Essence blinked as he walked into his father's pride. He could tell somehting was wrong. He looked around, where was the leader...or the others. He sighed and looked around walking slowly. "I....think something is very wrong..." he looked around again, "Someone should be greeting us." He moved closer to his friend ready to protect her.

Kichea rose from where she sat, and paced over the the edge of the rocks. A familiar scent was in the air. She surveyed the savannah and roared, loud and welcoming. Her son was home. A now rare smile graced her face as she walked down to greet him. "Essence..." She called out happily. At least one member of her family was still around... Where had her silver king dissapeared to?

Aislinn was a bit wary as she moved into the pride's lands, though was set to some level of ease by Essence's prescence. No one was about to come flying out and demand she stay. Nothing bad was going to happen.
Of course, being mostly unfamiliar with the inner workings of prides herself, she'd have hardly realized anything were wrong if Essence hadn't said otherwise. "Are you sure?, " she asked quietly. "Could they just be busy or -- " Wait! There was a roar! Aislinn flashed her companion a small smile, but fell silent as the lioness approached. It seemed like she knew him; better not to go bursting in on any reunions.

Essence far from being a cub reguarded his mother with little emotion. He only knew she was his mother by a familar smell engraved into his brain when he was a cub. He bowed his head, "Hello mother. I am alittle surprised to see you so far on the edge of your mate's pride." He spoke slow and with little emotions when reguarding his family.

Kichea sighed, showing he fatigue. "I have not seen Akin for many moons now... I fear the worst has befallen him..." She looked behind her where she had left Casai on the ridge. "He went out with Nasseken... and they have not returned..."

Essence did not know who Nasseken was he hardly even knew how his mother was. "I see...well I am sorry for your loss...I hope he one day returns safly." He sighed....he never knew what to say to the pride he always veiwed himself an outcast in.

Kichea sighed, "As do I." She attempted to smile, and turned her attention to her son, and the female he had brought to her. "What brings you here, dear son?" She asked out of curiosity, for her mismatched son had branded himself an outcast before he knew how to walk. "Have you decided to return to us--me?" she forced the correction on herself, wondering if ever her mate would return.

Aislinn sat in silence, knowing full-well Essence's reasons. It simply wasn't her place to speak for him. She did keep a wary eye on the lioness. Though Essence hadn't spoken of her as much as he had his father, and he seemed to be handling himself just in her prescence so far, she was still ready to provide support if (and when) it was needed.

Essence looked away from his mother, he did not like her attension. He never liked the 'judging' eyes of his parents. He saw the look to Aislinn and took a breath, "this is my good friend Aislinn...Aislinn this is my mother. I came back becuase of something your mate and I talked a bout a long time ago...."

Kichea smiled at Aislinn, "Hello. I am Kichea, Essence's mother...." Kichea then looked at him curiously. Had Akin talked to Essence without telling her? "What had Akin said?" She honestly had no idea.
