Alex ClarkeFourth Year Ravenclaw "Professor, I heard they live in caves," said Alex. He didn't want to repeat what other people had said, but he had read no other information on where griffins tended to nest.

"Hmmm....I've seen Griffins in Egypt before maybe there^^." though May had been just been guessing with luck, she was very embarrassed when her mouth opened and spoke.

Heart chews on her quill. Thinking about what she has heard about griffins, she raises her hand. "I believe the griffin, sometimes known as the gryphon, recurs in several cultures' stories. I've heard that the griffin makes their nests out of the gold found in the mountains, guarding their nests as well as the treasure. The nests themselves are called called Eyries (Aeries), I think."

She heard somebody say they lived in caves and sparrow wondered if he was listening because she had already said that.

'Although griffins do not make their nests out of gold, they are in fact called eyries. Five points to Ravenclaw. Eyries are almost always located, believe it or not, on an open steppe. A steppe is a plain or grassland,' said Kalle. She nodded in approvement toward Heart as she tried to think up another question.

Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year Oh, now she had to go to the grounds. Poopie. Eriena took her time to stroll out, not really deciding it was worth getting worked up in a frenzy for being late anymore. She would get into the swing of things soon enough.
Of course, the closer she got to the class, the more worried she was that Professor Kalle might give her detention. As she was within close enough range to see the giant golden griffin the class was currently surrounding, she ducked her head and tip-toed behind a few second-years before straightening herself up. She tried to compose her face to make it seem as if she knew exactly what was going on and that she was not completely clueless when it came to griffins (which was somewhat true. She wasn't completely clueless, but one could hardly call her an expert).

Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year Eriena was startled out of her wits as one of the second-years she had been hiding behind and dropped her bag on the ground in surprise. Her heart was pretty much pounding out of her ribcage now.
"Geebus, keep it down, will you!?" she gasped at the Slytherin girl, clutching her chest.

'Welcome to class! What is your name?' Kalle asked, curiously inclining her head toward the newest addition to the class. She then realized that having a griffin present at her first lesson might be a little intimidating, so she decided to make the new student more comfortable with the lesson. 'We are currently answering questions about griffins for house points. Speaking of which, five from Slytherin for another rude remark of Antoinette's,' she said, half-heartedly waving toward Antoinette. 'This is Narquesse, our griffin.'

Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year "I... er... ah... em..." Eriena struggled to compose herself after her scare. And now the teacher had noticed her. BAH! She knew she would never make a good spy. "I'm Eriena Emm, professor. Sorry I'm a bit late."
She gave a small wave to the magnificent creature pawing the ground. "Hi griffin," she said in a small voice. "Sorry to say I don't know much about you."

Cloud frowned as more points were taken from Slytherin. Antoinette seemed to be making it a goal to ensure Slytherin wouldn't be winning the house cup this year.
