Chi bit her lip but focused on just getting to the Leaf Hospital for now. She helped Vale out of the door and through the village, ignoring any looks, threats, etc. from other shinobi or even citizens. She just returned their taunts with an icy glare before continuing on the trip. Once at the hospital, she merely ignored the stares from other medical ninjas and helped Vale to an empty room which was usually set aside for her own issues before finding the cure.

Vale really was to weak to protest. He'd been progressively losing his strength, and the throw earlier used up the last of it. Laying on the bed, the Uchiha didn't move and just stared up at the ceiling blankly.

Chi watched Vale lay quietly for a bit before turning to the three medical ninja that gathered in the room. "Chi? Isn't that-" "Yeah, yeah, he's the Uchiha. I owe him in the first place for even finding the cure, but it seems there's more to the illness than we thought. I have a theory, but we need to get to work immediately." She briefed them quickly on her theory, and surprisingly they didn't seem to object when she asked for their help in altering the cure. Immediately, two of the nins and Chi disappeared from the room while the third got Vale hooked up to a blood transfusion and an IV drip to help keep him stable.

The Uchiha just layed there, listening to everyone move about, his eyes closed. He couldn't believe what was happening, especially seeing as he'd attacked the Leaf a few days ago.

Over the course of the next three hours, the three medical nins took shifts almost every fifteen minutes, keeping an eye on Vale while the other two would work with Chi in getting the cure altered. By the end of the three hours, Chi decided to check in on Vale for this shift. She entered the room and shut the door behind her, then took a seat by his bed. "So... How are you feeling?..." she asked gently.

Vale turned his head slightly to look at Chi, his eyes open halfway. "A little better...at least mentally." he said, smiling slightly.

Chi returned the smile and nodded, running a hand through her own hair. "Well, I guess we're making a little progress. It takes a lot of willpower to get better with a normal illness, so... yeah..." she said with a soft embarrassed laugh.

"Well, I've got support, so, hopefully I'll get through." He said, his head still facing her, but his eyes closed.

Chi's smile faded slightly as he closed his eyes, then she looked down at her hands in her lap. "I-i'll make sure you pull through... I'll do whatever it takes... I promise..."

Chi held still for a while, simply staring at his hand. A single tear ran down her cheek, only to be wiped away after a moment, followed by a nod. Of course, she had to pull her hand out of his and turn towards the door. "I-i'll be back in a bit... and when I come back, I promise I'll have your cure..."

Chi stood in the doorway to the room for a few moments before leaving. One of the other medical ninjas took over her shift.

It wasn't until a few more hours passed that Chi had finally returned once again. It was clear that she was tired, but she had a small pouch which protected a few precious vials. "V-vale?... Are you awake?..." she asked softly as she slipped into the room.

Vale nodded, but his eyes were closed. "I don't sleep when it's your shift." he said quietly. Honestly, he'd grown to learn the schedule, and was happy she was back.

"Well, Chi asked me to see if you have any updates on the Uchiha case." She said getting down from Rhea and tightening her mother's scarf around her neck.
