest grin he'd ever given to somebody.

He had had fun with this, and he hoped Yin had too. He didn't wast any time, however, in reaching over to pull the blanket off of the bed and wrap it around the other boil, sitting down in front of him so that there knees were touching. He hoped there were other blankets somewhere in the house that he could replace this one with, but if there wasn't he could always call his mom and have her take it to the dryer for him. He couldn't help but laugh at his friends now incredibly sodden looking state. He reached up to run fingers through his own hair, attempting to shake out the water that still soaked it down and leaving it in a mess of hair that stuck out in every direction. Yin was really much luckier in that he had such short hair, he didn't have any trouble with it being a mess as much as Alex did.

Yin tried to think about what he would want but he was slightly distracted by the zomboil and his bottles of water. If he was not imagining it, when the zomboil finally turned the bottles of water over he managed to move them around enough that he soaked every square inch of the mantodae. It would likely have been funnier if he was not freezing by the time the ordeal was over, and shivering despite his best efforts, but he managed to return a grin to the boil as water continued to drip off of him.

Before he could really think too much about it Alexander was wrapping him in his blanket, effectively soaking bits of it as well as he held it to him, rubbing his arms to try to warm them up as he huddled there. After a minute he began to towel himself off a bit more, reaching up to dry his hair a bit and carefully drying his antenna. "Hm, what do I want?" he thought about it carefully. It was not possible for Princess Eva to be here right now, Alexander had already allowed him to talk to her this afternoon, and he very well could not ask him to send his sisters to another town. So as it was? "I do not desire anything right now, I am content being here with you."

And then, not because he was cold, but probably due to a bit of dust trapped in the blanket, he sneezed.

Alex was keeping a close eye on the boil, making sure he wasn't wracked with shivers or turning a shade of blue from the cold. He thought that the blanket and having the heater so near may have helped a bit, but he said quietly, while watching his friend attempt to dry off with the blanket "Next time, I think we'll use warm water, ok?" he smiled, longing so much to crawl inside that blanket with the other shirtless boil and curl up in his lap like some kind of over grown zombie puppy.

"Well, first of all that's not much of a prize. Second of all you would have gotten that whether or not you had won so again..not much of a prize" He laughed, before starting to push himself to his feet to go and grab some towels---

--which he promptly halted in doing the second Yin sneezed. His eyes widened in horror. "Oh Jack, I didn't make you sick, did I?" He said worriedly as he collapsed back to the floor and leaned in towards the other boil as if he could see what had made him sneeze.

"Are you ok? Are you still cold? I can go and find another blanket or something? A hot drink perhaps..." It was almost comical how frantically he was bombarding Yin with questions.

The anxious look on Alexander's face and the onslaught of questions had Yin shaking his head and reaching down to pat the zomboil's hand. "No I am quite alright, it was probably just some dust or something. A few cold water bottles is not enough to completely destroy my immune system." Still, the zomboil had a point when he had asked if he was cold, he should probably change his clothing soon or else they truly might make him sick. He was also noticing that the blanket was absorbing water wherever it brushed against the ground.

But if Alexander was going to force him to chose a prize..."Hm, for my win I think I would like a hot drink. But, there are two stipulations." There had to be stipulations after all, or else it would not be much of a prize, would it? "First of all, you must make it yourself." Though with that, who knew if Alexander would manage to bring it back up while it was still warm. "And two, you must leave your phone with me so I can look at the picture of Princess Eva." Because that was the real prize, more time with a picture of his darling.

Alex leaned back a little bit finally, listening intently to what Yin was saying, searching for the hint of a rasp in his voice to indicate any illness. "Ok, if you say so..." he said, though the look on his face made it quite obvious that he was unconvinced.

Oh, so Yin was going to choose a prize now? He hadn't actually expected that, but he supposed he would do pretty much anything to make the weremantis happy, so he continued to listen to what the other boil wanted, grabbing on the edge of the bed to help pull himself slowly to his feet. Oh jack, had he left his phone in his pocket this whole time?? He quickly fished it out, glad that he had bought that new case as it seemed to protect the phone from most of the water. He was lucky he hadn't destroyed the phone, though, and would have to remember to be more careful next time.

"Ya, sure..I can do that." He frowned as he looked down at his phone and started tapping at the screen. "But you realise that'll require me going all the way downstairs to actually get you a drink, and it will take me a long time to get back. Lock the door while I'm gone?" He asked, though he assumed Yin probably would. He then tossed the phone towards Yin once the image of princess Eva was on the screen.

"Just touch the screen every once in a while to keep the image up, or the screen will go black again like it did before." Alex shuffled over to the closet with their clothes in it, pulling out a dry shirt and throwing it on to button up over his still damp skin. His hair was a wet and tangled mess, his pants and socks soaked.

"I'll come back as soon as I can." He promised as he made his way too the door and out.

It, of course, took the zombie ages just to get down the hallway and downstairs. Then, he was accosted with relatives, most of which took in his wet clothing and hair with small shakes of their heads and raised eyebrows. He didn't feel like explaining what had happened, as he made his way through the throng of relations towards the kitchen.

"Alex!" He heard Justin yell his name as he wandered into the kitchen, the young zomboil along with the others were just going out the back door. "Hey! Are you back down for the night? We scored some cider and were just going back outside to drink it. You coming?" he, of course, hissed out all of this in a hushed tone, not wanting to alert any adults towards their delinquency.

"Hey! Um..no, not yet...soon though. Save me some, maybe?" Wait, cider could be heated up, couldn't it? Alex really had no idea how to make any type of hot drink, since he'd never drank any before. "Actually, can you give me two now? I promise I'll be down to hang out later, once Yin goes to sleep." He smiled as his cousin wandered back into the kitchen and handed two bottles to Alex from beneath his shirt.

"Ya sure, no problem! See you later then!" The other zombie gave Alex a quick slap on the back, and then frowned as though just noticing that he was quite wet before wandering back out the door.

So with that, Alex found a large glass with a handle in the cupboard, opened one of the drinks, poured it in, and shoved it in the microwave to heat up. He had to study the appliance for some time before figuring out how to work it, but eventually he got it started.

It wasn't until it was all finished that he realised he was going to somehow have to sneak this back up stairs. The drink in the cup he'd probably get away with...possibly...if he told anybody who asked that it was just a non alcoholic drink. The bottle however...

He set the drink down on the counter, then shoved the bottle in the waistband of his pants before drawing his shirt down over top and picking the drink up once again to take it upstairs.

More pushing through the crowds, which resulted in him spilling some of the hot liquid on his hand with a hiss, more climbing the long spiraling flight of stairs, and more shambling down an endless hallway before he reached the door and knocked on it.

"I'm back. Already. Bet you didn't even notice I was gone because of how fast I was." He shouted with a laugh through the door, waiting for Yin to come and open it up.

"Take whatever time you need," he said, obviously distracted by the shining screen. He trailed to the door, locking it carefully and then double checking the door before going to stand in the middle of the room, gazing at the photo adoringly.

After several minutes he realized that he should probably actually change out of his freezing clothing, and decided to do so as quickly as possible to get back to the picture. He stripped and changed quickly, then managed to find a couple of places to lay out his soaked clothing. He sat on the bed, legs criss-crossed, and grabbed the phone again, only to realize the screen was blank.

He almost started to panic, but then he remembered. Okay, the photo was just...not showing the right screen. What did Alexander do with that? He tapped the screen, nothing, and then finally he hit the button and it blazed to life. After reading it he slid his finder across it, and the phone switched screens. Now what? There, camera. The screen changed but there was no picture. He stared at the screen, and finally just started to tap on the screen randomly, at least trying to get it to go back. Finally the screen changed.

And he was staring at...himself. No...herself? He froze, staring at the image, his mouth going dry, trying desperately to swallow and somewhat failing at even that basic function. Why was this...why did...how had...when had...

He lost track of time, the screen going black as he simply stared down at it until there was a knock at the door. At least Alexander sounded happy, he really could not concentrate on what he was saying. He opened door, handed over the phone wordlessly, and shut it again before sliding the lock into place with an audible click.
