Name: Setzer Gabbiani Age: 27 Appearance: Setzer is a man in his late twenties. He has long, silver hair, and wears several layers of clothing under a black trench coat with a gold lining. Personality: True to his notorious hobby, Setzer cannot resist a gamble; he thrives on risks - such as his planned abduction of Maria - and will never pass up an opportunity to prove his skill. Most of his scars come from gambling sessions gone wrong, although some also come from airship accidents. There are aspects of Setzer's character that fit the "ladies' man" archetype, such as his willingness to gamble his airship for Celes Chere's hand in marriage. Setzer acts like a happy and likeable person up front, but is still hurt by a great loss and distracts himself with gambling. Bio: Setzer was a gambler by nature and pilot by trade. When younger, he was involved with a girl named Darill who owned the airship Falcon. She knew her risk-taking nature would eventually take its toll, because she casually mentioned to Setzer the Falcon was his if she ever was unable to fly. Setzer, mortified by the idea, promised no such thing would ever happen, and that he would only take the Falcon after having won it fairly. After a day of flying Darill decided to go out on her own and push the Falcon to its limits. The ship crashed in a distant valley, and when Setzer found the remains he entombed them beneath the sea. Shell-shocked by the loss, Setzer ended up impressing his desires upon a wealthy opera star named Maria. The pinnacle of his infatuation comes when he threatens to kidnap her in the midst of a performance. He has a plan to disrupt the show and kidnap her, but Locke Cole and his party are desperate for an airship, so he and the Impresario decide to foil Setzer's plan by having Celes Chere star in the night's show. Setzer abducts Celes, Locke follows him back to the Blackjack, and the party seeks to negotiate for an airship. Setzer is disappointed upon finding Celes is not Maria, but soon finds the intelligent Celes to be much more attractive. Celes borrows Edgar Roni Figaro's double-headed coin to broker a deal: if it landed on heads, Setzer would help the Returners reach the Southern Continent so they could rescue Maduin and the other espers; if it was tails, Celes would agree to be Setzer's "woman" (the Japanese term refers to a woman that receives gifts from her man in exchange for physical favors). More amused than anything else, Setzer agrees, but quickly notices he has been duped. Setzer's inherent good nature, coupled by being impressed by the trick, makes him pliant to the idea and he helps the Returners. While the others are infiltrating the Magitek Research Facility in the north, Setzer stays on the airship. When the others do not return, he goes to Vector to check on them and meets them as they are fleeing the city and rings them onto the Blackjack to escape. The ship is badly damaged in the attack and almost unusable. Later, he goes with them to Zozo to save Terra Branford. Following the trip to Zozo Setzer accompanies the party to Narshe, where the Elder decides to join with the Returners. Terra agrees to ask the freed espers to limit their devastation to Vector, after which a coalition of Returners and Narshe guards would storm from the north. The plan is a success, and Emperor Gestahl appears to have surrendered. He asks Terra if she would try to convince the espers to negotiate peace, so she and Locke head to Crescent Island to convey the Emperor's message. Setzer and the others are skeptical of the Emperor and decide to stay in Vector to judge his motives. Setzer and Cid Del Norte Marquez rebuild the airship while Edgar uses his charms to learn the Emperor's true plans from a maidservant, who says the Emperor plans to capture the espers. The rest of the party flies to Thamasa to warn Terra and Locke, but they are too late. Kefka has acquired more magicite and used it to revive the Warring Triad and turn the Land of Espers into the Floating Continent. One year after the end of the world, with no wings to fly and nowhere to go, Setzer is wasting his life away in a bar in Kohlingen. Celes, Edgar, and Sabin Rene Figaro happen upon him and ask if he would rejoin their fight against Kefka. Setzer is initially unwilling, having lost any sense of purpose for his life, but Celes's words convince him. Setzer takes them to Darill's Tomb to unearth the Falcon. He shares Darill's story with the party, and as the Falcon rises to the skies Setzer finally buries his grief. From then on he accompanies the party on their quest to save the world. In the ending, Setzer saves two of his fellow Returners by telling them which of two doors is unsafe and about to explode. He initially tosses a coin which indicates one door, but tells them to take the other one instead. The door indicated by the coin explodes shortly thereafter. Setzer lingers for a moment, reminiscing about how Darill once told him that "whenever you think you're right, you're wrong", an instinct that made him decide to not trust the coin toss. When Terra's esper power fades with magic disappearing from the world and she falls from the sky, Setzer pilots the Falcon to catch her proclaiming the Falcon is the fastest ship in the world. RP sample: High in the sky the falcon paved a path pass the clouds, know to all as the fastest and only Airship in the entire world. On board the ship standing at the wheel a grey haired man smirked as he kept his gaze on the ever expanding horizon. He chuckled a bit as he took a turn heading over the desert where Figaro laid. "Can you see it Darill! The ever expanding horizon, the clouds passing by at such speed, the Falcon soars like it use to, just like the times we raced each other. All those years ago Darill!" he shouted on the wind as he kept flying the falcon at high speed. This man was named Setzer Gabbiani, a vagabond of a man gambler by nature. It had been over two years since he had last seen his closest friend in the world Darill, a young female pilot. The Falcon was once her ship but a promise they made one day found the Falcon in Setzer's ownership. "Darill....Everyday I think of those days we spent out on our vessels, free as the very wind it's self. I think of that promise you made me and my response I'm still mad at my self for not winning the Falcon fairly but...If it helps you rest in peace I'll make sure the Falcon never falls from the sky again!" he yelled to the sky as he made his way over the sea.

Name: Emperor Mateus Age: ??? Weapon: Magic Appearances: The Emperor wears light, golden colored armor with purple robes underneath. His hair is blond and spiked, with an extra-long ponytail, as well as purple highlights at the tip of the front strands of hair. His head was also adorned with multiple tiny sapphires, emeralds, opaques, and ruby jewels. Black and white stripes trace his ribs on his chestplate, and demonic looking faces embellish his waist and back. His gauntlets sport extended claws. The Emperor wears purple makeup on his eyes and lips, and a purple crown depicting a serpent. He has at times worn a darker outfit, with a hairstyle that resembles a pair of demonic horns. This outfit also exposes his hands, which have long fingernails painted black with some golden lines, as well as rings on his middle and index fingers of his left hand. In addition, the pair of horns also have some golden ornaments on it. as well as a crown with circular rubies on it. Because his soul was split apart to dominate both sides of the afterlife, he carried on two appearances, which each represented the specific spiritual element the form embodies: The first half, Hell Emperor, Emperor of Hell, or simply Dark Emperor, depicts him in an almost bestial light: a nightmarish form with a skull-like face and razor-sharp teeth, and snakes on his head similar to Medusa. He is covered with spines, at least some of which are also present near the torso. He wears a dark cape or cloak and has clawed hands. The other half, the Light Emperor, depicts him with an almost otherworldly appearance where he always has his eyes closed. He has six wings similar to a Seraph, and a golden gate on his back. He at times appears to be made of clouds and wears a light-colored robe. Personality: Being the ruler of Palamecia, the Emperor is arrogant, intelligent and manipulative. He is polite when referring to his enemies but at the same time is quick to call them insects or worms. His arrogance also leads him to refuse to personally fight his enemies unless they prove themselves by defeating his minions, as evidenced by his actions onboard the Cyclone regarding Firion and his friends. He is a misanthrope, harboring a hatred of humanity, declaring humanity to have a flawed sense of justice and having forsaken love, and being inherently violent. He views himself as the only one capable of ruling as Emperor, as evidenced by his first lines upon returning from Hell, telling Leon the world can only have one Emperor. He was also implied to be skilled with developing advanced weaponry, as the Dreadnought airship was implied to have been developed by him. In Dissidia Final Fantasy the Emperor's personality from Final Fantasy II is expanded on. He is always calm and never loses control of his emotions, because he believes his plan will succeed without fail. His intelligence is demonstrated when he formulates the plan to kill Cosmos for good and end the war in Chaos's favor using the Crystals. Mateus holds disgust for nihilistic viewpoints, as evidenced by his reaction when Garland compares him with Kefka, and his pre-battle quote with Kefka in the first Dissidia implies he disapproves of Kefka's atrocities, as he threatens to give Kefka "a taste of Hell." Abilities: Even before he crowns himself Emperor of Hell, Mateus is incredibly powerful, able to create cyclones destructive enough to devastate entire towns and even lift one of his castles to use as a mobile fortress, and he cast strong a lightning-elemental spell and use a variety of protection spells such as Protect, Wall, Shell, Haste and Blink in battle. The opening FMV included in the PSX version of Final Fantasy II implied that the Emperor can also manipulate the tide of battle via energy from his fingertips, even when he isn't directly at the battlefield. Upon his death, and eventual rebirth, he gains the ability to summon Pandaemonium to the surface of Earth as well as a slew of new demonic powers. His physical attacks have a Drain effect, allowing him to steal lifeforce from enemies to replenish himself and heal injuries. His physical strikes also sometimes Poison or Stun who they strike, indicating some kind of poison or maybe just touching him while he is demonic is deadly. He still has his Thunder spell and now a very high level Flare attack and the original Meteor spell "Starfall." The Emperor is nigh invincible to most physical attacks unless it's against the Blood Sword or the attacker is augmented by Haste or Temper. In the novelization of Final Fantasy II, Mateus is strong enough to defeat Satan in battle, and sold his soul to him for the power to summon demons from Hell. His light half was possibly more powerful than his Hell counterpart, the Heaven Emperor's Flare and Starfall attacks are more powerful than his Hell counterparts' and he can use two new equally dangerous attacks, Holy and Blaze. He also possesses the power to give dead souls their bodies back, as seen when he resurrects Minwu, Scott, Josef and Ricard along with a town full of war casualties. In Dissidia Final Fantasy, the Emperor's list of powers expands. He can produce magnetic energy mines, focus explosive magical energy on his staff, and create lightning-elemental crests that fire projectiles or ensnare enemies, alluding to his original incarnation's powers. He also has the power of telekinesis. RANDOM TRIVIA BECAUSE I CAN!!: The Light Emperor's portrait is based on Mateus's appearance from a promotional poster drawn by Yoshitaka Amano. By poisoning the water supply of Deist's wyverns, the Emperor was the first villain in the series to wipe out an entire kingdom. This infamous act that would later be performed by Kefka Palazzo in Final Fantasy VI to an even grander scale, where the water supply of people was poisoned. Though the Emperor is arrogant and is not met until halfway into the game, he addresses his enemies (particularly Firion) using their names, in a somewhat non-distant manner. The identity of the Dark Knight may be relevant to this. The Emperor is well known in Japan for his death-cry of "Uboaaa!" and the romanized version, "Uboar!". "Uboar" is even the name of his popular Japanese fanclub. His death-cry also is used when he loses in Dissidia, and Tidus questions him about his scream. In the English version, his death-cry was changed to "Ungaahhhh!", which has also caught on in Japan due to the English subtitle option of Final Fantasy II for the PlayStation Portable. "Uboaa" is also used in the English prototype of Final Fantasy II, Dark Shadow Over Palakia. His name, Mateus, is referenced in Dissidia, as the name of his best weapon, Mateus's Malice. The Emperor is subtly referenced in the popular web comic 8-Bit Theater. Black Mage Evilwizardington is killed by Lich and sent to Hell where he overthrows the current rulers and takes over, absorbing the powers of Hell and returning to Earth. He kills Lich and announces his plan to conquer the world, but is stripped of his powers shortly after when Lich heals the overthrown demons and becomes the new king of Hell. The novelization states the Emperor killed Satan to become the new Lord of Hell. Satan's name and existence is not stated explicitly in the game.

(Using this format because not too much info has been given on the character) Character Name: Noctis Lucis Caelum Brief Character Profile: Noctis Lucis Caelum, Noct for short, is a playable character and the protagonist of Final Fantasy XV. He is a prince, the last heir to a dynasty of the kingdom of Lucis, being the last kingdom to have control over crystals. From his throne, he defends his kingdom from marauders and barbarians who seek to conquer the city and claim the crystals by force. Due to an accident in his childhood, Noctis becomes able to see the "light", and he gains the power to foresee a person's death. Role Playing Sample: Noctis strained the muscles in his neck and shoulders to look up, the wounds he'd suffered already making even the slightest of movements difficult. The military trained behemoth stood on its hind legs and raised the blade it wielded, almost the size of a small house. Come on...I can't go out like this. Thoughts ran through his head and a drawn out " Tch" left his lips. Keeping his eyes on the opponent, he swore he could see the thing smiling at him. I...I weakly, Noctis gripped his falchion and nearly injured himself just by lifting it above his head. It pointed out at the Behemoth. " I...can't.." Words finally left him and through blurred vision he witnessed his enemy begin to drop its blade. " Come o-! Hn?!" He exclaimed, never clashing blades with the opponent. He had been pulled back, and there standing in his previous spot was Gladious, his serrated greatsword rammed against the behemoths. " Prince Noctis! You cannot always charge out like that! Ignis, heal him up." The words came from his long time friend and suddenly a swirl of green surrounded him. Cura. Ignis must have been offering support from a distance. The wounds on his body healed slowly but surely, and Noctis could feel the strength return to his muscles. Balling up and then opening his fist, the prince would give a smirk. " Thanks." He'd speak, then point outwards at the enemy, an oddly shaped spear being sent out from seemingly thin air into the monsters wrist. Through his own eyes he could see a thin blue line linking him to the blade. Grabbing it, Noct instantly moved to where the spear was. The beast let out a howl of pain from the stab then a grunt of surprise as its entire hand was removed in the blink of an eye. " Gladius, now!" Noct would yell, a bloody falchion in his hands as he moved to his friend, throwing the blade next to him and teleporting over. Not giving the monster a chance to attack, Noctis helped Gladius lift up the large blade which belonged to it. Getting it halfway off the ground, his large friend let out a rough yell before slamming it into the opponents shoulder and chest area, stunning it as well as making it stumble. " Noct, do it!" The man would speak. A burning sensation traveled through the right arm of Noctis before he flung out a ball of fire towards the behemoth. " Firaga." The ball came in contact and as the prince smiled and snapped his fingers, a large explosion took out the creature. (Meh, not my best but it was done on a phone. So, can I play as this character? )
