Ryou tensed up, a slightly chill going up his spine. Slowly he looked at her, his face flushed red.

Karuta slowly looked back up at him. Seeing his face so red actually brought a small giggle to her lips. "Y-you look as red as a rose," she commented with the soft smile, her own cheeks still a bright crimson. "Or as red as my Ace of Hearts."

Ryou smiled laying his head back down. "Yours does to. So, what do we do now?" he asked, his left arm laying out slightly.

"Well..." Karuta hesitated but eventually scooted closer to Ryou's side so she was laying on his arm slightly, but just enough so his arm was across her shoulders. "I-if you'd like, we can just lay here for a while... I mean, neither of us are on any sides of this war, so we don't have to report back to them or whatever."

Ryou nodded, gently pulling her into his side, his hand lightly on her side. "I'd like that." he said softly, closing his eyes.

Karuta's face darkened a bit into a deeper blush though she kept her soft smile. She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, listening to their surroundings but mostly to his breathing.

Ryou's breathing had slowed, almost to that of sleep. His free hand was behind his head.

Karuta smiled wider when she heard his breathing. She kissed him lightly on the cheek before curling up closer into his side, resting her head on his shoulder again as the soft rhythm of his breathing lulled her to sleep.

Ryou stayed as he was, keeping his eyes closed, gently brushing his thumb over the arch of her shoulder as she slept.

Karuta slept for a bit, maybe thirty minutes at most, before waking up. She rubbed her eyes sat up slightly, looking around to remember exactly where she was.

Ryou continued to lay as he was, having fallen asleep somewhere along the line. His left hand twitched slightly but stayed completely still after.

Karuta smiled a bit at Ryou and laid back down, resting her head on his shoulder again. She looked up at him as he slept, reaching up carefully with one hand to twirl a lock of his hair in her fingers.

Ryou shifted slightly, feeling her fingers in his hair, but he didn't say anything. He actually kind of liked it.

Karuta's eyes softened as he shifted, pausing for just a split second before continuing to run her fingers through his hair.

A smile came over Ryou's face as he opened his eyes halfway looking up at Karuta. "You seem to like touching my hair".
