Speaking of the siren, Irsafel looked back at the other students. "What are you guys doing, we have to save Shehk!" His ear wings were on full alert. something dropped down and he made a 'whoops sorry' to whatever it hit.
"Riley! We need to go after Shehk!"

Edel had assumed it was one of the boogeymen. Red was gone, there was no sense in deluding herself that she had returned. Red cloaks were not exclusively Red's.
Or Halloween's.
The frost demon recognised the blinding flash at the blue arc that swept across the place, knocking the students back. The ghoul caught a glimpse of the gold trimmed sleeve. It was him.
The horsemen were right – of course they would be! Those hunters could infiltrate their school, fine. But him?. Now?

The ghoul picked herself up and gave chase, forming an ice dagger which she hurled at the cloaked figure. The shot went wide and the ghoul stood on the spot, forming another projectile that might have a greater reach. She would have taken another shot until she realised that he was not alone. He had taken one of them!
Edel dropped whatever she was holding and just stood in shock. THINK she demanded of herself, but nothing came. That was, until Riley's voice came blasting into her head. The frost demon looked around the crowd to see where it came from – that definitely did not come from her. Nevermind that for now, she chided, shaking her head and snapping her attention back to the escapee. Riley's warning had cleared her head a little, yes, it could be a trap.
Now what?
The ghoul knew all too well that they didn't stand a chance against that man, the man who took them out in a single strike here as well as in the haunted house. It seemed that someone had gone to call for help but that might be too late as well. Edel clenched her fist tightly, nails digging into her flesh. It was the same as back then, to go back to safety or enter the enemy's trap filled territory. Both choices were not wrong, the ghoul didn't know how to decide. If anything, the field trip had left her incapable of making the decision.
The ghoul could only think back on the fact that she would much rather die than be taken, imprisoned and converted into a weapon. He now had one of them ... the same fate awaits. Edel bit down on her lip but couldn't resist the sick thought that just crossed her mind. If it were her she would have chosen that option, but if .... if they aimed to dissipate Shehk ...
No, no, that was far too unethical, the rest of the students would object to it for sure. Edel herself felt disgusted that she could even think of that. But. Halloween does not die. Between that and being turned into a weapon or purged. Even Red had -
No. That was not her choice to make. The ghoul could only stand there helpless and defeated.

Eris was late.
Unsurprisingly late, in fact -- of all the times the students had seen her, with the exception of within her own lair, it was unlikely they had ever witnessed the horsewoman being on time. She wouldn't deny it either, nor would she pretend that it was some sort of 'fashion statement,' the idea of covering up an apparent faux pas an entirely new concept to the arrogant ghoul. The fact remained that on most occasions, likely including the one they were in at this very point in time, Eris just did not care about the comings and goings and drama of the students, which is clearly what she had chalked this up to be. The only reason she was there at all was because she had a sudden invested interest in these students... that and a chase was always exciting.
The sound of hooves pounding on hard earth echoed through the dense canopy of dead leaves and finger-like branches, heard far before the sorrel horse became visible. Without an apparent visible command from its rider, it suddenly darted sideways, narrowly avoiding a thick-barked tree as it immersed itself within the crowd of students, eyes wild. Where its hooves touched the ground, the earth became hot and hard, the grass completely charred, much to the seeming delight of the woman who rode it bareback. Smiling sweetly, she looked to some of the surrounding students, leaning down low over the horse's neck to see more eye-to-eye with them, clearly completely at ease.
"Would one of you loves tell me what it is we hunt?" she crooned, looking between them with the interest of a predator in sheep's clothing.

Mitsu was still trying to place the voice, it was bothering her to an extreme degree. Then the stranger's sleeve came into view. The gold trim made her eyes widen and she began to turn toward Xiu and Mort but the shockwave took her off her feet throwing her a few feet before she landed on the ground. She was dazed a moment, the familiarity of the attack driving this person's identity home. This was no Halloweener.
Standing to her feet with Shun's help Mitsu bore witness to the cloaked figure making a run for it with Shrek in tow. "Ah! They have someone!" Mitsu nodded to Shun before taking off as well, trying to be mindful of an attack. If this was who she thought it was then a strike back could be horrid.

Riley was calling out to them telling them it was a trap but Mitsu wasn't going to listen. Not while the hunter had a classmate in tow. She ran as fast as she could keeping pace with Shun just fine, trying to ready herself for an attack.
Once she was close enough to the cloaked figure she lashed out with her claws trying to grab whatever she could but it didn't seem like he was going to stop so easily. "Put her down!"

Eris all but froze atop her mount, staring at Edel as if the ghoul had suddenly been transformed into a human right in front of her. Her grin was gone, had vanished as soon as the word 'scythe' had been uttered, and had been replaced by a long, piercing stare.
"The master-hunter is here?!"
By the sudden murderous look in Eris' eyes, she did not look happy about this news. Surprisingly, it was not for the reason most would have thought. While she was certainly unhappy he had infiltrated Amityville, she was more unhappy that there was a chance, however slim, that in this sort of mob, someone could kill him before she did. Immediately she straightened on her horse, fire suddenly erupting from her hands to engulf all the way up her forearms. With a harsh flick of her wrist, the flame suddenly shot forward like a twisting, writhing snake, burning anything in its path.
She was going to set the entire forest on fire. HP: 60 Damage: 10

There was plenty of commotion happening near the gym, with all the students and the shouting. But that wasn't what had attracted Astra towards the chaos. She had been sitting in one of the forest trees, brooding everything that had happened, when a red blur had whizzed past her tree making it sway. With a yelp she lost her balance and fell out, her wings flickering into action to prevent her from having a crash landing.
The fairy ghoul was not all that familiar with the horseman, so seeing the red haired ghoul on horseback was suprizing to say the least. Did she know anyone who rode on a horse? She flew after said ghoul as she rode through the forest, keeping a good distance and using the trees as cover encase she was seen, until she reached the group of students who were chasing after...something.
She had brief second to look around before the ghoul on horseback suddenly shot a plume of fire. Thankfully she was behind her so there was no chance of her being caught in the attack. But it did allow her to see who was being attacked; a figure wearing a very familiar cloak, and also carrying Shehk

Since she was so late, Astra had not heard Riley's warning to not go after the cloaked figure. Not to mention one of her class mates was in trouble. not to mention that she still remembered when Shehk had tried to help her when Red had gone berserk, so she was only too keen to fly towards him with everyone
"Let her go!" She called out, throwing a leaf his way.

Edel returned Eris' gaze unapologetically, quietly stepping back as the horsewoman cast a streak of fire towards the hunter. The ghoul said nothing about Eris' lack of care that a student was being carried off by him for the following reasons. One – she probably did not care and Two – she probably did not care. With that, the frost demon gave herself some distance between herself and Eris lest she be subjected to the horsewoman's murderous rage and fire, literally and figuratively.

Zurine had no idea what was going on - she'd simply hear a lot of voices, seen a largish group and come over to investigate. Before she got very close however a strange blue light came arcing out of somewhere and knocked her backwards, kissing dirt Zurine picked herself up and stumbled a bit as she tried to reorient herself in the confusion.
It looked like some of the student had managed to give chase..though she wasn't exactly sure what they were chasing she could hear the anger in some of the voices and decided to race after her fellow students in part to see what was going on and in part because if there was something dangerous going on (or a new student being chased by a mob as she had feared might happen since the whole meeting in the bathroom thing - though the strange blue light made that a bit less probable) she wanted to either help or try and restore reason

The figure began to speak again and it was about them being... too weak. The manner of the figure's speech reminded her of someone she just couldn't place a finger on. It was like that feeling of something just on the tip of your tongue that just wouldn't come to mind. No, it wasn't kin... this robed thing was familiar. But not kin. Fuzzy green ears caused her to glance away from the figure for a moment. It was Demi; he looked to be working one of those eye phone devices rather speedily. It reminded her of Mot's eagerness in the hallway to keep that eye phone he had running. Surely the hound was doing something important then? She speedily made her way through the crowd to get over to him and see what it was he needed to do but- the figure surprisingly sent out a jolt of a shockwave at the entire student body present. This too seemed so very familiar as she took to the ground right by Demi. Only the ghoul didn't recover quite as quickly as others had. She struggled, using her tail to try and prop herself up once the motions of the shockwave stopped tingling through her tissues. It wasn't very effective. Her adjusting vision was still foggy... but the now running figure in a distance had someone and was making a break for it. Demi hollered for the others to take chase if they hadn't already begun doing so, but she couldn't seem to arise. At first chance, Rex... git 'em...If she wasn't going to be able to recover, surely he would. He'd have to take aim for them both. She wasn't able to see the full extent of his own damages at the time. Had Riley Also said something? Staying behind. Why would they need to- the ghoul's head pounded too much to think about the whys.

Roch got to his feet, having been tossed back by the shockwave, but hell, he'd been sitting anyway. The only problem was, there were too many fallen bodies on the ground that had tripped over themselves, and he barely managed not to kick poor Lark as he tripped over Ben's tail.
"Sonofawitch, this is pathetic," he muttered, shoving himself to his feet. Then again, he remembered how his last trip into a trap had gone. Not that it'd stop him this time.

Willow watched as she saw the sudden flash of blue and then gold trim. The tigress had been standing there watching him quietly. Unsure of how she felt about the stranger in the cloak and then suddenly, for this to happen. She felt herself knocked back by the shock wave, and struggled to keep her balance
Her ears were back as she watched him take Shehk and run, Riley's words were in he head, to stay back? If they stayed back would the problem continue? Willow stood there torn on what to do it seemed like forever had passed before she looked around. Her eyes flicked over to Bul and Mei, they were staying back. She looked concerned and eventually asked, "You two okay?"
Her eyes moved back to watching the ones chasing the cloaked figure. "There should probably be a rescue party waiting in case they all don't come back..." She mused to really no one at all. She didn't want to think about them not coming back and the visions of the cages with friends turning into weapons. She saw Eris' flames from the distance, there was another frown.
