((HOLY! Sorry -_- *sooo busy irl* and so BEHIND! okay if it's not too late, I'm shoving Livi in. Jareth an hang back and play his gameboy lol minipet acct: Livus, cause I forgot the other 'i' lol )) Livi was sensing a trend with these so called field trips. First off, they were odd, never told you where you were heading or why and then there were long stretches of interesting things and then... crashing and burning in some way, shape, fashion or form. This was really not the best way to plan trips. The island was... he wasn't sure what to think of it, other than thinking it a massive pain in the rear. But all these thoughts came after he came to, really, and after shaking his head a lot to clear his head and get out of the water, he stood and looked around. Seems the other students had all arrived there as well. Interesting... Wait... if everyone was there... finding his phone, and realizing that it wasn't as damaged as he feared, he shot a text to Carry, wanting to know where she was. If she was safe and where he could find her. He had wished they had been paired on the ship together, as he had been concerned about her. Though she did have LW as company, it still wasn't the same. Ignoring the fact that his hair was flat and boring looking, he headed towards the first thing he noticed; a tent of some sort. Some students were there picking things up, a pack and a weapon of some kind. Best to follow with the rest, so he headed in and grabbed a pack and a blunt mace. Not very good looking but he had learned from the last trip. It didn't matter what it looked like as long as it did some damage. Hopefully, he'd do decently... last thing he wanted to do was embarrass Carry and make her think she had picked a weakling as her boilfriend. Once he left, he glanced about some more, running a hand through his hair a few times so it wasn't in his eyes. "Where to first..." Hopefully, his friends would be all right... It took some thought and pondering before he decided to go to the cornfields, having no idea if it would be where any of his friends were but he couldn't stay at the beach forever. What if Carry needed him? He had to be there to protect her.. if he could at all. ((EDITED to put where he's going))

Well, after watching various students disappear into the fog towards unknown destinations, Johan was still uncertain what action he should take. From the bits of conversation that had come to him in the eerie fog acoustics, he'd learned that they were under attack, though intermittently, by reapers of some sort.
As he was mulling this over, a decidedly loud wail came from somewhere over to his left, and Johan started, staring wildly in that direction. Food? Whoever Claire was, why in Jack's name was she calling for food at a time like this? Though she did bring up a good point. Would they be able to find food in this place? Johan had brought some with him on the ship, but his pack was lost to the waves. He made a quick check of his robe, however, and discovered a package of tea spookies that had gotten caught in a fold. They were hopelessly crumbled, but the package was made of foil, and the crumbles sounded dry.
Moved by a sense of pity for the ghoul, who was obviously frightened, Johan stumbled out into the fog in the direction of her voice.
"Hello?" he called, unable to make out anything but vague dark shapes in this hazy place.

[[ I know it's not technically my "turn," but I'm moving Ren out of here so he can go meet up with his friends. :3 ]]
Going back to Yaya, Ren knelt down beside the ghoul again. He reached out a hand, fingers pressing lightly against her temple, moving down to her chin to tilt her face towards his to see it better.
"Hmmmm...." said Ren, scrutinizing her pale skin. "You're not in shock, at least, but you're a little sweaty, and you're feeling a little hot." Dropping his hand, Ren moved back, smiling at the ghoul. "Best to just lie still and not move, okay? Don't try to get up; just rest."
There was a loud crash and a showering of sparks littered the ground. Ren ducked, automatically throwing his arms over the nearest person; or rather, people. Two little people, actually, Jove and a small kitsune ghoul next to him that Ren did not know, had never even seen before.
"Hello," he said cheerfully down to her. "The name's Ren. A pleasure to meet you, darling, though I'm afraid these are less than pleasant circumstances."
Once the sparking had stopped, Ren moved his arms away from the two, glancing around the encampment. A few yards away the portal was smoking, a curling grey steam twisting and undulating up into the air. It made Ren's stomach churn uncomfortably; what was going on?
His heart felt sick. Where were Gabrian and LW and Alessa? Though it was still difficult to keep track of time, it seemed like quite a long time since he had seen any of them. It was making him quite on edge; his nerves felt frayed. No, he thought, casting a wary look at the students around him. No, I can't stay here. I need to find out where the others are. If they're okay.
If they're still alive.
But Jove...Ren glanced at the smaller boil, biting his lip. It was obvious just how worried the puppy was about Yaya and Junko, and he couldn't drag him with him on a wild goose chase to find the others. That boil, the one who was holding Junko in his lap; he seemed very capable. What had he said his name was? Seiji? Ren moved over to his side, leaning down.
"Hey, it's Seiji, right?" he asked. "Listen, I have to go...find some people important to me, but...but I know Jove wants to stay and make sure you guys are okay, so...so can you guys take care of him? I know he's attached to you, and he'll be safe with you."

While at the moment Junko could care less if West had done so she was quite surprised he didn't fight back against what She had so rudely said to him. Good, good. That made her life less miserable. She frowned when she noticed she'd scared poor Tomoko and Jove, however. "I'm sorry." She said quietly to them, petting the ball of stars on her lap. Tomoko liked this right? And she was always holding on to it... Junko held it out to the small kitsune ghoul. "Thank you, Tomoko. Would you like it ba--wh-what?" Wide eyes settled on Jove as he...did he just talk to her?! He did! He spoke to her! She'd never heard him actually speak before! The ghoul pursed her lips, smiling anyway despite that, and tried desperately not to start crying again. "Th-thank you, Jove." She managed to get out, sniffling again. They were making it impossible for her to stay upset despite her having every right to! Guuuuuuuuuys!
She squeaked and jumped a little on Seiji's lap when Ren suddenly came and spoke to her as well, nodding a little to the gryphon. Physically she was alright, she supposed. It was going to take months for her hair to grow back though...sigh. She waved to the boil she was being introduced to as Seiji said her name, curling up on his lap again. "Hello, it's nice to meet you." She hoped he wasn't upset for her trying to hide from him before. It honestly wasn't anything personal. At least she was feeling better now? Yaya's hand took hers and squeezed it, and she did the same back for her as well. She looked so hurt. What had Ren been doing to her? "Are you okay, Yaya?" She rubbed the back of her friend's hand with her thumb, squeezing it again. Here she was crying over her hair, though she felt she had every right to, and Yaya was taking a broken ankle so well. Mmf. She was being pathetic. She tried not to frown at that, knowing that if she frowned right this second she'd start crying again at how pitiful she was being. You'd think she'd been broken by The Mistress or something! Did this injury mean she couldn't leave this spot though? That...sounded quite nice, actually! Or it would if Junko hadn't already gotten her hair chopped off. Now all she wanted to do was hide.
...Someone else was coming. Another ghoul. Nooooo, no. Junko didn't want more people to see her this way. "Seiji? Can we go now? I'm feeling a lot better." She whispered to him, frowning up at the ghost boil. She didn't want more people to see her with her hair this short. Ren came over again and she went quiet, looking back toward Jove as the gryphon boil spoke of them taking the little ghost pup with them. "I don't mind Jove and Tomoko coming with us if they want to." They had been trying so hard to cheer her up, she knew neither of them would make fun of her for her short hair. But ultimately it was up to them, right?

West's attention was grabbed by voices in the fog. The male's he had never heard, but the ghoul... Yes, that was Claire, from what he could tell, and the gryphon's response seemed to cement that. Unable to stand being clung to for much longer, West began to fidget, then removed his hands from Yaya completely as there was a crash in the distance. It seemed everyone around here had the right idea.
"I gotta go," he said unapologetically. Something was going on and as comfortable as things seemed around here a few minutes before, well, they had changed. "I know y'can't walk but d'y'wanna hide?" he asked the ghoul.

Seiji
Slow as things seemed to have been a moment before, they appeared to be speeding up again. The appearance of a few new people could very well have had something to do with it. Seiji didn't mind really, he glanced down at Junko when she frowned up at him, murmuring her desire to move on. While he believed they were safer here, it was almost impossible saying now to her. "Ya, we can go. Let's just make sure Yaya will be alright."
He turned to do just that, watching as West began to disentangle himself from the djinn, then found himself face to face with the gryphon boil. "Ya, that's right," he smiled, clearly pleased the other had been paying attention. "Sure, we'll be happy to have him." He didn't say it, seeing as the pup had a tendency to glower when it was hinted at he needed looking after, but Seiji would be doing just that. "I hope you find your friends."
Now with that handled he finally turned to Yaya, leaning so he could pat her on the shoulder. "You stay by the fire, alright. If we run into Sharra we'll let him know you're okay." He coupled his words with a reassuring smile, then got to his feet, setting Junko down beside him so she could say good bye to their friend as well.
"You two are with us then. Maybe we can find that runt, too?" He offered a hand down to Tomoko and Jove each to help them to their feet. "What was his name, Elaphe?"
+++++++++++++
Yaya
The djinn actually smiled when Ren touched her face again, tilting hr head this way and that to look her over thoroughly. He was gentle, and his fingers were cool to the touch, it really did feel good. Very soothing. "I will stay right here, scouts honor." Features pinched, half amused, then smoothed again. "Thank you."
The sparks, while mildly alarming, didn't come anywhere near them so Yaya offered them only a worried little frown before West's moving about called for her immediate attention. She knew he had to go, the more people out exploring the sooner they'd find something and they could go home, but still.. She didn't really want to be alone. "I know, be careful." Sighing, she let him go so he could stand back up, then shook her head. "No, I'll freeze out there. Besides, they set up base here for a reason, it's probably safe." She smiled up at him and gave his shin a pat. "Go ahead and go. Find who ever is behind all this and kick their a** for me, alright?"
Looking up at Junko, Yaya gave her hand a tug so she'd kneel, then wrapped her in a tight hug. "You be safe, stay with Seiji." She gave her a last squeeze before drawing back and giving the ghoul a nudge. "I'll be okay here."
There were voices out in the mist, faint at first, but she could recognize them now. One was Claire, Barth's sister, the other was unmistakably laced with a strong accent. She knew that voice. "Johan!"

Yes, Junko wouldn't be leaving Yaya until she knew she was okay. She wanted to leave and get away from everyone but she couldn't just carelessly ditch Yaya. She'd never do something like that. As she was settled down beside her friend she needed no help getting down on her knees to hug her friend, putting her head on the marid's shoulder and nuzzling at her. "You be safe too, okay? I'm sorry..I'd stay but..." Junko frowned and looked around at all the students gathered around. Too many people. She was usually more than fine with socializing but right now she wanted to hide. For now she'd be grateful for the fog to hide her. She nodded at Yaya's words and smiled a little. "I will. Later, Yaya." She returned the affectionate squeeze and stood as she was nudged away, returning to Seiji's side and immediately holding his hand. That would be her source of comfort now.
"I wonder where he went off to..." He'd yelled at her but the intent to comfort was there...er...right? She hoped so, anyway.

Johan had been slowly aware of other voices in the fog, talking quietly, and assumed there was another group of students close by. Hearing his name drew him to a halt. That voice...
"Haddiya?" he called back, and started moving towards her voice. While he wasn't thrilled that the touchy demoness was the first acquaintance he would find on this island, he preferred interacting with someone who wasn't a complete stranger. And he very much wanted to know what was going on. First, though, he had to find her.
"Marco?"

Ren gave a grateful nod to Seiji, reaching out to clap a friendly hand to the boil's shoulder. "I appreciate it a lot," he said, relief covering his face before a vaguely pained smile appeared. "Watch him closely, okay?" he asked, slightly weakly, one hand pressing tightly against his stomach, as if he were trying to resist the urge to grab Jove and just carry him with him the entire time. It really was hard to leave the boil here; Ren would not be able to keep the worry from twisting his stomach, not until they were all safe back at Amityville, back in the dorms, and back to getting midnight cookie visits from Jove. "And thank you. Really."
Done talking with the boil, Ren moved over to the puppy now. He gently but firmly tugged him away from the kitsune ghoul so he could speak with him alone, putting both of his hands on Jove's shoulders.
"You'll be okay, I know you will," Ren said to him, trying to get a smile out, but not entirely making it. He let himself reach up a hand to pat Jove's cheek affectionately, stubbornly ignoring the way his fingers stupidly shook. "I expect to see you soon, all in one piece, okay?"
He looked at Jove for a moment, biting his lip, as if internally wrestling with himself, and then ducked his head, kissing the puppy's forehead quickly, ruffling Jove's fluffy hair. Then he let go, sensing that if he didn't do it now, he'd never let go, and with a quick wave and a (hopefully) cheerful smile, Ren set off to find the others.

"If there're asses t'be kicked, I'ma kick'em," he replied with a terse nod. West quickly scooped up his bat and knapsack and headed back into the fog. As she had said, the marid would be safe by the fire with this Johan boil she was shouting for, and the less of that ghouly Junko and Yaya crap he had to witness, the better. Time to find Holly and get the hell out of here.

It wasn't -her- fault she was clingy! Or so she'd like to deny, anyways. The kitsune frowned, putting her other hand over the one Jove was stroking over hers, but releasing her slight-death-grip. The deathgrip came standard with her. In order to hold onto her ball-of-stars like the super-precious-hold-over-her-head-object it was. Ohhh if it fell into the wrong hands she'd panic.
And cry.
And freak out.
And cry.
It was a vicious cycle. Tomoko sighed a bit as she stood, ears perking up, then drooping, then perking up again. However, it seemed Junko was feeling better.. which made her feel good about herself. Her ball of stars was helping! Even if it wasn't the exact cause for any 'happiness' being caused. At least the kitsune hadn't had to do anything dramatic.
"I don't remember him saying his name.." Tomoko replied, before looking to Junko. "May I have my ball-of-stars back?" she inquired, looking rather hopeful that the futakuchi-onna wouldn't just run away with it. Ohhh that would be bad.

Jove scrubbed at his forehead with the back of one hand as though wiping off the kiss, but he couldn't hold back a little whimper as Ren left. The gryphon would be okay, wouldn't he? The pup's ears slowly fell as Ren disappeared into the fog, and when he turned back to the rest of the group he was fighting a desolate face. Ren would be okay, and he would find LW, Alessa, and the scary snake boil, and Jove would be just fine until then so he could kick the older boil for worrying about him so much.
His sad eyes turned towards Junko and Seiji, silently asking if they were leaving now as well, to find help somewhere out there in the fog. He was a little anxious to keep moving, what with that black figure lurking around somewhere, and the temptation to just run and find a snug little place to hide in was very strong. The pup knew if he got scared and bolted, he might never find his way back... With a nervous little swallow he trotted a little closer to the group.

Yaya
With Junko and West both taking their leave, Yaya gave them a fond wave before resigning herself to being alone. Well, not exactly alone. Damien was still here, for now, though he'd gone a little quite. There was also Johan, calling back to her through the fog. His attempts to find her made her chuckle despite the situation and sitting up a little straighter she called back. "Polo! If you can see the glow of the fire through the fog, head that way."
Until he got there though, she was content to watch everyone doing their own versions of the goodbye she'd shared with Junko. Mostly content. There was a knot forming in her stomach that she was certain would just grow large as each one wandered off. There was a part of her, a very large part, that wanted to call them all back to her so they would remain with her, warm and safe, but to what end? They needed to go. She knew that, agreed with it, but still had to bite her lip to keep from asking them to stay.

Huh...? Junko blinked and looked down at Tomoko as she asked for the ball of stars back. Hadn't she already--oh! Oh, it seems she'd kept it when Jove had sidetracked her! Oops! The ghoul nodded, holding out the hand that had still been tightly gripping the ball; she didn't want to lose something so precious to her friend. She knew what it was like to lose something important now.
Junko was never taking her hair for granted ever again.
"Of course!" Junko told her, waiting for the little kitsune to take it. There, now she had two free hands! She took advantage of that, hugging Seiji's whole arm now and resting her cheek against his arm. She didn't care where they went as long as it was away from here. A close eye was kept on Jove and Tomoko, not wanting either of them to get lost.

"A pleasure to meet you." he replied back, seeing as how the gryphon was very focused with tending to Yaya's ankle, he didn't want to interrupt him from the task. The poor ghoul had her pain practically written on her face, having a doctor nearby would have been wonderful but highly unlikely. He had to cringe and look away when Yaya started to whimper, he didn't like seeing people in pain when he couldn't do much for them, at least the red headed boil..... West, was it? Well, at least he was by her side.
The loud crash was alarming and seeing the portal and its billowing white smoke blending into the stark whiteness of the dim fog, it didn't seem like it was something it should normally do. It reminded him that it wasn't safe here still. He couldn't help but remember what had happened to Jericho's group and how the cloaked figure was merciless in striking them all down as a group.
"It is time to move." he said plainly, noticing how a few of them were beginning to get ready to move out. Overhearing the voice in the distance that was asking about food. Just when was the last time they ate? His stomach decided to remind him that he hasn't eaten as well with a small rumble. "Yaya, we won't be gone long, so don't worry, ok?" he said to her with a little bit of confidence in his voice, giving her a pat on the shoulder just to reminder her to stay strong, before grabbing his pack and weapon, before dashing off down the trail, giving her a arm wave before he turned up the path and out of sight.
