In an old yukata and a pair of pants her father sent her, Iyasu strode up the stables with a grin on her face. She hoped that she would be able to run into Amaya, for she wished to enquire about some free space and perhaps another lesson.

((SSJ3 Sage has not posted for a very long time and not answered my message... so I hereby take the liberty to advance the timeline and assume that the weapon practice with his char has taken place 1 1/2 weeks ago.))
Amaya, who had been busy hammering away on a nearly-finished jousting-target, looked up at the visitor.
"G'day, Iyasu-san!", she mumbled around a mouthfull of nails, then drove one of them into the target with a single, well-placed strike. Incidentally, the life-sized puppet bearing a wooden shield and a crude flail on its outstretched arms wore a shaggy wig made of multiple rags in various shades of faded blue. It also sported a hand-painted crooked smirk. It looked quite familiar to the geisha.

As she came closer she noticed the dummy and the similarities it had of her that one day she was there. With its crooked smirk and messed up mop of hair. Iyasu grinned and jokingly said, "Are trying to tell me something, Amaya-san?" She leaned against the entrance door frame, careful not to ruin her hair.

"Me? However could I?" Amaya said jokingly after she spat out the nails.
She dropped the hammer and straightened herself, languidly popping the vertebrae of her back. "Good to see you again! How are things going in your Okiya?"

She smiled, "Very well! My Onee-sama is fine, however I have not seen our Okaa-san around. I have some good news, I have a new younger sister!" Iyasu glowed with pride as she if she was truly related to the maiko, "Her name is Tanpopo, and she's the most innocent little maiko! She's still getting used to the fact that she has an older sister, while the other maiko do not. She feels she's hurting them some way. She's literally making herself sick in the process! That's the only bit that worries me about her." Iy-chan bowed her head, unconiously as she thought about Popo-chan. "Tell me, how are things with you and your helper?"

"Sorry to hear that about your imouto-chan... perhaps things will get better once she has adapted to her new role... as for me and Yuriko, we're doing well. She's invaluable to me... we don't have much patrons, but the horses keep you on your toes alright..." Amaya gathered up the tools and put them back into the wooden box standing nearby.
"I see you are poised and ready for another ride, if I'm not much mistaken. And it's a splendid day for that, too!"

"Aye, it is! But, before we begin . . . I have a question for you." A hidden smile came to lips, for it was hard for her to keep her secret. "Do you have any room for an extra horse, Amaya-san?"

"Oh, surely... we have several loose boxes and stalls for visiting samurai to stable their steeds. The monthly fee is only 500 yen. Why do you ask?" Amaya replied, puzzled by the mysterious smile playing on the geisha's lips.

"I have a stallion!" She replied excitedly, "My mother found him the other day in our village. He's a good natured fellow, although I hear he has a temper every now and again, but that normally occurs when he's very antsy. Would you be willing to look after him?"

"How odd..." Amaya stroked her chin for a moment. "A stallion would normally be too precious to get lost like that... Sure he did not have any brands on him that could identify its owner? Was he wearing any tack perhaps? Not that I am not willing to take him in, we have plenty of space, and even if he does not get along with the other stallion, we could keep them separate well enough... but I do not want to be accused of theft, you know... stealing a horse is a capital offense, even more so if the steed belonged to a samurai..." She kept on stroking her chin, looking thoughtful.

A small girl, around the age of 9, walks up to the stables with a grin on her face. She holds out a carrot for one of the stallions and looks at the other horses. She obviously is very fond of animals.

Kiyo, for that was her name, patted a large draft horse and whistled sweetly. She pulled an apple from a pocket in her robe and let each horse in turn take a bite, till only the core was left, which she threw in the bushes. "Bye, i must get back before Mother gets worried"

A handsome drow walks by in clothing that similar to a ninja and notices the two young women. He looks at them with his bright crimson red eyes. His long black hair braided and in a pony tail. Looking at them he smiles and continues on his way past the stables.
