Elizaveta swore something foul in Hungarian when Mexico stopped her from taking a follow up swing at Anica's head. "He tricked poor Lili into an invitation!" she accused. "Anica, that's cheating! It's low and dirty and you know it! When I get my hands on you, I'm going to--" Her threat was cut off when he grabbed her wrist. The girl's cheeks flushed as she glared at him for calling her barbaric. "I don't want to hear that from some sneaky vampire!"

Before she could continue to rant at him, Roderich was on the scene and was threatening Romania. Hungary was a bit startled by his anger and blushed softly as she quickly and instinctively tempered herself in front of him. "I'm alright, Mr. Austria... Really," she said with a mild blush at him protecting her. Elizaveta was touched he would defend her, but she was familiar with fighting her neighbor like this. Her rivalry with Romania had been going on for longer than she could remember just like this. In some ways, him dropping by her place just so they could take shots at each other was routine.

Hungary prepared to make another series of allegations against Romania, but hesitated when he told Roderich he wanted to keep them from getting closer. What was that about? Did he really hate her that much? Anica had already taken a lot of land from her and now he wanted to ruin her relationship with Roderich! Her green eyes narrowed wondering what his game was. Elizaveta saw the kiss coming but didn't bother to even try dodging even though it made her burn with resentment. She knew his kiss was filled with hate and merely frowned in response as he left.

Elizaveta just couldn't understand what went through that man's head. Why was he so obsessed with causing trouble for her? "I'm ok now, Maria," she said after a moment and gently pulled away from the Mexican. "Sorry I lost my temper... but you don't need to worry about fighting with him for my sake. We've been doing these things to each other since I can remember..."

Well, there had been a time when they had gotten along, right? It was hard to remember a time like that, but she was pretty sure at one point Hungary honestly considered Romania a dear friend. What happened to them?

"There's nothing I can do about it," Hungary said with a soft sigh as she looked back at Roderich and offered him a faint smile in return. "I-I understand... You're still recovering so you should get some rest anyway," she forced herself to say. "I wouldn't want him being there to stress you out. I'm sure it will be chaotic enough as it is." She folded her hands behind her back and clenched a fist as Austria went to the door, but kept smiling. "I hope you feel better!"

Proposal? Hungary blinked at the term for a moment before chuckling softly. Roderich was always speaking so formally that she didn't think twice about any alternate meanings behind it. That was one of the things she found so charming about him, after all. Unlike that idiot Prussia or the fake gentleman vampire his proper etiquette and aristocratic air was all natural. Him saying proposal had no greater significance to her than him saying suggestion since it was just the way he spoke most of the time.

"Yes, I will hear out your proposal later," Elizaveta said trying to act more proper herself in front of him again. If only the tomboy realized just what kind of proposal he had in mind. "I'm sure Lili will understand about you not coming. We've all been worried about your health and she wouldn't want you to push yourself for her sake. She's such a sweet and sensitive girl..."
