Tahki continued on her path putting one claw in front of the other. A trail of crunch crunch crunch followed after her as she moved with the utmost grace through the snowy terrain. So far so good.
A figure up ahead caught her golden eyes though and caused the gryphoness to come to a full on stop. This shape had to be another student seeing as he didn't resemble anything Christmas like and it looked like he was having some trouble.
Tahki approached with caution and gave a small greeting "kwraaarr" trying to make it sound as friendly as possible. With her snow white pelt she her self could resemble something of this world. So Tahki did her best to seem as friendly as possible keeping low to the ground and even rolling on her back to show her belly. Hopefully this student would see she was no threat. Lacking language right now was a real pain in the a** and made things a lot more complicated.
Speaking of language Tahki felt a familiar voice brush her brain. It was a warming comfort to know Riley was close by. Hopefully soon she'd join her friend.

Tybalt gave and exasperated sigh. "Don't give me that!" He grumbled; lifting his paw and bringing it down directly ontop of the Sylph's head. Not hard enough to hurt him, but hard enough to knock the already unbalanced boil off balance and back into the snow.
"You really don't get it do you? Let me explain again." He cleared his throat before lowering his head to the boils level and spoke loudly and slowly. "NO. ONE. CAN. USE. NATURAL. ABILITIES. OR. FEAR. NOT. CAUSED. BY. REINDEERS!" He purposely said reindeer last in hopes the boy would listen to the first half of the message. But boy was he thick! Or rather it was more a case of in one ear and out the other. He really was being an air head!

Christof was wheezing through his nose as he tromped forward, but when the griffin returned, jogging up to him he gave a start. The white feathers and fur made it blend almost perfectly into the snow, and at first he was convinced he was under attack. Brandishing his crutch like a weapon, he backed away a limped step or two but finally when the thing rolled over facts clicked into place. What did a griffin have to do with Christmas? Right so that mean it had to be another student with a faulty pin- Oh thank Jack! He relaxed a little, replacing the crutch under his arm again as he tentatively reached forward to give the monster's head a pat to show that he got it and no, he wasn't going to bludgeon it to death.

And so Lucien was pushed back into the snow by the one who had originally rescued him. Damn that imbalance in the sylph's body that happened without the natural occurrence of wings to keep him graceful. What sort of sick story was this? Lucien looked at Tybalt, tilting his head in a strange matter as if he was actually going to listen to the black dog as he spoke to him. And he did, but the same thought went through his head until it finally came out when Tybalt was finished talking. All he said was, "Why Tybalt? Why the head?" before he sulked.
"If you wanted to pet me, you could have just asked."
He lowered his head towards the black dog.
"But I want to pet you too!"

Julian awoke with a start, hadn't realizing he'd dozed off, in a very vulnerable position. He'd hadn't even crossed the bridge yet. Anything could have attacked him while he slept.
And now he was completely alone.
At least he felt a little refreshed, though places still ached from his battle with the tree.
He stood and stared at the island in the distance. There was no way he was crossing that bridge on foot. No way.
He picked up his things and with a soft grunt, he heaved himself into the air, wings flapping to take him as high as he possibly could before he soared to the island.
Worst. Experience. Ever.
Every couple of moments he would dip precariously because he'd look down and almost freeze at the sight of the water below. But he eventually made it to the island. But he wasn't used to landing on slippery ground, so a normally smooth landing sent him tripping and rolling straight into a soft, furry body, blinking at gold eyes and headphones he recognized. Tahki was in gryphon form, but he was pretty sure it was her.
Correction, THIS was the worst experience ever.

Riley lounged carefully, amused by Malodore's observation. Does that mean you'll be taking some of their corpses home for study? Perhaps even reanimation? She thought that one over, and her amusement faltered. Ah.. perhaps not that.
Since Nuk and Shehk were close by, she had heard Sammy's revealing announcement. She didn't realize the two were such a scandal, and it made the events of the other night much, much more interesting. She sent out a thought to Sammy, keeping her eyes directed at the ghoul as she did so. According to Israfel, anyone who knew the two would get this comment.
Skullface Achsuns. She murmured to Sammy. They had it.
It seemed after one night of Israfel, Riley had joined Team Shehkpana.

Was he for real..? Like seriously? "I SAID DON'T GIVE ME THAT CRAP!" He growled and shoved his head deeper into the snow, with one heavy paw.
Pets? Who would want pets? He was not a pet dog! Honestly! And he was no petting him either! The damn air head! He wasn't listening at all and just when he felt he was----THAT! Ugh! Tybalt could already feel the headache creeping back.

"Whole corpses would be too much of a logistical challenge, I fear. Perhaps a few core samples here and there." After all, Malodore already had a small sliver of jolly tree tucked away. "I imagine visibly dragging a shredded elephant or headless box-toy would attract negative attention."

At first Sammy was a bit confused, a voice in her head? That was new! Glancing about she tried to place who it was before finally catching the sight of the Mindflayer staring her dead in the eye. Skullface Achsuns. Suddenly it made complete sense and Sammy could only break into a wide grin. Whoever this girl was she was CLEARLY someone she would get along with, at least in the department of 'teasing Nuk and Shehk to death' area.
"You have no idea." Walking over she offered a hand to the stranger, "Sammy, I'm friends with the two 'Skullfaces' currently tangled on the ground over yander."

Haku chuckled a bit at Tahki's greeting. "Well at least most of us managed to cross then," he commented as she happily rolled on her back for the hunchbacked figure. Bringing the small group with him, Haku too came over to investigate, spotting another winged shadow approaching from above; since he didn't feel any disturbing amounts of happiness from it, the inugami suspected it was another student.
"We don't have time to teach you tricks, Tahki," Haku said upon reaching the pair. "I'd like to catch up to Tybalt if you don't mind." Not that he seemed far; he could hear his shouts. "You can come along too if you want," he added to the other boils, though the patchwork one looked to be in pain or somethign close to it. "Although . . . are you alright?"

The pat was well received by the gryphoness. She gave off a slight purr sound in reaction to student's affection. It was clear now that Tahki was closer that the student was in need of some help which gave the gryphoness an idea. Tahki rolled her self on to all fours and kept her body low so that the student wouldn't have any trouble.
"Kwrawrr," The gryphoness hoped that he would understand what she was trying to communicate.
Something rolled into her side though causing her to shoot upwards in battle pose only to find an owl demon. Not just any owl demon though, Julian! She nuzzled him in affection before lowing her self again for the other student. After all he seemed to need some help.
Tahki gave a happy chirp at Hakus greeting. It was the best she could do to communicate she was happy to see him too.

Riley lifted one finger solemnly to point at Sin, in her festive wear, her voice deadpan as she responded to Malodore. I doubt anything would attract more attention than that.
Still, she was glad it was considering taking samples. The knowledge of what these things were made of and why they acted the way they did was attractive. Riley would have to remember to ask about it's findings later on.
Just.. not the head of that one. Anything but the head.
When Sammy moved closer, Riley leaned down carefully from her perch atop her dragon to take the offered hand into her own. Her long fingers swallowed Sammy's hand, and she gave it a gentle shake. A pleasure. She returned, I'm Riley. I'm not as well acquainted with the two, having only met them today. The majority of my information comes from Israfel. But he has filled me in quite well.

Lucien was beginning to like the feel of the snow, after being pushed down into it so much. It was kind of like a cloud, just on the ground. Feeling the paw hit his head, he could only grin. And grin until he sat up enough to grab the wreath around the black dog's neck. He held it there, just grinning like a fool. Then he spoke to the black dog, "And already I said if you pet me I have to pet you!" which he took as agreement that he could pet the black dog. Holding the wreath around the black dog's neck so he couldn't move his head, Lucien ran his hand over the black dog's furry head, making sure to rub him right behind the ears.

Julian tensed when Tahki did, but relaxed, sitting up when realization dawned on her face. And then she nuzzled him. Sure, she was in gryphon form, but it was still his friend and a ghoul. A heavy blush settled on his face as he smiled and rubbed once behind her ear.
"I'm s-so glad t-to see you, t-too," he mumbled sheepishly. He looked up at the patchwork boil (Christof) he recognized from a brief X-Mas decorating stunt back at school... The second boil who spoke to Tahki (Haku) he didn't recognize.
"I'm Julian." Introductions seemed like a good plan while he could still talk.
As if whatever fate that controlled his life knew he'd thought that, he popped out of human form and back into an owl.

The hand was large but Sammy didn't mind it at all shaking with a simple but firm grip followed by a face splitting grin. "Just met them? Israfel would have filled you in though, I hear he started the whole Skullface Akshun, but yeah don't listen to Shehk she digs Nuk but won't admit it because it's Nuk. Their both good friends though, just try not to let Nuk hit on you or anything around Shehk."
Turning slightly she waved past Riley, "Hey Mr. Fancy Hat! Didn't know you went on this trip!" She was of course talking to Malodore, he did after all, sport the fanciest hat of all.
