After preparations were complete, Justin and his troops began to go out on patrol. Justin felt a sick pain in his heart, considering he might run into Scarlett.

After formulating a plan, Scarlett was ordered to go scout out the area and take a small troop with her. Not one to defy orders, even if she despretelty eanted to, the half demon gatered some men and went on petrol. They first scouted out th river before walking upstream. Scarlett stayed on the ground, not feeling up to jumping through the trees at the moment

Justin's group began to move out along the river, but Justin, taking a page from Scarlett's book, moved through the treetops. He used his electrical powers to search for brain waves, including Scarlett's. Sadly, he managed to spot her.

Scarlett's group stopped after they came to a fork in the river. Scarlett didn't sense Justin at the moment as she split her group and sent them in two different directions to cover more ground. She jumped in to trees to lol around by herself.

Justin moved through the trees at great speeds, until he ran into Scarlett. "Dammit. Of all the times we have to run into each other." He mumbled. Part of him wished he had never met her, but only because he didn't want to be in love with his enemy.

"You took the words right out of my mouth." Scarlett said with a sigh, blowing hair from her fac in irriation. Somehow, she wished shed just stayed on the farm instead of coming to the army and risk meeting Justin. She did love him, but feeling this way for an enemy was as forbidden as a woman being there.

Justin said absolutely nothing. He simply looked Scarlett straight in the eyes. He had to get away from this battle somehow. He then had an idea. He leaned back, fell from the trees, and somehow teleported away. Lucky for him, Kamina the turtle was hiding in his backpack.

"Eh?" Scarlett said, watching them with wide eyes. She sighed some when he teleported away and turned around, running back to her troop.

Justin hid behind another tree, far away from Scarlett, and this battle. He couldn't take this anymore. He was a soldier, dammit! He was supposed to be strong, but meeting Scarlett killed that for him, and he couldn't even fight her. He was conflicted. Which would he choose? His career, or the woman he loved?

Scarlett sighed as she got closer to her troop. She was totally unsure what to do now, she couldn't be in love with her enemy, it just made it harder to counsel her true identity as a woman. She sighed some, unsure of what to do anymore. As she leaped from a tree branch, the half demon suddenly found caught by a net. She yelped and fell to the ground, weights keeping the ends of the ropes down. She struggled to get up and fell back, looking up at the group that had captured her. They had the same uniform that Justin wore and she knew they had to be troops from his army. "Looks like we got the other army's general. Looks like he's not a tough as we were told." The tallest out of the group said with a smirk, knelling down to get a look at Scarlett, who growled at him. he reeked of an elder vampire and she knew she wouldn't be able to be much of an opponent since he probably had thousands of years in training. He grabbed her by the arm and hoisted her up, binding her hands before he took the net off her. She could do little more than allow him to drag her to her feet and tie her up.

Justin watched as his troops caught Scarlett, and he had hit a point of insanity. He loved her, but saving her would mean exile from the army, and he would be killed. He looked to Kamina, who teleported him behind them, and without any of them knowing, he shocked them enough to knock them out. Luckily, no one else saw that. He looked at the elder vampire, then chuckled at how easy that was. He used Rebellion to cut Scarlett loose.

Scarlett looked around when she heard Justin's electricity. Her ears perked and she kept still as he cut her loose. She smiled at him in thanks, "Thank you, Justin." She said, going to say something else when she heard someone else. Her ears went up and she turned her head. Singer bounded from the trees quickly, "Scar, we have to go, your troop is heading back this way." She said. Scarlett bit her lip and looked at Justin again. She nodded to him and ran off with Singer to rejoin her group.

Justin let a smile form on his lips, despite the fact that he just knocked out his comrades. He looked to Kamina, who teleported him the hell out of the area he was in, and brought him to his group. When they asked about the guys who left, Justin said they would catch up.

Scarlett got back to her group, the troops giving her the information they'd gathered. She nodded at them and said they should get back to camp. She gathered the group together and they started back, Scarlett making sure they stayed clear of Justin's group.

Justin broke off from his group and let out a sigh. "Dammit, this is confusing. What the hell should I do?" He asked himself. He couldn't fight Scarlett, but if he didn't, people would know something was up.
