It was like the tiny ball was taunting her. She looked down as she started to fall, reaching out instinctively for the broom instead of the snitch. Her fingers wrapped around the wood and she pulled herself up so she wasn't dangling over thin air. When she was finally on the broom again she had lost sight of the golden ball. "Curses!" She muttered. She began searching for the snitch once again. Spoting the snitch once had increased her confidence. Even if she hadn't actually caught the snitch. The try out had already been a learning experience for her. She would need to work on her balance skills if she didn't want to lose the snitch like that again. Elli had tryed out for the Gryffindor team yesterday and made it as their new keeper. Ver had to make the team too so she could compete against her sister. She closed her eyes, focusing her mind. When she opened them her sight was sharper. She circled, looking for the tiny detail that would give away the snitch's hiding place. Flying she felt free, and confident. It was amazing what put a broom and a a lot of empty air between you and the ground could do to a girl. She felt confident and just really amazing. It was the reason she flew. And the adrenaline of the sudden dives twists and turns she took, not to mention the drops and falls she often found herself in while trying to catch the snitch. Her grey eyes continued to watch and wait for the tiny ball to appear. It was probably hiding in some pesky little spot just waiting to mess with her. She remembered one game with her family where the snitch had hovered right behind her head and every time she'd turn thinking she'd heard it, it would follow, staying just out of eyesight. She'd got the best of it back then though by staying extra still and darting her hand up behind her to grab it. She smiled at the memory.
