STAGE 2 START!

Unable to barrel roll anymore he decided to sprint like his coat was on fire.

If it was he blamed Jericho. Somewhere along the route his coat did catch fire so he jumped off track.

He still blamed Jericho.

STAGE 1 GO!

Last time she had a go at this, she ended up soaking wet and only getting past the first stage. So hoping to get further this time, Astra went to the starting line and started to run once the signal was given.

She found the first stage to be a pretty easy run, since she had done this a fair few times before. She passed each obstacle well enough that she was able to make it to the end of stage one.

STAGE 1 GO!

He probably shouldn't have tried so early after the face flopping. But he wanted to try and be this Mr. Terror Warrior!

Yeah.

Five seconds into the platforms, Mortimer found himself once again face-planting - this time at the bottom of the gap rather than the nine foot wall far, faaaar away from here. Somehow his glasses were looking to be in better shape than he was.

STAGE 2 START!

Bea was relieved she made it through the entire stage one. Her newly bought white slip on shoes were getting all scuffed up. This was not a time to wear cute clothing. Bea should have figured this before trying the obstacle course. Now, she was looking forward to stage two to see what lies ahead.

“Here we go!” She cheered herself on and grabbed onto the chain, of the chain reaction, to swing down to the next one, and the next one until she reached the next part…The Salmon ladder was the weirdest looking thing yet. She was unsure how to even begin doing about this one. She figured it out and got to the top. Bea took the stick and glide down the rail. Bea was going faster than excepted and began to freak a bit. But she had to let go. So she did. and she fell. Onto the landing, thank Jack.

The next two were not easy, but they weren’t as challenging as the last one she was about to face. “What is this?!” Bea whined before trying to lift the walls up, first one was fine, second one was harder, and Bea struggled like a minipet under a trap in the scarefari.

Luckily, Bea lifted it just enough for her to slip by.
Stage two was complete.

STAGE 2 START!

Astra had to careful now not to let go of the chain as she slid down the first obstacle, then began the next one by lifting up the bar and placing it in the first slot, and then continued on from there, using the bar again to get through the next obstacle

After climbing across the walls and swinging across the gap, she found herself at the wall lift. pausing for a moment, she then approaching it and lifted up the first wall reasonably well. It was still amazing to her how she had progressed so far, and it made her feel giddy. Quickly she lifted up the next to walls, and then finish up stage 2

STAGE 1 GO!

Okay . . . Okay. Right. Deep breaths. The ghouls who had gone after him were doing just fine. So he'd do just fine. Ignore the pit and the spikes and the really high wall he failed on the first time.

Okay, on the count of three.

One.

Two.

. . . Two and a haaaaaaalf.

Two and three quarter-Three!

Mort ran with the speed of a gnome fleeing from the staff, somehow managing to finish the course without tripping over himself in fear.

STAGE 3 BEGIN!

Haha! She made it to the 3rd stage again! Now all she had to do was get past these obstacles, and she would have completed the course!

She was doing so well, that she became a little sidetracked as she got to the cliff hanger part of the course, and lost her hold on the bars.

And down she went for another soaking.

STAGE 2 START!

And it was that fear of getting hurt that kept the zombie going at such a fast pace, because normally he would definitely not be able to attain such a speed.

Past the chains and ziplines and ladders and walls and the climbing and more chains and . . . Wait, he managed to lift those weighst? Really?

Holy Jack, he needed to remember how to activate this superpower.

STAGE 3 BEGIN!

He was so doing it! Metal boxes? Moving by upper body strength alone? Pssssh. Finished, done, put a check on the list.

Unfortunately, Mort was a bad gauger at how much his body could take. Probably that zombie perseverance tendency. Either way, halfway through the Devil Steps, he just found himself falling back first onto the ground. His arms, which had been suspending him on the second portion, were still hanging on comically.

Three seconds later the fingers uncurled, and the pair of purple-skinned appendages smacked him in the chest.

STAGE 1 GO!

Stretching lightly as she waited for the timer to start on the first stage Mandy couldn’t resist letting a wide grin stretch over her face, this just looked so fun! Running, jumping, climbing and no fire or certain death – this was her type of obstacle course.

A loud beeping rang out then pulling Mandy from her excitement as she immediately focused, waiting for the last beep. As it faded into nothing she took off at a dead sprint, bare feet pounding against the earth that lead up to her first obstacle. Glancing quickly between the sextuple steps she felt justified in a certain amount of smugness as she jumped nimbly from the top of one to the other, really to someone who group up in tree tops this sort of thing was only too easy.

Looking at the next obstacle though Mandy felt her cockiness leave her, jumping she could do but clinging to something whilst it spun around at a dizzying pace wasn’t something she’d ever really attempted. Gingerly taking her time to make sure she was secure on the log, even as in her mind she could hear the ever present ticking of the clock, she pressed off, barley resisting the temptation to scream as the log rolled down the slope at blinding speed. Feeling her shoulders nearly yank out at the force of the knock back she quickly let go, landing harshly on the platform before scrambling up to take off again.

Speed, speed, speed. The chant pounded in her head as the trampoline for the Jumping Skitter drew closer. This was one of the challenges that worried her the most, the walls just looked so smooth and far away. She was used to being able to dig into whatever she was climbing with claws or boots, but with the plastic both of those would just be a hinderance. Shoving her worries away for later she surged forward, pushing off the trampoline with a powerful flex of her legs. For a second she felt like she was flying, a delighted laugh bubbling just under the surface, before she shoved her arms and legs out, finger and toes scraping along the walls surface. There was an awful moment where she slid, afraid she'd fall into the water ending her run, but with some frantic shifting she stopped her downward movement. Sweat trickling down her face she carefully shifted forward and up along the walls, legs and arms screaming in protest at the stretching. Finally with a grunt she dropped to the platform below, taking a moment to catch her breath.

Groaning as her tired muscles screamed at her Mandy pushed on to the Bridge of Blades, knowing she has no time to waste. Really what was with this obstacle course and things that spun? Still, no pointy bridge was going to stop her, the trick wasn't that hard, all she had to do was run across it as fast as possible before the log could get spinning properly and not stack it completely when she got back on solid ground. Both of which she pulled off without a hitch, well, er, mostly. She may have stumbled a bit on the other side.

Then she found herself approaching the other dreaded obstacle, the Warped Wall. In theory it sounded simple, just like climbing any other wall. But it was 9 feet and she was 5"2. And it was completely smooth. You do the math. Knowing that she realistically only has one attempt at this with the timer still ticking down, and probably getting awfully close to zero at this point, she made sure she had the longest run up possible. Putting on all the last bursts of speed she could find Mandy stretched her arm up as she pushed against the wall, fingers scrambling for the rim. Feeling the edge of the wall just brush against the pads of her finger tips she sunk in sharp claws, whole body straining as it was supported by just them for a brief moment before she managed to swing herself up and over.

And then the worst thing happened, still at the bottom of the Tarzan Rope without it even unhooked yet the beeping of the ten second count down started. Mandy felt justified in her swearing as she surged forward, grabbing as far up the rope as possible before swinging across and starting climbing. Come on, come on, come on. Just one more meter, just one mo-

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

"JACK!"

Thumping her fist against the wall in defeat Mandy dejectedly climbed up the remaining way so she could exit the course and retry.

So close, so close.

STAGE 1 GO!

Freya was in a much better mood! Soaking wet, and dragging along, she still managed to make it through every obstacle without a problem. By the end of the stage, however, her arms were aching terribly. No pain, no gain!

STAGE 1 GO!

The warped wall wasn't as easy this second time around, because Freya had lost her initial burst of steam. So she slid right off, falling into a faceplant instead of making it over.

STAGE 1 GO!

Junko was almost scared to try the course again after seeing Jericho get dragged off. Was he going to be okay? But..but that kind of thing was exactly why they were doing this course. To be able to perform tasks without getting hurt, or killed, or any of those things. But Freya was already on the course...

Maybe if..she just stayed behind Freya everything would be okay. She was making sure to keep a few paces behind her, enough that she could do everything without worrying about crashing into the ghoul in front of her. It wasn't until the warped wall that she got ahead of her, somehow gaining speed and just grabbing the rope. The momentum had her swinging across the gap without a second thought.

STAGE 1 GO!

THIS WAS IT. Now or never! Final countdown! The glory would be hers! She surged through every single obstacle, intent on making it through..

Then she watched Junko run right up that warped wall a second faster than her. Impressive! She still made it up, but by the time she arrived at the top, Junko was gone.

And so was the tarzan rope.

Freya did not realize the rope was not there, when she reached for it, and jumped...

SPLASH.
