Sierra, startled by the woman's approach, braced herself for the hug. "Hi, nice to see you too!" She gasped out, "But just who are you again?"

Quint released her grip on her sister. "I'm..Quint. Your sister, remember?" She laughed, thinking it was a joke.

Sierra looked at her 'sister' blankly. "What...Quint? Is that really you?" She examined the woman with caution, looking for any hints of deceit. Spotting none for the moment, she decided to give 'Quint' a pop-quiz to detirmine if the lady was telling the truth.
"Okay, what's mom's favorite animal?"

Quint returned the stare. "You really..." She paused, understanding what her sister was doing. "Sure. What is: The Horse." Quint answered in a familiar way.

Sierra was shocked, but maybe that was a fluke. Another round started. A more difficult round.
"What is grandma probably doing right now?"

"Hm.." Quint thought aloud, "Well, seeing as it's a little past noon, I'd go with playing Tennis." Their grandmother was quite spry for her age, playing tennis was a way to keep active and..
"To beat the mess out of you two if you mess up." Annie, their grandmother, would answer.

Rioushu watched the girl get timid all of a sudden and had an amused look on his face. He then watched Quint coming towards her looking ready to hug her and jump out of the way of any possible collisions. He then watched the girl who was apparently Quint's sister give her a pop quiz. "Weird girl..." Rioushu said, still looking her over.

"No way." She breathed, "You are Quint."
"What the hell happened to you?!" Sierra yelled, curious as to why the he was now a she.

"I could have told you that." Quint began before recieving her last, most challenging, question.
"Now what are you talking about? I've always been like..." Suddenly, Quint's head felt to be pierced by many thorns, all from trying to remember anything from before coming to the island. One hand came to her head as she kneeled onto the floor, unsure of who 'she' was.
"Always been like this, right?" Now she was the one asking questions.

Sierra gasped to the sight of her sibling in pain, joining her in a kneeling position to try and help. She felt a connection to this girl, a very strong one, but her brother was certainly not a woman. "No, not a girl. You've always been Quint though.."
She looked up to the others in the room, now rubbing her fingers through Quint's hair to calm her, "If someone knows what's going on, it would be nice if they could maybe speak up.."

Rioushu sighed as he watched Quint fall to one knee and watched Sierra moved to her side. He then heard her request and motioned her over to him, backing into a corner of the room, looking warily at Quint. "Come here, I'll tell you what's going on, but Quint can't find out..." Rioushu whispered to her.

Looking down at Quint, then back up at Rioushu, Sierra walked to where the man was, in the back corner of the room. Hearing his request, she shook her head negativly.
"No. Anything I know, Quint knows. It is the same way with him...or her.." She corrected herself. The sudden bravery was evident even in Sierra's posture, standing upright, chin high. "I want to know what happened to my brother, and if that means I'll need to snitch to hi-HER, then I will."

Rioushu shook his head slowly at Sierra, then looked over to Quint and back at her. "No, see, Quint was turned into a woman by one of the bustier women on this island. It was all fun and games with Quint until she foolishly stepped into a daemon's barrier, destroying her memory as a guy. However as you just saw, until we can restore her memory, anything provoking her to remember she was a guy will just hurt her. You don't want to hurt her now do you?" Rioushu asked.

"Sounds like Quint alright." Sierra laughed for the moment, which helped with the mood. She looked back at her sister, "But what if the way to help is to hurt? I mean, if telling Quint the truth brings pain, then maybe that's just the mind trying to correct itself, which would be similar to getting stiches after an accident. Hurts for the meantime, but it all helps in the end."
She sighed, "I don't want to hurt her, just help.." Sierra again fell back into her rabbity shyness. If Quint couldn't, or didn't want to change, how would she explain it to the family? Questions brought uncertainty, uncertainty dragged nervousness.

Voices flooded Quint's mind, brief, broken snippets of the past.
"You should really...out for the...ball team." A male voice, quite encouraging.
"What are you doing? Get out there and WIN!" An older male, seemingly upset.
"745 Pounds! That's a leg press record!" Shocked voices, happy in tone.
"You're pretty." A girl, talking to Quint.
None of these gave any indication as to who Quint was, or if they were talking to a girl or a boy. Still, with every mutter of speech inside her head, helpful or no, another cycle of pain shook her body to the core. Only assurance Quint had right now was the fact that her sister had found her, and that her friends were with her. That was a known that she would have to carry for right now; there were other matters that needed to be pushed forward.
Dropping her hand, Quint stared at the metal floor, pushing the last remants of previous memories aside, the pain subsiding with it. Slowly she stood, but didn't speak.
