ﻬ Horatio ﻬ ▫ ▪Altiplos Warrior▪ ▫ Horatio tried striking at the Paladin with his hammer, but he ended up missing the fast horse-rider. He muttered a curse, gripping his massive weapon with both hands. "It would be really handy right now if I knew how to use a sword, then I could best that weapon of his!" Horatio thought as he poised to strike once more.
Off the corner of his eye though, he saw his new ally coming under attack. Now that he got a better look at her and the wyvern, he noticed the sky rider's mount was injured. He wouldn't last against that sword if it hit. Using both hands to swing his weapon now, Horatio brought his hammer down on the sword-wielding cavalier. ⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ My hammer forges new hope, My bow strikes for glory. May I bring you both, My liege, my country!

(I hope you guys didn't miss me. School can be oh so absorbing)
Maybe it had to do with her mother being a mage... but Chince had odd dreams from time to time. Over and over, just the last few seconds before her hit that took her down. Reliving the pain a thousand times a second. It was enough to drive a sane girl mad... and she was a ways off sane to begin with. She knew one thing though. She had to break free. A simple realization was all it took. The flinging insults, the clash of metal on armor, the heavy pounding of feet and flapping of wings. All of these sounds woke her up.
It was a bit dark still. She was down on the ground. Her arm was broken. She was having a lot of difficulty getting up. Her mind was numb. She didn't know which arm was broken because they both hurt and weren't supporting her. Someone was nearby. He didn't loook too happy she was alive. He prepared an attack. An archer maybe? As he released, she rolled, out of the way. Her legs were resting on her sword, and with a brief moment of fumbling she managed to pick it up and whip it side ways smacking the man in the knee with the edge of her blade. A neat trick someone must have taught her, shame she couldn't remember them.
It didn't cut but he was probably in about as much pain as she was. And now they were both disarmed and immobile.

Dietrich wandered into the storeroom, wiping blood off his face and dropping the nearly broken steel axe with which he had been recklessly hacking at a large armored fellow.
It was serviceable.
But it wasn't his.
Dietrich's axe-- his father's axe-- was hard to miss. Long shaft, elegantly wrapped handle, silver speartip, dark steel counterweight, and a gleaming silver blade, so sharp it could carve bone and leave the marrow.
His hand wrapped slowly around the grip; it was familiar, comforting. He grinned, taking it up and slinging it over his shoulder.
"Much better," he rumbled, strolling out of the storeroom like a new man. A new man who was still shaking occasionally and still hungry as hell, and still mad as razorburnt balls.
So he really didn't care too much about a wall of men with big shields. Or kings with haughty orders. ******** it all, he said, but not out loud, except maybe a little out loud, in a sort of guttural shout as he shouldered straight into one shield, knocking its wielder on his a**, then swung his axe around toward the one on his left, feeling it first crush, and on the second rapid swing, break, and the sight of blood bubbling up through broken steel, to slake the thirst of his weapon.
"Bread an' water," he muttered, hauling the axe out of the man's back and stomping on the helmet of his fallen friend, who was trying to get up, then brought his axe down, pressing the tip to his neck, then raised it slowly.
"Bread an' water. Gonna have ********' lobster when I get home." The axe came down. The floor turned red.

 "It's not in here..."
The cleric muttered to herself, disappointment reflecting in her features. Her staves were the only thing standing between the being a burden and actually contributing to the cause of this rag-tag group. If it wasn't in the armory...Then it would have to be in another storage room! Already a cluster had accumulated near the exit, trying to keep them from escaping and regrouping. Thankfully there was one last storage room to check before she would have to wade through the chaos, but it was by the skin of her teeth. It was just a matter of sticking close to the walls and try to slip during the confusion.
"Oh, exc-"
Rin began by habit as she bumped into a man exiting the storage room, tensing up the moment that she took notice of his expression. However, the little cleric was the last thing on his mind as he proceeded to just continue walking...And proceeded to "******** s**t up" as it could be put. Once again, she just quieted a small "yipe!" as she snuck in while the chaos escalated.
"...There! One last shining container of hope!"
The girl certainly had her cheesy moments, but the way her face lit up was something to behold as she retrieved both her staves from the chest. The Silence staff was slung over her shoulder as she slipped on the holster, her main firmly gripped in preparation. Already there were people to treat, though it was a bit of a risk to get to them.
This was it.
Breath in...Breath out. Remember what you were trained for. This was just another day, another conflict to brace through.
At least that was what she told herself as her heartbeat escalated, jumping off and into the fray to treat the wounded. "I'll try to keep behind you!"

xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
Mihira intercepted the paladin's axereaver with her own lance and kept it from sinking into Darius' flesh, so that it only scraped against the outer scales. It took a lot of strength to keep the weapon from piercing, but she managed it somehow. Mihira kept her eyes on the paladin as he was circling back towards the warrior, but then she remembered that there was still another cavalier. She turned around to see him coming and was about to try and intercept him, when the Estarcian suddenly took out the sword cavalier... or wasn't he wielding an axe? It didn't matter, he was dead! But that still left the paladin to deal with. Mihira was no match on her own, and the Estarcian was having a hard time dealing with the weapon that was specifically designed to deal with his own weapon type. But maybe together...?
"Darius, roar!" Mihira moved the wyvern's head towards the paladin and then it let out a fearsome shout towards the rider. Her hope was that even if the rider was startled, the horse would be, and that could give the Estarcian an opening.

Arajudia Prison
"Ow, you little-!!" The pinned knight growled at the cat laguz and now that he was able to overcome the boy, he began to shove the two bodies on top of him. Through the shoving and squirming, the dead knight's corpse rolled off to the side, allowing the knight on bottom to lean up, reach back and slug the laguz in the face to get the thing off of him. He then picked up his shield and protected himself from the bowman (not paying attention to the monk behind him at all) as he reached for a lance so that he could charge at the cat and finish him when he was untransformed.
The other knights blocking the barrier were being bombarded on all sides. The unexpected regrouping of the prisoners had thrown them into utter distress. Magic, arrows and a very pissed off axeman had already felled several of them and there were still others coming. Since the axeman was already upon them though, he took the most attention. The closest knight held up his shield to protect against the axe and then jabbed his lance straight at the man.
Really, they were beginning to realized that they were doomed. All that was needed was for everyone to keep up their attacks and then the barrier would be free to attack.
(Just to clear up confusion, the area you're in was set up like this. Actual enemy numbers can vary, and some have already been killed. I just want to make it painfully clear that the knights are in front of the barrier and the dark mages are behind it. While the barrier is up, the dark mages cannot attack you nor can you attack them. That's why it's a barrier. The druid is Chama.)
Outside Arajudia Prison
Tanner's eyes widened when the weapon suddenly split. "What in the hell kind of sword-!" As the other half was being swung, he quickly crouched, avoiding a fatal slash, but allowing the blade to cut into the arm that was still holding up his lance to block one of the swords. "Gyack!" Without giving the blind man time to asses the results of his attack, Tanner moved through the pain and swung the bottom of his lance into Quentin's side. He then stood up and kicked the blind man in the gut to get him away. This was of course not without receiving a cut as the swords went sailing passed Tanner's face.
The sergeant gritted his teeth as he felt his cheek. Holding up his hand, he could see the blood on it and snarled. With the blind man hopefully still disoriented or even on the ground, Tanner charged towards him and leaped, thrusting the blade on his lance downward at him.
The archer held his leg and wailed on the ground. "My leg!" he whined. "My leeeeg!!" He then sat up and began to rock back and forth. "Aaaaah!" He breathed in through his teeth. "Aaaaah!" He breathed in again. "...Aaaaah!" With eyes watering, he grabbed an arrow and then looked at Chince. "What's the big idea!? I'm just doing my job! That HURT, you meanie! I'll show you!" He then began to very, very slowly pull himself over to her. "Yeah, just you wait...!" He pulled himself more, little by little. "... ...When I get over there... you are SO dead!" He took a break a breathed heavily before continuing on. "...You MEANIE!"
As the paladin approached, the roar of the wyvern did indeed have an effect. The horse neighed loudly as it kicked up and knocked the rider completely off. The paladin groaned and then quickly reached for the axereaver, hoping to get it before the warrior got to him.

Everything over on this corner was clear for the time being. Venetia did her best to back-up anybody who needed it and while she was only one person, she surely was not the only person helping. Thankfully the other soldiers had gotten up on their feet to help the rest. They regrouped with a few other people in the cell, that cleric, the axe user, druid..and some other people she can't really list off the top of her head. But judging by the looks, everybody who was captured and released were all here, including the ones who are incredibly weak. Not many people had the energy to keep fighting but that didn't stop them from doing so anyways. There was something about this...king that the myrmidon had ever so pointed out. However it didn't seem like the other Estarcian soldiers heard her refer to him as 'your majesty'. Perhaps it was for the best right now.
In her left hand was the Elwind tome that she had recovered, it remained open until their path was clear.
She remained in the back for the time being..at least..that was until that Cat Laguz earlier suddenly reverted back to his human form. Venetia couldn't tell whether he was incredibly stupid or just......well...there was no other way for the sage to really describe that laguz..however for the time being, she dashed to the front, reciting a quick and easy chant, aiming straight at the armored knight that was coming to the now helpless laguz. It was enough to stop him in his tracks for the time being, giving her just enough time to actually pull the idiot to the back.
"You're really stupid, did you know that?" Stating the obvious a bit, but seriously...what kind of Laguz would just...run in head first, not realizing that his/her energy is running out and they suddenly revert back right before the finishing blow. That's suicide waiting to happen. Not that she was in a better position right now. Venetia, slowly started to back up. She looked down at the laguz and pulled him to his feet. "Get up" she demanded "You'll just be in the way, stupid. Move to the back to recover." Little blunt but hey, Venetia's a bit straightforward when dealing with an actual person...Not that she's actually socialized with anybody else other then her mother...but you get the point.

Before he walked into the door, the one man who had freed him ran in first and went for the closest chest. He looked at the next closest one and though, "might as well go for this one," until a voice called out to him. By the time he turned his head a book was already flying at him and be barely managed to catch it. He stared at the book for a moment as it was in his hands. A very twisted smile began to appear on his face as he flipped through the pages. "This is where the true fun begins," he whispered to himself as he slammed the book shut in satisfaction.
The same man suddenly began yelling orders and taking charge around the place getting the soldiers together and armed up. Normally he does not like taking orders from people, but this was an exception due to the fact this will make things easier for them to get out. Soon enough, the group was moving forward once again.
Eventually the reached the exit that'll get them out of the prison. Unfortunately, it was heavily guarded by the enemy. However, Kione wasn't complaining as it just meant more bloodshed. It was time. Kione walked closer to the skirmish as he opened up his summoning tome. "Let all Hell ******* break loose!" he laughed as he activated his summoning tome. Suddenly small magic circles appeared on the ground through the skirmish. Slowly, skeleton warriors began to crawl out from the ground where the magic circles were. A total of ten skeletons stood in the midst of the fight and started moving their jaws up and down making clacking noises as they awaited orders from the one who summoned them.
Kione slammed the book closed and pointed at the knights that were blocking the path to the barrier and dark mages. "Take them down!" he ordered. The skeleton warriors ignored all the Learanian soldiers and everyone else fighting against the Knights and simply focused on the giant armored foes. They wouldn't be able to do much damage, but they did enough to distract the knights allowing the other soldiers to make the killing blows as the skeleton warriors tried attacking the knights with their swords. Kione breathed in and let out a sigh of satisfaction as he switched tomes. "No. *******. Mercy."

Chince looked up at the annoying noise berating her. That damn archer. Anyone could have noticed she wasn't any more harm if left unprovoked.
"You think I'm the meanie? You think I'm the meanie!" She started army crawling with her left arm, the one that wasn't broken, closing the distance between them even faster. She did have her own advantage. She had been one of the best fencers in her town as a child, but that didn't bode well for her out of the hall. Though unofficial, she also considered herself to be the best playground fist fighter in town as well. It's just a ball of the fist, a pull back, and asserting yourself. "Shooting someone when they're down, no less shooting a girl! You're the real meanie here!" And using her right elbow to prop her up, she asserted her knuckles into his jaw. His hand went lax and he dropped the arrow. Another punch to the face ensured he would stay down. she crawled over carefully and collected her sword. She needed a wall to prop herself up.

Ziaram You may call me useless for the fact that I am learning swordsmanship with my left arm The others from their group were on the attack, and they even managed to have more reinforcements than he expected. Things were moving well. He drew his sword and was ready to charge when he felt someone tug on his sleeve, catching his attention. "Oh Lena. I almost forgot about you." He said, looking on over to the group. They were handling things fine at the moment, so he sat back for now.
"It's good that you are here. We don't have another healer among us, so you can stay back and..." He started saying, then shook his head. "On second thought, we need these knights to be taken care of right now. You can use that tome of yours to do some nasty damage to them." He finished, looking back to them. She nodded to him, and opened her tome moving behind him.
When they got closer, he realized there were some odd soldiers fighting the knights. Some sort of black magic at work here? He thought before charging a knight that was distracted, slashing at his open tendons, forcing him to drop his weapon and spinning out of the way as light magic shot down from Lena. He smiled as he watched the knight burn through his armor. "Looks like there will be something nice going on. These knights will fall easily." I say that this is just another challenge for me to overcome while my arm is recovering

"I cannot bear to watch others come to harm... Lena looked into Ziaram's eyes and felt a bit more at ease. She felt a bit guilty at his comment of forgetting about her, though. If she had done so little to make an impression on the man than she must not be doing her part, and that made her wince slightly. Now he gave her a specific order, and she would do all she can to help him and her companions.
Lena nodded to Ziaram and cast a spell to the knights. A body fell limp to the ground, and she frowned. Healing always made her feel better than harming, but war and fighting always came at a price. She continued to use her Shine, carefully to not damage the spellbook or miss. After every body she saw that looked defeated she murmured a short prayer for the damned solders.
"They are a sad lot of beings," the redhead said to her companion. "I... I hate this battle. They bring me nothing but dark feelings. It's inhumane to fight like this!" she bitterly exclaimed with another attack hitting it's mark with a critical.
... knowing I have the power to help."

Quentin gritted his teeth at the hit against his side. The wooden feeling of a lance's handle was not very pleasurable. He didn't have time to react to it, but it did make him ready himself in preparation for further attacks. So when the kick from Tanner made contact, Quentin followed the direction of impact and flung himself backwards, gaining some distance between the two of them as well as minimizing the damage.
Mid-air, Quentin stabbed one of his swords into the ground, and used the momentum from throwing himself to swing around the handle, landing safely on the ground. As Tanner was already at him again, the blind man had no time to pull up his stuck sword, and instead opted to charge up close towards Tanner again. After all, a lance lost most of its' advantages when things got too close. Quentin just hoped he could find his stuck sword again later.

Arajudia Prison
The knights fought valiantly against those that came at them. They eventually tore through the summons and some of the soldiers, but they were dropping fast. The moment they blocked one attack, another would suddenly get them. Light magic seemed to surround them, purging them. With so many prisoners having their weapons back, they didn't last too long.
Shouts and cheering could be heard coming from the back of the prison. The Learanian soldiers that had gone below were successful in defeating the guards and freeing everyone down there. Soon, the prison would be even more flooded with escapees.
As the final burst of light magic flew, it collided with the now unguarded barrier. A crack formed. The dark mages behind the barrier grew nervous. With all their strength combined in holding the barrier, they could repel a group of them.. but not if the prisoners all attacked together.
Outside Arajudia Prison
As the blind man suddenly charged, Tanner's lance missed and hit the stone. As the sword was coming at him, he used the shield that was strapped on the outside of his left arm to block it and shove it away. He was too close to strike with the tip of the lance anymore, so instead Tanner raised his lance back up and tried to swing it into the side of the blind man's head. After he made the swing, he jumped back and then quickly thrust the tip towards his enemy's gut. The rising aggression in his shout was sufficient in showing that an attack was coming.

{I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. School eats you alive, and it's really hard to keep up sometimes. o-o I read up on the last two pages, so hopefully I can contribute a post, but please tell me if there's something I missed or need to fix, kay?}
The fighting was really starting to reach a whole new level of fierceness... And Mia was having the effin' time of her life. One slash here, a swipe there, fancy swordplay with another lowlife right after- people were falling left and right.... But they were just the small fry, and although the swordsman was enjoying herself, she was wasting her energy when her comrades were bombarding the enemy's main force.... Besides, these guards were mostly injured or inexperienced or both, and they didn't provide a challenge. In fact- Mia didn't even have the heart to kill the majority of them- they were just so young and clumsy, it seemed silly to have them on the battlefield.... No, it was about time she headed off and met up with the others.
And so, sword at the ready and smile painted on her bright face, Mia set off towards the front lines... It was a slow process- the closer she moved to where the majority of her comrades had gathered, the stronger the enemy became... And she was already a bit worn out from the previous battle... So she decided to slow down and pace herself, so she wouldn't be utterly exhausted and become a burden once she finally did reach the others.... And so the fighting continued.
"Get outta my way you tiny fries you!" She hollered above the din, "You're so scrawny I bed you'd taste just as good with ketchup!" The shouting didn't really do much to stop the enemy from coming, but it did startle them at least- it was probably the first time they'd ever been threatened to be eaten with ketchup.... Not that Mia was a cannibal... but all that talk about food reminded her she was pretty hungry.... Well, the fastest way to get food was to get this battle over with, right? And there'd be lots of fun clashing and trashing along the way!
She burst out onto the scene, finally seeing some familiar faces amongst the enemy's numbers, and some new ones to boot- they were backing the familiar faces up, so they had to be comrades.... Which meant she was in the right place.
With a happy yip, Mia jumped back into the fray, doing her best to help out the people who were more worn out than her.
{Because apparently Mia knows what fries are.... they're medieval fries XD
hopefully that works!}
