Tyler nodded. He got out and turned off the car as he stepped out, looking over at her. "Hey...relax. I'm here for you." he said softly. "Come on. We can do this."

Why are these lights so bright Oh, did we get hitched last night, dressed up like Elvis, And why, why am I wearing your class ring? Don't call your mother 'Cause now we're partners in crime
Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey nodded slightly at Tyler as she walked through the door. Her parent's weren't immediately visible. So, she hurried upstairs and dropped off her bags and such, leaving Tyler downstairs. She avoided looking at the door to Marvin's room. She was pretty sure her parent's would leave it the way it was, for a long time, if not until they died themselves.
She sighed, turning and making her way down the stairs at her usual pace, which was rather quickly. Mace heard her mother humming in the kitchen, trying to act normal. It was a slow tune, and it seemed sad. "Hey, Mom..." She said as she rounded the corner into the kitchen. Her mom was there, looking through an old photo album. Something of which she had been doing lately. Mae Blaire looked up at her daughter and gave her a small smile. "Macey, It's good to have you home...Oh, and it's nice to see you again, Tyler...."
That comment made Mace even more uneasy. "Umm...Mom, where's Dad? I kinda need to talk to you guys.." She trailed off, a bit nervous. Her Mom looked concerned for a moment before replying. "He's out in the garage, tinkering with something..." Mace nodded at her answer before heading out to the garage. The faster they were told, the better. The knot in her stomach kept growing, and until they knew, it wouldn't begin to go away.. . Tyler watched as Macey ran off. He might as well stay quiet for now. He didn't want to speak and dig himself into a hole, after all. He sat down on a chair in the living room, looking at a picture on the coffee table of Macey's family. He felt a bit sorry, having done this so soon after his death. Still...maybe it was for the best. He got up and walked into the kitchen when Macey came back down and he smiled, nodding politely to her mother in response. When Macey left, he spoke. "Good to see you too, Mrs. Blaire."

Scarlet Macey Blaire Mrs. Blaire smiled up at Tyler. She had a feeling that he had to do with what Macey wanted to talk to her and her husband about. Otherwise, she was sure he would have excused himself. "Comeon, let's go get situated in the Living room..." She said, standing up and casting one last glance at the photo album before making her way to the living room.
Macey, surely enough, found her father out in the garage, working on Marvin's old car. She wasn't sure on whether or not they would sell it. However, she believed her father was working on it to distract him at the moment. Mace couldn't blame him. She cleared her throat, causing Francis Blaire to look up from his work.
At the sight of his daughter, he smiled a half-heartbroken smile. She knew that he would always miss Marvin. His son was gone, and all he had was his baby girl left. She hoped he didn't take the news too badly. "What is it Macey?" He asked. She gave a sorrowful smirk. He always had been able to tell when she was worried about something.
"Dad, Tyler is upstairs....We need to talk to you and mom..." She trailed off, dropping her gaze from his. "Alright...' Was all she heard him reply, but, before she knew it, her dad was beside her, arm around her shoulder and leading her upstairs. After a couple of minutes, they had arrived in the living room, Mr. and Mrs. Blaire on the couch. . Once everyone was seated, Tyler sighed. "This is hard for me to say. Just as hard, I'm sure, as it will be for you guys to hear it." he began. "A few days ago...not long after...you know...Macey and I, we decided to try and forget about things...and you can probably guess what that entails...anyways...I...when we woke up the next morning..." he said, looking away for a moment then back at her parents "We found each other in the same bed, with rings on...we got married, and that was about all we could remember of the night." he said quietly.

Why are these lights so bright Oh, did we get hitched last night, dressed up like Elvis, And why, why am I wearing your class ring? Don't call your mother 'Cause now we're partners in crime
Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey sat down, and totally didn't expect Tyler to start explaining everything. She couldn't take her eyes off her parents, waiting to see their reactions. Their looks changed from partially somber to surpried, yet not completely shocked. It honestly confused Mace.
"It was sometime later that night that you guys left to come back here that it happened. We don't remember it at all, but apparently it was recorded, and we have a dvd." She added to Tyler's statement. They weren't completely freaking out. "I thought about going to get it annulled, however, we're going to see if we can make it work..." Still no reaction of complete shock from them.
Macey watched as her father and mother turned to eachother and whispered about something moments before her dad got up and left the room. It didn't appear that it was because he was upset. Her mother turned to them. "Mace, you knew how badly I wanted to help with your wedding...but I suppose these things happen..." She trailed off, there was actually a small smile on her face. Woah, now Mace was completely confused.
Her father came back, holding three envelopes in his hands. Mace raised an eyebrow. He handed one to her, one to Tyler, and held on to the other one. "From what I remember, they both read about the same thing..." He stated before sitting back down. On the front of her envelope was her nickname in Marvin's handwriting. She turned over the envelope and opened it carefully, taking the hand written letter out and beginning to read.
Mace,
I know that I'm not there anymore to be your big brother, well, at least physically. I know you're a tough girl, and you'll get through this. I remember when I found out I was going to be an older brother. Well, kinda. I was only, like, three or so at the time. Anyways, I remember hoping for a younger brother. Don't go getting upset at that, now...However, when I found out I was going to have a little sister, I was determined to protect you. I begged dad to get me some police guns and a uniform and such (all play though) and I would practice standing guard at the door to your bedroom.
Yeah, I was that determined, and I always have been. Though, I've let you get yourself into trouble a good share of times. Eh, that's what big brothers are for. Even now, I would like to offer you some advice. You don't have to follow it. I know you...too stubborn to listen to what's good for you...but I hope you'll give me a chance, my advice a chance.
I know you were kinda freaked out when I got Tyler to kiss you ages ago. At that time, I thought I could get you two to like eachother for my own selfish means. I wanted him as a brother. Though, at that age, I didn't understand that it was impossible for that to happen any time soon. However, growing up, my thinking changed. I grew to despise the guys you dated based on the sole factor that I knew their motives better than you. I didn't want my baby sister to get hurt. You deserved better than them. Sure, I had some heartbrake of my own, but I wasn't worried about myself. I watched Tyler go through his relationships, girls trying to use him and such. He's just a nice guy...I'd do my best to cheer him up after each break up.
Well, I'd say that you two argued like an old married couple to get the idea in your minds. From an outsiders perspective...okay, not that much of an outsider. I thought you two would be good together. There, I said it. I want you to give Tyler a chance, at some point. You can't yell at me for that suggestion.
Regardless of whether or not you listen to that, I will always want the best for you. I want you to live the life I don't have the chance to. Make mistakes, be stupid, have fun, learn, grow, be happy. Don't forget to always keep in touch with mom and dad. You're the only kid they have left now...
On that note, I'm going to end this letter. I've written plenty more for any given situation, so this won't be the last time you hear from me.
I'll love you, always, little sis....Go live your life!
~Marvin
Macey looked up from her letter, a bit shocked herself. Apparently, from what her dad had said, they had already read these two before they were sealed away. Was that why they were taking the news so well? Did they see things the way Marvin had? Macey hadn't realized that she was crying, that is, until a tear landed on her hand. She quickly moved the letter out of the line of fire, then wiped her eyes with her free hand. "Marvin wanted this." She said, more of a statement than a question.

Tyler knew from the look on Macey's face she was confused, but he said it to try and make it as quick and painless as possible. No need to stretch it out, right? He watched as her father returned with a letter. He opened it reverently, knowing it was written by his best friend, and he didn't exactly want to rip it. He unfolded the paper and slid out his reading glasses.
Ty.
If you're reading this, I'm already dead. Sure, it's cynical, but it's also just like those cheesy action movies we used to watch all the time. Just like old times, right?
Anyways, let's try and keep this on a lighter note. I really want to tell you this, because I know how you feel. You haven't said it, but I know. I saw how you didn't freak out all that much, when I made you kiss Mace. I saw how you look at her every now and again. Despite your differences, despite how much you argue with her...you like her.
Now I'm not here to play matchmaker. I'm not here to play matchmaker. I'm here to offer a bit of advice. I've seen how girls used you, whenever you tried to date. And on the same side of the coin I've seen how boys keep trying to use my sister. I don't like it and I know for a fact you don't either...I don't think I need to remind you about Dylan, do I? (PS, no, she still doesn't know).
She needs you. I know she does. With me gone, she's going to be devastated. You and I both know that. And she'll need somebody to help her through this. I want you to be there to help her through. You're a great guy, and I know you'll take care of her, treat her the way she deserves to be treated. I guess you could say, I'm asking you to date her.
Well, I should probably get going. There's other letters I wrote, in case you need more advice from on high. Good luck, with everything. I know it'll be hard, but you'll make it through.
See you on the other side.
- Marvin.
Tyler folded the letter and pulled off his glasses. He wasn't too sentimental, but he was fighting back tears. He glanced at Mace. "Please don't cry, or I'm going to." he said softly, reaching up to help her wipe her tears. "Yeah...he did."

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey laughed a little when he said that if she cried, he would. She took one of his hands that came up to help wipe her tears and held it. Next, she rested her head on his shoulder. "I'd like to see that, you cry..." She said with a smile. However, the letter in her father's hands called her attention. "Wait. What's the other letter for?" She asked curiously.
Her father smiled a bit when she asked. He examined the envelope before handing it over to them. She took it gingerly and turned it over. It had both her name and Tyler's on the front. Well, to be more specific, it said Ty and Mace Jameson. That in itself was unexpected. Slowly, she dropped his hand and opened the letter carefully.
Macey and Tyler,
Congrats! Sorry I couldn't be at your wedding, though I'm sure it was amazing. I hoped you saved my best man spot regardless. Anywho, I just wanted to say 'I told you so'. Meaning more along the lines of I knew you two would be good together. The only thing that might have possibly been stopping you before was the concern upon whether or not I'd approve. Since that first letter, I'm sure the two of you had no doubt of exactly what I thought on the matter. I couldn't see the two of you with anyone else. Plain and simple.
I hope you two have a good marriage, and are happy. I really do. Of course, I'm not even going to think about the intimate details. That would be just gross. No offense. However, I hope my nieces and nephews will hear about their Uncle Marvin one day...And, it wouldn't be too bad if one was named after me. Hint Hint..
At that point, Mace laughed a little and looked up at Tyler. "It seems as if Marvin thought about a lot of possibilities, and wanted to be here in a way, even though he was gone....How many more letters are there?" She asked, looking up at her parents. Her mother decided to answer that one. "Oh, at least a few dozen...All for various things..." She explained with a small smile, taking Mr.Blaire's hand in her own. "Marvin wanted to make sure he wasn't forgotten so easily..." .

Tyler read over the letter and smiled. Marvin truly was a great friend. He couldn't stop reading the letter. He looked up upon hearing that there were dozens others. He really did think of everything. "This is...frankly, incredible." he said softly, his hand resting over Macey's. He smiled. "I don't feel so bad anymore, I guess."

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey faintly blushed when he placed his hand over hers. It was a bit odd to think that Marvin had considered the two of them together and married not too long before he passed away. She had to agree with Tyler, it was incredible. However, his statement brought her attention back to the letter.
Well, I hope you two go somewhere amazing for your honeymoon, or not, either way I wanted to make sure you two had something in your life together. So, I had asked mom and dad if it was alright that I sat aside some of my life insurance money for the two of you after I died. Of course they said fine. So, to help start on your life together, I had them set aside fifty thousand dollars for the two of you. Now, what that goes to is entirely your choice. Just don't be stupid with it, alright?
Now, go eat some cake, or shove it into eachothers faces, or continue whatever you were doing before you got this letter. You'll be hearing from me again...
~ Marvin
At that, her eyes widened. Fifty thousand?! That was a lot of money. She just couldn't believe that Marvin had thought of all of this. She couldn't help but look up at her parent's in shock. "Is he completely serious?" At that statement, her father chuckled. "I'm assuming you're referring to the money he left you....Yes, Marvin was serious."

Tyler couldn't help himself when he read the letter. His eyes started to water and he smiled. He truly did have the best friend a man could ever have...he was going to miss him. He wiped at his eyes, not sure of what to say. "This is...overwhelming, to be honest." he said quietly.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey reached over and grabbed the box of tissues from the side table. After taking a tissue out of the box, she handed it to Tyler, for she had seen him wipe at his eyes. At this moment, the only thing Macey wished was that things had went the way her brother had thought them out. It would have been easier on all of them. However, things happened for a reason.
Once they had been quiet for awhile, her dad spoke up. "Now, I think it would be best to keep the money out of the picture until the two of you figure out if this is exactly what you wanted. You know, be together, that is..." He seemed a bit awkward when he said it, but Mace didn't have an issue with that. Then it was her mom's turn to speak. "And, if the two of you decide that you do want to stay together, I expect to be able to plan a real wedding..." she stated with a smirk, her eyes watering too.

"Thanks." Tyler said. He took the tissue, but didn't use it as his eyes were mostly dry now. He didn't cry very often, but he wasn't stone cold, emotionless, either. He did get quite sad. He looked over at Mace's mother and nodded. "Thanks. And...I hope you get the chance to plan that wedding, Mrs. Blaire." he said.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey got up and made her way over to her parents, wrapping an arm around each of them. They hugged her in return, and she just stayed there for a moment in quiet. "Thank you so much for understanding...." She trailed off, not knowing exactly what else to say.
"If it had been anyone else, Scarlet..." Her father trailed off, actually using her first name. She got the gist of the statement. Personally, she too was glad that it hadn't been anyone else that she had been put in that situation with.

Scarlet. Tyler had almost forgotten that was her first name. Few ever used it. He smiled and looked at her father. Their eyes met, and Ty hoped to pass on a message through just a look that he'd keep her safe.
