The shockwave caught Xiu completely off guard. With a yelp, she tumbled over, slamming rather roughly into the ground. It didn't help that, being trapped in the net, she hadn't been able to throw out her hands to break her fall.
Ouch. Wincing, she pushed herself up into a sitting position, her gaze flickering towards a fellow student and friend who was also still trapped. "Mot! Are you okay?" It seemed as if he hadn't been harmed by the shockwave, thank goodness for that.

If Mot's wish was for Mandy to not get captured then he needed to stop jinxing people with his bad luck.
She didn't even have time to register the movement before she was tumbling to the ground, limbs caught.
"Jack it!"
Struggling Mandy paid no mind to the fight between the teachers and so didn't realize the bullet she had dodged when the shockwave passed over her.

The sounds of battle was rampant everywhere as bodies were thrown around and the clashing of weapons rang in the air. It was madness. And with all the prone forms stuck doing nothing but watch it was nightmarish to witness.
It wasn't as scary as the rush of wind that was quickly gaining ground and heading for everyone in its path "Oh Jack!" the green eared boil swore lightly and dropped to the flat surface like it was hot, the blast of air running over the tip of his waving tail with nary a nick. How rude of him to try that, the hunter.
Damien however opted to instead of fight, to free others to keep the forces growing and running around frantically allowed him to spot someone that he didn't expect to see there.

Jude was attacked by some creature he didn't really care about the damage was negligible at best and he pretty much found himself dismissing it after it hit. Then there came the shockwave. As much as he tried to brace himself it still hurt quite a bit more than the earlier attack did making him utter a small disapproving sound.
What the hell?
He tried to shrug it off and focus again.

Something...something was coming his way. Was he supposed to stay low, or high?
High, apparently.
Too bad Harrison was sliding down the hill. Gravity did its thing, and he caught the full brunt of the damage. Friendly fire his a**.

Hel watched with grim satisfaction as Eris was released and true to her word, started to make it rain fire upon some of the false reapers. She felt a sense of accomplishment at this, but it was no time to dwell. Her gaze scanned the battlefield, taking in the ghoul that was trying to help Mot, but grimaced as she couldn’t quite pull it off. Damn it! It seemed the net on him was still too strong…she couldn’t get it this time! The reaper’s head whipped around, looking for a net that looked ready to give. Ah! The reaper lunged over towards Sammy, wasting no time in reaching out to pull the net away from the undead ghoul. “ Come on, friend!” She uttered to her encouragingly, but let out a grunt as a shockwave seemed to sweep through the battlefield. Action: DEFEND (Sammy’s roll was a 6. My roll was a 2. 6 + 2 = 8. Sammy is free!) HP: 19 – 4 = 15/30

Of all the students on the field, he didn't expect to see her there. "............ XIU!" alarmed for her safety, the demon wasted no time chewing at the net feverishly like it was a last meal. "What the Jack are you doing out here?" There were far too many questions to ask her and now was not the time for any of them. "Let's get you out of there!" The hound spent the time muttering and growling at the rope strands but with all the extra burn damage, it fell apart fairly easily and hoisted her up on to now moveable, dainty feet, in heels no less. "Don't we look pretty today?"Target: Damage: none. (turn used for net releasing) Xiu's 6 +1 yields 7, she's free! HP: 16/30 Fear: Eyes of Death (Headlights lvl 1) Demi uses his eyes to immobilize the opponent, works better with multiple heads.

(OH FOR HELL'S SAKE MOT
Eris is helping release 'the cute cowboy')
The sound of screams, be it Hunter or Student, brought a bubbling cackle of delight from War's heir, tossing back her head and spreading her arms a little at her sides, fire still licking at her palms. The flames had lessened considerably at this point, a great deal of her energy spent in that singular attack, but they still crackled threateningly, licking her fingers as if begging for another target. The damage to her skin, however, was was painfully obvious, hands an half her forearms completely black, and not with soot. The rest of her arm, all the way up to the singed sleeves of her silky red dress, were covered in third degree burns, an angry red as if she had placed them in scalding water. But it was clear the the horsewoman was far too drunk on the battle to notice. The damage wasn't extensive either -- she suffered worse on a regular basis, nevermind on that god-forsaken island. It came with being a wielder of fire.
She would not be able to do that again for a while, her body completely incapable of throwing that kind of power around on a regular basis. But it had been worth it.
Her initial rain of terror complete, as Eris straightened she flicked her eyes over the surrounding battlefield, searching to meet Hel's eyes. She had done as she's said she'd do -- although the hunters had used their bandages to heal themselves, the psychological damage would likely be extensive. They knew they were ********, and that was not worthless. But it was Mot's gaze, and not Hel's that she found first, her eyes stilling on the prone form of the cowboy, expression completely unworried despite how Mandy seemed to be struggling with the task of freeing him. A few more seconds, waiting only until it was obvious he was trapped good, and she quickly crossed the field, the gravel crunching beneath her heels. She was a few feet away before she stopped, lifting one of her hands towards the two, fire flaring out to encompass her hand again, illuminating her still-crazed eyes.
"Move."
That was the only warning Mandy got -- there was a flash of flame, and the net had caught fire.
(My next post'll be the shockwave post!)

Oh dear Jack, she was unconscious. Colette stood by Amrita's body and mulled over what to do. She couldn't just leave her there defenseless. Briefly she considered dragging the ghoul with her. It wouldn't be a hard task if she could navigate the areas via the corridors. Fortunately, like an angel falling dead out of the sky, Johan appeared.
"Johan? Johan! Y-yes. I've got one. All three actually. Here," reaching into the side pocket of her backpack, Colette slipped Johan two Pumpkin Pills. One for himself if he desired, and one for Amrita. "I don't know how to feed an unconscious person a pill, so.. good luck. I'll go help others." With that, Colette summoned one of her corridors and prepared to leave. The shock wave from what she could tell was a very powerful attack made its way into her however, and Colette received her share of damage while entering the portal far less gracefully than she had planned.

The monster ghoul that Maddie had been taunting unleashed a massive attack. Ennéa yelped and stumbled backwards, falling on her rear. A gout of flame angrily roared over her head and Ennéa huddled down even further. She was only lightly singed but managed to avoid getting hit. Her squad mates, however, were not as lucky. "Jordan!" Ennéa shrieked. Both Madison and Jordan had received the brunt of the attack and both were looking horribly burned and messed up. Ennéa glared at Eris but then quickly turned her attention back to Jordan, fear overriding her anger. Baraz hissed and made an odd chittering sound in protest but she ignored him. "Are you okay??" She asked Jordan, somewhat unnecessarily, even she could see that he wasn't doing well. That was when the shockwave hit. Ennéa winced and scrunched her eyes closed as it whammed into her, knocking the air out of her. She groaned and shook her head trying to clear it. What the ********> Even Baraz sounded dazed.
Ennéa looked worriedly up at Jordan. If this were to continue both he and Maddie could very well die. Maddie. Ennéa bit her lip and looked worriedly over at her friend. The older hunter seemed to have things well in hand though and was healing herself with the bandaged they had been issued.
Ennéa wanted to smack herself. "The bandages!" She cried, she'd forgotten all about their supplies. She quickly dug through her own backpack and pulled out a roll. "Here, let me help you." She said, applying them with shaky hands onto Jordan. He couldn't die. She couldn't bear to watch that happen.

He turned toward the thing that had attacked him earlier and he got a better handle on his weapon as he stalked toward her. That one he attacked earlier was forgotten at the moment, "Bad Kitty." He said in a tone that showed everything but amusement at what had happened. While he shook off her attack easily enough it was still the principle that struck him as a need for punishment.
"Time for punishment," he grunted as he pushed forward with his weapon hitting her not as firmly as he would have liked but the fact remained he got contact! Fire or not, Shehk finally managed to untangle herself from the net and bundled the extra coat she'd been given around herself. If nothing else, it guarded her from the flames as she yanked herself out of the netting and stood up, moving from her previous confines before she looked away and into the entire free-for-all that was going on.
People firing down upon the other students, these..things. What were they? Who was Red fighting against? What was going on? Shehk searched the chaos for a glimpse of sense. Everything was just..pure madness.
But she needed only a moment to compose herself before she moved again...

Jordan watched with narrow-eyed satisfaction as the zombie thing crumpled to the ground. Hearing Sepheran, he began to turn, taking a breath to reply; he didn't get Ferros up to block in time, however. The blow stung, and he narrowed his eyes, readying another strike for the new attacker. To Ennea's question, he answered, "Whatever else is going on, we can protect each other. We - " Eris's voice cut through the sounds of battle like a clarion, freezing him in place with the familiarity of the tone, the words. Little reds. Kill your friends and I'll let you live. He whirled, shock and fury rising in him; the voice came from a winged girl, but it was absolutely and undeniably the voice of the demon horse that had toyed with them on the beach. It had - she - had fractured the fragile peace, forced them to make a cruel and arbitrary decision, nearly slaughtered them all. All for her own amusement. They'd been helpless. He'd been helpless, ineffective, forced to back down. Not anymore. As she rose from the tangling net, he smiled, calmly, and then charged her. The blast of flames that came roaring and coiling towards him was no surprise - she'd done it before, after all. Fire engulfed him; Ferros hissed sharply, the FEAR shield burning steadily away, letting heat singe Jordan's skin red. It hurt. Pressing forward was exhausting. He kept going. When the flame stopped, he staggered, almost falling with the sudden release of pressure. The tiredness struck him then, and he wobbled and went to one knee. Ennea arrived just in time, wrapping the worst of his burns; he looked up and smiled gratefully at her. "Thanks." He could keep fighting. He was going to keep fighting. ((holding action)) Target: - Damage: - HP: 40/40 Charge Attack: Battle Cry - The hammer's head bursts into flame, increasing damage done and potentially setting the target alight. 1/3 charged
